Introducing the latest addition to the Andrew Brownsword Hotel collection, AA Hotel Group of the Year for 2017-18. Minster Mill is just 15 miles from the dreaming spires of Oxford and 11 miles from the inspiring Blenheim Palace. Our charming Cotswold stone buildings and barns are flanked by 65 acres of idyllic grounds set in the picture-perfect Oxfordshire village of Minster Lovell. We’ve just finished the final stages of a major refurbishment programme, taking in all the bedrooms and public spaces and creating an impressive new hotel restaurant and bar. Our magical gardens, lush wild flower meadows and woodland come alive during the summer months, with fishing, walking, croquet and tennis on the menu. When temperatures drop, our hearty food, cosy interiors and roaring log fires provide a welcome, hospitable haven.
Beautiful location with a fantastic little pub across from the hotel . A great spot for walks and not too far from nearby villages . The staff were friendly and helpful . The Room we had was quite small but was overlooking stream and had a nice outdoor area complete with log fire with marshmallows provided in the fridge so that was nice. Breakfast was nice as was the upstairs bar area but we couldn't get any proper food at 10pm even via room service once kitchen closed which was a bit disappointing . You need to book to use the pool so that's not great but overall we enjoyed the stay .

The George Inn is a 17th Century thatched pub and hotel in Barford St Michael, not far from Oxford on the edge of the Cotswolds. Our charming country inn has been delicately restored with the aim of providing beautiful and comfortable rooms for our guests. All nine bedrooms have been individually decorated with en-suite bathrooms, flat screen TV's and tea / coffee making facilities. There are 4 double bedrooms above the pub and an additional 5 in the Garden Lodge, all with stunning views across the valley. A full English breakfast is served in the main dining room from 7am - 10am. Our restaurant is open daily and our head chef has created a variety of dishes that focus on local, sustainable and, above all, quality ingredients.
Really negative experience. We booked for a night at the George Inn plus dinner in the restaurant for a special birthday night away. We arrived and asked whether we could check in, to which we were simply told ‘no’. We were given no time to explain that we had meant check in, take a walk and then go to our room at 4pm. We put this slightly unfriendly first impression behind us and found the staff to be very pleasant as we ordered drinks and sat in the garden. Once taken to our room, while beautiful, we were surprised to find the toilet was not en-suite but located in the same space with a small wooden screen. We were told that we were also welcome to use the toilet down in the pub. We spoke to the same member of staff who greeted us at the beginning of our stay and who also turned out to be the General Manager to explain that we were uncomfortable with this arrangement and to see if there were any other rooms available. While saying that she had spoken to the owner several times herself about the set up of the room, the General Manager offered no warmth or understanding beyond that. She also told us that the rooms were clearly described on the website although we can find no mention of a room with toilet in situ. There was a vague suggestion of talking to the owner about a possible discount or finding us alternative accommodation. The overall sense was that she was doing us a favour and there was no acknowledgement of our disappointment or a level of customer service that you might hope to expect. We decided to leave at this point, feeling slightly baffled and very disappointed at what had originally shown every sign of being a really special experience. We would never return to this venue.

I’m really sad to be writing a review like this. Due to the corona outbreak and government telling people not to travel, our concert was cancelled in oxford. I called both the hotel and booking.com and they both said nothing they could do. I started by stating that I didn’t wish for a refund as I would like to return back to this hotel in the future and support them, which they declined. I’m really angry at the fact I tried to firstly support the hotel when times like this are so important to come together and support business’s but for them to point black refuse aswell as booking.com is really disappointing. We travel to Oxford often as we have family there and I have stayed at iffley house before. Sadly if nothing come of this in terms of change of dates or refund, I will not be coming to this hotel again, and I advise other people not to, as they clearly don’t support their customers and they only think of money.

Very clean and well equipped but unusual room layout - the bedroom and the bathroom had to be crossed via a hallway. Not sure how it sleeps 4. We were 3 and the pullout sofa was one of the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on and to get to bathroom you had to cross the hall and go through the next bedroom and wake everyone. Otherwise very clean, spacious and central.

The room was comfortable and clean, but the lighting was poor, the walls very thin, the pictures tasteless, there was no hairdryer and one morning there was no hot water. There was an out of date magazine, and a book about a local garden. Not very inspiring. None of the usual information about the area, what to do, where to visit etc. No phone or details of what to do in an emergency. There was a kettle and a few different teabags and UHT milk, though we did get fresh milk and a cup full of chocolate powder when we asked. Although the member of staff was very apologetic about the hot water and the manager very friendly when he was on duty, there was never any communication from the owners.

Oxford B&B is in Kidlington near to Oxford City centre, Blenheim Palace and Bicester Village, it's very nicely done and our valued guest liked it very much.
☹️ Bit of a scruffy area, there was undesirable characters sitting on a bench outside drinking beer at 10am, musty smell, mystery stains on the bedding, no breakfast provided. ? bed was reasonably comfy, tv in rooms with Netflix, bathrooms in room Probably won’t stay again

Planned a birthday trip to Bicester village and booked this hotel. We have stayed in the past with no real issues (over 3 years ago) The bar was grubby with locals hogging the bar area making it difficult to order drinks. Constantly hearing the staff swearing behind the bar gave us very poor first impressions. Anyway the bed was really uncomfortable, one of the drawers had a left over childs cup and toothpaste in it so hadn't been checked, cob webs on the ceiling, then there was the bathroom ? the toilet seat was hanging off, there were (what can only be described as bogeys) on the shower tiles and the plug to the shower was black with dust and hair build up it was disgusting (i have pictures !). The kettle had to be moved to be plugged in, only 2 hand towels and the fridge had mould in it. When we called the number for a towel we were told its not an emergency then a lady turned up with her child with food all round his mouth to hand us a towel. We couldn't even attempt to order breakfast we just complained and left. Luckily we did not pay for the room that was priced at £120 it was not even worth being free as it was disgusting ruined the birthday weekend.

Really superb find in Kidlington. The room was immaculately clean and the bed was enormous and very comfortable. The host made us feel very welcome and the no shoes policy gave us assurance they were very keen to keep the place spotless. Though not in the heart of Oxford, the bus services (the stop is a 2 min walk from the property) are quick, cheap and very regular. Breakfast was also plentiful! We will definitely be returning!
