The capital of Spain, Madrid is where established traditions, classic and alternative art scenes, and a knack for socializing over food or drinks at any hour come together in a vibrant, walkable city with a laid back yet metropolitan vibe. From the sparkling lights and illuminated fountains of the stately Paseo del Prado to the narrow streets of hipster Malasaña where the fiesta continues until into the morning, the neighborhoods of Madrid are eclectic and fascinating. Everywhere you go, you’ll see people out and about, enjoying all this historic city has to offer.

Location! Nice and clean ! Comfortable room , bed . Actually - it’s a renovated building located at the centre of the centre so you feel the real life of living in a flat in Madrid with Teresa , but still quiet and calm . The room itself is renovated with wood floor , nice shower/ bathroom. Room have space and the feeling is good ! Breakfast is nice and it served 7:30 to 11 ! There are not so many rooms , there is no actually lobby- for me it was to be at home and not at a hotel. This is positive! Remark. I really intend to return to this nice hotel or actually- home in Madrid.

Roisa Hostal Boutique is the best hostel in Madrit ! Everything new, warm water, spacious shower, excellent bed, pleasant staff, very close to the metro. Close to Carrefour Mini. Close to pizzeria Papa Jones. The photos don't do it justice. The hostel is the highlight of the trip.

We really enjoyed our stay the room is small but perfect, the mattress is really comfortable and the bed goes up and down is really awesome. The room was very clean and was perfect to use your computer or study. The pool was very nice as well but was the only facility available as the gym and spa was only available for residents. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Another good choice for budget accommodations in Central Madrid that are safe, clean, convenient, and (relatively) quiet. I had a six-night stay booked online at a website that was quite reasonable given its location, a few steps from Plaza de Callao and the Gran Via. Note that they have a fairly strict advance deposit and cancellation policy, so check the fine print when you book. The hostal is on the second floor of the building. I was assigned a room in back that had a window overlooking the typical Madrid interior courtyard/air shaft. The room was actually pretty spacious for a budget hostal single, with a wide single bed, a night stand, a closet with hangers and a pay-per-use safe. There was also a table that you could fold out from the wall. The bathroom was well-sized, though the shower stall was a little narrow. Hot water was usually plentiful, and the heating worked well. The drawbacks to Hostal Milan are that the walls are very thin. I could easily hear my neighbors' conversations on either side. The wifi is free, but sometimes was not very reliable, either clogging up or extremely slow. On the other hand, it could sometimes be fast enough to stream video clearly. The last nights of my stay, it looked like the hostal was trying to address the wifi issue by adding another access point. Finally, the hostal asks that you leave the keys at the reception when you go out rather than give you a key you can take with you. Given the right rate, I'd stay here again, and keep my fingers crossed for considerate neighbors.

The property was kinda hard to find as it´s located in an apartment building with almost no signage out front stating the name of the hotel. We didn´t really know what to expect when walking up the stairs which kinda looked like the set of the Spanish horror movie "REC" from 2007. However, once we got up on the second floor, we quickly found the reception and a staff member which did not speak a word of English so I was unable to get a proper receipt for the stay. I meant to do it when I left but then I had to change my flight to an earlier one, there was no one at the reception that early or around 06.00 AM. The reception was rarely open though. The room was fine, everything you need, coffee, A/C, large 3-4 person bath and a nice and comfy bed. The location is also very good in the gay area of Madrid, bunch of gay scene restaurants and bars in the vicinity. Price good compared to other properties around the area and generally in Madrid.

I am not one for giving reviews but my stay at the Jardines Boutique has too good and it just deserves at least a 5 star! The manager Alvaro is very attentive and thoughtful to all your needs. He does things out of genuine interest for his customers and there is no doubt that he is doing this to get something out of someone; he does it because you feel he really cares. The maids are also exceptional, and although my Spanish is very rudimentary they managed to make me smile every day. Regarding the room, I thought it is great value for money especially when you consider how central it is! I would recommend it to really anyone and although the rooms and location are great, it truly is the people who make it amazing! Cheers, Baptiste Fernandez
