Excellent service

Reviewed By kwan3452

From the moment we arrived till we departed, excellent service from all the staff was experienced. A relaxed check in comfort accompanied by drinks. The rooms had so many facilities not seen in most hotels, e.g. the face wash, shaving foam and aftershave in addition to moisturiser and lotions for ladies. Complimentary Snacks & teabags were refreshed daily. The best experience was the keseki dinners we enjoyed on both nights. Besides the fresh ingredients, the two serving staff went out of their way to translate the ingredients so that we could understand. I hope that hotel management will convey the appreciation from all of us staying in 301-304. I attached a photo.

Seafood, Onsen and caring staff

Reviewed By cranapple5

The hotel is across from Sakaiminato JR station, about a 50min (cute) train ride from Yonago. The area has one of the largest ports known for snow crabs and all sorts of fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan. Visitors enjoy the crab markets in the area and seafood restaurants on a street with the theme of comic creatures by Muzuki Shigeru, a famous cartoonist from the area. This hotel itself was amazing. It was spotless, and every details from Ikebana flower arrangement to comfortable room with all sorts of amenities made us feel welcome. For foreign travelers they had a handout in English explaining their system. This enabled the foreign guests take full advantage of what the hotel offered. The top floor had natural Onsen hot spring baths with water so soothing to the skin. All necessary amenities were prepared by the hotel. The breakfast was known for create-yourself-Chirashi sushi and all the spread at the buffet with Japanese and western foods. Again the seafood here was so fresh. What made this hotel so special was the staff. Their hospitality was genuine, and showed they care. They made us feel like we came back to a home away from home. Definitely worth the experience.

Great Beef and good view

Reviewed By LuLu_HK

Visited here for 2 nights. It is up to most Onsen Hotel standard in Japan but no surprise except one of the dinner where the main dishes is beef which is so great. Room is huge, staff is nice, ocean view is great. The only thing that I can complain here is 1. Outdoor Onsen is very small. May fit 3 pax only with comfortable zone 2. No rest area for free milk or tea or small gold drink (except water) after onsen as most of other Onsen hotel Rest of the service is great.

Additionally, the ryokan was accommodating with food allergies- we called ahead to ask if they can make accommodations and they did. The food was DELICIOUS!! Also, the the onsen was great! They have the public and private bath options. The location of the ryokan was convenient. We will be staying here again when we return Tottori. Thank you fo such a wonderful stay!

Such a lovely place to stay, immaculately clean, free parking. You really must have their meals, you can add them on at check in if that type of room cannot be reserved ahead of time. Service was top notch and very helpful. We even saw snow monkey out the window of our room. Highly recommended, our favorite accommodation in Japan.

terrible

I've never stayed such a terrible hotel ever. As I heard that this is a No1 hotel in Tsuwano,I chose this hotel. The room was very old, small, damp and dirty. I saw several cockroaches in my room and I got a tick bite there. The furniture in the room was so old and spooky. It was not worth the price, 9800JPN! Too expensive! It was said that this hotel had big bath with onsen. But the water smelled a kind of chlorine. I advice not to stay this hotel.

Super fun - super Japanese - super food!

Reviewed By OutdoorsAdventurer

Classic Japanese-oriented mountain ryokan. We were the only foreigners, so it was a fun immersion (literally as well as figuratively). Waaaaay more fun that ryokan aimed at foreigners. They do have a laminated English sheet which explains where things are, opening hours and such. If you haven’t been to an onsen before, familiarize yourself with the routine online first. The baths are single gender, both indoor and outdoor. I suspect it may not be a natural spring, but it is nice. Not fancy. The food was great - 5 little appetizers, generous portion of 4 kinds of sashimi, a fun hotpot or fish and veggies, tempura, a DIY grill of beef and veggies, lots of pickles, rice, soup, mochi. The most varied ryokan meal we had in Japan.

So nice

Reviewed By Atairiastos

This is a very cute and small ryokan hotel with friendly staff, and excellent facilities. Our room had an explicit view to the lake. Staying in this hotel you obtain an outstanding overview of Japanese hospitality. The Onsen inside the hotel was so convenient and well organized and clean. The breakfast was outstanding. Very much suggested.
