We have stayed at this Hotel a number of times in the last few years. We are disappointed that you now have to pay to park at the hotel. Travelodge state this is to ensure that guests are able to park. Surely the answer is to charge non guests to park. A cynic would think it is ploy to extract more money from guests

Enjoying a picturesque location, this property is located on Panshanger Golf Complex, with lodge style bedrooms opening out onto views of the golf course and rolling countryside. Bedrooms are small but smartly presented and are well equipped for business and leisure guests. Breakfast and bar meals are served by the friendly staff in the adjacent pub. A large peaceful garden and a function room for private hire are available. Play and stay golf packages can be organised and there is free ample on-site parking. Nearby attractions include Hatfield House, Knebworth House & Gardens, St. Albans Cathedral, Shaw's Corner, Hertford Castle and Welwyn Roman Baths. London Kings Cross is only 20 minutes away by train. We also host live music and DJ events, please check with the team before you arrive to see if there will be any noise. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT OFFER A 24 HOUR RECEPTION. CHECK-IN IS BETWEEN 14:00 & 22:30 HRS.
Had a big birthday Party here and overall was disappointed by the food experience The positives of the night were: Venue - nice Resident DJ - very good Staff on the night were good serving prosecco and serving behind the bar The big negative and a spoiler and embarrassment of the night was the food ! 1. It was not made clear at the onset that the buffet was only 6 products and we were not asked to confirm which 6 lines we wanted so what was served was not what we would have chosen 2. The food was requested to be served at 9pm and it was all hot food that was selected (not by us) and put out at 8.30pm so by the time we noticed it and announced it was being served it was cold and soggy! Some people said it was not even cooked properly We did complain on the night and the Manager did proactively ask the kitchen to knock up some sandwiches but this was later on in the night and people had eaten by then as we had personally taken a cheese tier cake and cheese biscuits which were well received with the rest of the food being awful so the sandwiches were left and a waste. 3. We paid £700 for what looked like £100 of Iceland frozen food. None of my guests could believe we were paying £700 for just the food and for what was served! We complained and gave our feedback and rationale to the event organiser but did not even receive an apology. We can all make mistakes but the recovery can make a difference and sadly the View did not even try to recover what was a very disappointing situation for us. I could not recommend this for functions in future because of our poor experience

4 of us stayed , two single rooms 1 double. The staff were brilliant, the breakfast was nice, the pub was good. We stayed for 3 night , everyday asked for extra pillow , promised it would be sorted out, it wasn’t. I didn’t sleep very well, because no pillow , each room had thin walls, so anybody used their shower, it eas loud. Traffic from busy road , also loud no double glazing. Room was not cleaned for the 3 days we stayed. No clean towels changed. If I had not been promise pillows would have put up with all other discomforts. I can also say the two single rooms had no complaints. Pity because I really love led the staff

The room was spacious and clean with a new modern bathroom. The food was amazing, the breakfast was included but we also had a lovely dinner. The staff were lovely, in particular Amelie, who made us feel very welcome.

We visited hatfield and we found the mills on bookings.com. The price was very reasonable at £45 but we added breakfast at £5 each and an extra £10 for cleaning was added! The location is lovely nice and quiet, but... lovely lady and very clean room with a noisy little fridge(turned it of at night)but with a shared bathroom and its in the people house who live there! it was hard to feel relaxed, having to get dressed to use the toilet. There is only a mixer tap shower so not very good. Breakfast was ok but when we asked for brown sauce she didnt know what it was!

I had a a fantastic stay here on a recent business trip. Karen our host was absolutely fantastic and looked after me during my stay. My room was perfect clean tidy and had everything to make my stay perfect. Kettle tea coffee cereal milk juice water all stocked up everyday and was very welcome before and after a long day I was only a short walk from Royston town were there were several lovely pubs and restaurants to eat. I will definitely be staying here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area you won’t be disappointed.

J'ai apprécié la propreté et le confort de ces appartements. Chaque appartement a sa place de parking, c'est pratique. Balades à pied à proximité le long des canaux et de leurs "narrow boat". On peut rejoindre la station de métro Croxley à pied.
