Just steps away from Lille’s two major train stations and the Euralille business district, Mama Shelter Lille is centrally located, which allows travelers to easily explore the city. Each of Mama Lille's 112 rooms has been carefully designed by Jalil Amor to create a cozy shelter and offer the ideal combination of comfort and modernity. At any point in the night, the restaurant and bar welcome you with open arms, whether it be for a dance, to sip a cocktail or to indulge in a delicious homemade meal. A bonus feature of this Mama is the 180° view of the capital of Flanders. As always, Mama's thought of everything.
Loved the place made our first visit to a Lille relaxing. The breakfast was really plentiful and varied. We were impressed. The bathroom was nice, the TV free movies, the quality of the bedroom and bed was first class. The staff were friendly. The location was practical to see Lille, the distance from the Eurostar station was walkable. We will return.

Close to the Channel, a very good alternative to a hotel for bed & breakfast. Extremely quiet - despite the railway line a few feet away - and a lovely warm welcome! At just €79 for a lovely big double room one could hardly go wrong. Breakfast was not the best, but did the job well enough.

A recommander

A friend and I needed accommodation for a racehorse and ourselves after bad weather prevented our ferry travel. At night and at very short notice the owners had a stable ready for our filly. They opened up the cottage for my friend and myself and they provided us with a lovely dinner. They could not have been more welcoming, helpful and nice. The stables are excellent, quiet and roomy, the cottage was very good and comfortable, the dinner was delicious and it was an absolute pleasure to be in their company. Unfortunately the weather was horrible (in January) so we couldn't enjoy the countryside. I would recommend it highly whether you have a horse or not.

We stayed here for two nights. We received a very cordial welcome, despite arriving unannounced. Our spacious, well-equipped room was off a lovely courtyard. The hotel is next to the railway line but it must be very well soundproofed as we heard very little of the trains. We ate in the hotel one evening and had a very tasty, well cooked and presented meal. Breakfast was the typical French meal of bread and jam and pastries, with great coffee. We will stay here again next time we are in the area.

Due to Ferry delay at Dunquerque we needed to stay overnight. Found this “hotel” on the sat nav. Noisy, smelly, dirty and very unhelpful gentleman at reception. No breakfast provided and price was crazy. Too tired to argue so we stayed. Rubbish. The sign reads “Brit Hotel”. With a little creative graffiti, “Brit” could easily be re-written “Sh#t”. Avoid this place.

Stayed here for four nights and can’t fault the hotel or the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I travelled by motorcycle and was no problem parking in the locked courtyard so all was safe and secure. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the main square in Bethune. Some rooms have jacuzzi baths, very clean, spacious and comfortable. Will definitely stay again when I’m the area

A beautifully restored water mill decorated in a very interesting and individual style. Owner spoke little English but we got by and she was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was exceptional with French toast to die for! Very convenient for Le Touquet and not far from Channel crossings. Would stay there again.
