Welcome to New Plymouth's leading luxury boutique hotel. Located in the CBD and cultural and arts hub of New Plymouth, close to the best restaurants and bars. Exquisite European and Moroccan furnishings, sea views, private balconies, unique local artwork, secure car parking, complimentary internet and kitchenettes help to create your ultimate getaway whether that be for business or pleasure.
We only stayed for one night but wish it had been for longer. This is one of the best hotels we've stayed at in New Zealand - what a gem. Although the price per night was a bit more than we would normally want to pay, it was worth every penny. We were given an upgrade on arrival and the Suite we were given was fantastic. Hotel was centrally located with access easy to the beach and town centre. We would definitely stay here again when next in New Plymouth.

Wairakei Resort Taupo provides superb hotel and villa accommodation and is set amongst a stunning geothermal valley in Taupo. The resort has excellent indoor & outdoor leisure facilities including two thermal heated swimming pools, six hot pools, a fitness centre, nine-hole golf course, tennis courts and so much more. The dining options are also exquisite with something for all budgets. It is also a purpose built conference venue catering to up to 600 conference delegates. Situated in the Wairakei Tourist Park, the resort is close to Taupo’s many activities and attractions and is only a 5 minute drive from the centre of Taupo.
We really liked this resort but something needs to be done pronto about the really tired carpets in some of the common areas. The hot oools were great, pity that no spa pools were operating. Staff were lovely as was the included breakfast, set us up well for the day ahead

We booked this hotel due to its location with access to Marine Parade and local shops and restaurants/cafes. It also sells itself as a 4+* so was expecting great things. Unfortunately it did not live up to that expectation. The room was pretty small and the positioning of the bathroom mirror was bizarre making it impossible to look into it without squishing yourself against the door and benchtop. One of the wall lamps was loose with the bulb hanging from the wires and there was what looked like a blood stain on one of our bath towels. Not what we would expect from a hotel with such a high star rating. The one redeeming feature was the french door opening onto the rooftop balcony with views across to the Pacific Ocean. There are other hotels we would choose above this one in future.

Relax in the tranquil atmosphere of The Paihia Pacific Resort Hotel which has a 3 Star Plus rating and Enviro Bronze Award. Swim in the pool, relax in our spa, work out in our gymnasium. Most of our rooms look over a natural setting of native and subtropical plantings and are available at surprisingly affordable rates. The Paihia Pacific Resort Hotel is located at 27 Kings Road, Paihia, Bay of Islands, New Zealand. It is a short stroll to the ocean and only a 5 minute walk into Paihia town centre.
We booked for 3 nights because of all the amenities this place had to offer - Pool, Spa, Sauna, hotels own bar/Restaurant. However, upon arrival we soon found out the restaurant/bar wasn’t to be open as they don’t do this anymore, the sauna doesn’t work, the Spa pool was not clean (murky brown water and half full). Quite disappointed as we booked because this place had all these things to offer. There was no ironing facilities in room - had to ask for this, no phone in room. We went out for the day at 8am and left the “Service room” sign on door, arrived back at 5pm and nothing had been touched, had to ask for clean dry towels etc Breakfast was basic bread to toast, mini croissants, muesli, yoghurt and fruit. Wouldn’t pay the $15 for this, best to get a breakfast at one of the many cafes close by. Location was great, easy walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Amongst all the issues, the Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wouldn’t be first pick for the next visit, but would go back if all these things are fixed. Has great potential.

Beachside Resort Whitianga offers lovely one & two bedroom self-contained motel apartments at competitive rates. Just a three minute stroll to Whitianga's main street and only a minute to the beautiful Buffalo Beach. Beachside Resort Motel is located on the Beachside of the Oceans Resort complex in the heart of Whitianga, New Zealand (NZ). Perfect to explore the sights and attractions of Mercury Bay and the Coromandel Peninsula.
We booked the superior one bedroom apartment for three nights. The location of the ‘resort’ is fantastic with an easy walk along the waterfront into town and the apartment was of a nice size. Unfortunately the great things stopped there. The bed was horrible and the two toppers that had been placed on top before being made did not help the cheap mattress that was rock hard. We went and purchased our own topper to try and help with our nights sleep and sore backs. When we arrived there had been painting done and the room stunk of paint fumes for the first night. The apartment was showing a lot of signs of wear and tear especially the carpets which had bare patches and rusted chair legs outside which didn’t look safe to sit on. Wouldn’t recommend the shower for anyone of a decent height. I would advise that there are many better places to stay in Whitianga within the same price range.

Located within the Hotel is the chic poolside and ocean view restaurant offering only the finest culinary experience. Visit the hotel's award-winning spa, La Spa Naturale, offering first class spa treatments with a uniquely New Zealand flavour.
Haing got up at 2am to catch a Melbourne to Auckland flight, we were totally wrecked by the time we got to Paihia. Fortunately the room was close to the restaurant and so we were led by our noses to a quiet table, where we enjoyed an excellent meal. With food in our bellies we were somewhat revived, but the two cocktails and the comfy bed ensured a good night's sleep. We stayed two nights here and were very impressed.

We paid $322 a night to stay in a run down house being advertised as 'The Villa'. We could not have been more disappointed on arrival at this shabby tired old property. This stand alone house/villa had unmown lawns and leaking gutters. The kitchen rubbish bin had no lid so that smelt great during our 3 day stay. The furniture was just so grubby. Curtains and blinds were not fit for purpose and didn't fit the windows in most cases. When lying in bed in the master room I could look into the door-less wardrobe and see an old sign that had been chopped up to make a shelf. Absolutely nothing resort like about this accommodation, certainly not worth paying $322 per night.

Nice rooms and spa baths ect. But was very disappointed with the internet (wifi) it was horrible would disconnect continuously as well as the sky . So when we wanted to chill and watch a movie we barely could. Apart from that it was great but that was a big let down.
