A very average hotel. The room was ok, basic, but reasonably well maintained. I found out housekeeping was still on request even though this hadn’t been communicated at breakfast - I’m sorry but this is not acceptable and a pure money saving exercise. The biggest bugbear was the traffic noise. I was on the top floor at the front of the hotel, but the windows had very poor seals and you could clearly hear every boy racer and emergency service vehicle. Ear plugs were a must.

Had a lovely one night stay in the lovely furnished Bed and Breakfast. Plenty of parking. Great views. Comfortable room with tea and coffee facilities. Lovely breakfast. Great customer service. Highly recommended.

Our family-run BnB is situated in one of the most peaceful and picturesque areas in the north east of Scotland. Pennan was used as a location in the film "Local Hero" during the 1980s and garnered a lot of popularity that way. The iconic telephone booth featured in the film is still a favorite among tourists visiting the village. We offer a peaceful and relaxing environment with the North Sea right in front of our Inn which allows you to listen to the sounds of the waves crashing on the shores. You are always guaranteed to wake up to a breathtaking view. Our rooms are bright and cozy, while two of them offer sea view on top of it. You're more than welcome to enjoy a beer or a glass of wine in our small but old established style pub. As of July 20, our gallery will display the works of local artists and photographers. Come and see for yourself what Pennan is all about! We will make sure to stay in touch with our guests about mandatory safety precautions in regards to COVID-19 ahead of their arrival.
Stopover for two nights on the NE250, what a great place always wanted to come since watching local hero and wasn't disappointed. Monkia and her husband only just took over when covid hit so they haven't had the best of starts but they are trying very hard. They are very welcoming and serve a great breakfast in the gallery which is worth the visit on its own. All the best to them, we have to go back !

I stayed here two days ago, and found it to be an ideal spot for simple basic accommodation. It is similar to a Travel Lodge , perfectly situated near the middle of Inverurie. This is a newly converted Railway works, with a Heritage Centre opposite. The rooms are very clean, small but with all essentials. The communal breakfasting kitchen had all mod cons, where you could use the fridge, toaster, coffee machines, etc and the Continental style breakfast was very comprehensive. There is a lounge for sitting in as well. Chris, who runs the site, was very welcoming and helpful. No food supplied but Tesco and M&S is very close by.

Located in Kintore, The Square Kintore features a restaurant, bar and free WiFi throughout the property. Guests at the hotel can enjoy the use of our restaurant Wednesday to Sunday and our Bar & Lounge 7 days a week. You can play darts at The Square Kintore, and the area is popular for hiking.
We stayed in the Square for a last minute trip to a country festival, and it did not disappoint! we stayed in room number 6 and it was extremely fresh, modern and tidy for our arrival. ? there was of course some noise from the pub (especially due to it being jubilee weekend) but we didn’t mind that at all and even joined in on some of the music from the room ? I also emailed the hotel regarding a possible earlier check in due to a long travel time, and Allan could not have been more accommodating and helped to organise an earlier check in time for us. we will definitely be back, thank you!! ?

I had my friend, stay here for a while, for a budget hotel it is very good. For those who stay long periods of time they get access to the kitchen faculties. The whole hotel is fully automated. Any issues with anything we would call the employees and they were more than happy to help. The service when required was great and the overall experience for the price we paid was fantastic. ?Me and my friend are very happy with this place ?

I'm just back from a 4-night stay in the Dee Hotel and I loved it! For £30 a night it's great value! More a hostel than a hotel but the shared kitchen meant I met a load of lovely folk. My en-suite room was spotless and bed was so comfy. I'm a young 61-year-old and going back again in November. Joe, keep up the good work! Love to you and Loradana (spelling might be wrong!) and everyone else I met. Great place and so central. xxx
