Reviewed By DJS54I was shopping locally and as I was driving past spotted there was a space in the parking bays directly outside so spontaneously decided to call in here for a spot of lunch. My wife and I had been here for lunch back in August shortly after moving to the area but it never occurred to me to review it at the time. It was a few minutes before 1pm and the place was heaving, every table in the front dining area adjacent to the bar was occupied and I was shown through to the light and spacious rear dining room. No difference in here as I counted a mix of 20 diners already in situ ranging from couples to a family with teenagers and pairs of businessmen. I took my place at a table for 4 that had one remaining place setting left and shortly after I arrived another 4 guests wandered in in pairs. I quote these numbers purely as we were all served by a single waitress and at no time were there any complaints from anyone about waiting for their different courses and neither were empty dishes left on tables for lengthy periods as she moved effortlessly around the room like the Roadrunner on Speed. So effective was she that I do believe if the small exterior courtyard (that was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy ones meal in the summer) with another half dozen tables set amongst a number of vines was open, that she would have been serving them as well! The Menu du Jour started with an extremely tasty and piping hot lump of fish on a bed of spinach with a creamy cheese sauce and topped with an open mussel in its shell and served with the obligatory basket of bread. It’s size wouldn’t have disgraced a main course in some restaurants’ but there was more to follow. The main was a huge bowl of Côte du Bœuf accompanied by a separate plate of vegetables - cabbage, carrots, leek and potatoes the entirety of which would have fed a small army, after which this boy was certainly slow marching on a full stomach. The conclusion was a choice between profiteroles or Crème Pâtisserie. I chose the latter and was thankful for its normal dimensions. I had a [expresso] coffee to finish and even though it was charged extra the whole at just €14 was a steal and completed in a shade over three quarters of an hour. Good wholesome food, large portions and efficient service, can you ask for anything more from an eaterie?

Reviewed By Fabyenne LGreat place to stay in complete nature in tree houses, but with comfort; plenty of great food delivered to your door (dinner and breakfast) by very nice and friendly hostess. Great view of the Dordogne. For nature lovers but with a touch of comfort (bathroom with hot water)!

Anniversary lunch
Reviewed By Ericv1428New owners, this used to be good and luckily is still very nice! Great garden/terrace, very nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and great food and drinks! It stays one of the favorites here, we will surely come again.

Petit déjeuner copieux , tout est fait maison avec des produits naturels... chambre confortable , tout est d'époque je recommande pour s'évader un weekend ...dommage très difficile de réserver le restaurant du village , il faut s'y prendre longtemps à l'avance

Reviewed By tobyv304Genoten van een goede kamer met badkamer. Wordt geregeld goed schoongemaakt. Verwend met een dagelijks prima ontbijt, verzorgd door de prettige gastvrouw en gastheer. Riante tuin met verschillende zitgelegenheden en een lekker zwembad. Kregen goede tips wat te doen en waar te gaan eten in de omgeving. Al met al een aanrader!

Reviewed By simon mThis B+B is located just 3 miles outside Brive in a very quiet rural location down a dead end road and is a real gem, beautiful location extremely hospitable owner and fab breakfast, beds also great and spotless. Swimming pool outside your patio doors! LUXURIOUS.
