Opened in November 2016, Milaidhoo Island Maldives is a boutique luxury resort in the Baa Atoll UNESCO biosphere reserve, close to Hanifaru Bay, 126km north west of Male. It's perfect for nature lovers as its own coral reef, which completely circles the island, is a protected area and noted as an outstanding snorkelling and diving site in its own right. The tiny beautiful island, abundant with tropical greenery, measures just 300 mby 180m and is fringed by white soft deep sand beaches. Designed for couples and honeymooners, Milaidhoo welcomes guests aged nine and above. Offering barefoot informality, each of the 50 spacious air-conditioned villas has its own private freshwater pool on the sundeck and opens up 180 degrees to allow the natural beauty of the island into the villa. Clever design ensures all villas have ocean views. The custom-made furnishings and thoughtful designs are Maldivian inspired, from natural wooden floor to the thatched roof all made by master craftsmen specifically for Milaidhoo. An island host is on hand to ensure every detail of the stay is perfect, from arranging spa appointments and excursions to ensuring the private wine fridge in the villa is stocked with the guest's personal favourites. The room rate includes breakfast as well as wi-fi, laundry, kayaking, use of snorkelling equipment and in-villa treats such as a bottle of champagne and tropical fruit basket on arrival as well as a daily evening turn-down with a gourmet gift from chef. The three restaurants and two bars are designed to appeal to the senses, offering outstanding dining in wonderfully informal settings. No shoes are required. Ever. Food lovers will enjoy the Milaidhoo Gourmet Plan, which is a dine-around meal plan offering daily breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as international and premium brands of spirits, beers and cocktails from a selection as well as fresh juices, soft drinks, mineral water, teas, coffees, milkshakes and smoothies and a premium selection of wines, hand-picked by the sommelier all day long. The over-water spa has four treatment suites and complimentary yoga and meditation classes take place in the open air over-water pavillion. For romantics, Milaidhoo is the perfect choice: from candlelit dinners to scented baths, from flower petal bedecked beds to the perfect place to say "I do'. Sports activities include sailing, catamarans, kayaks, a 24-hour gym, yacht trips, dolphin cruises, whale shark spotting, manta ray watching, conservation activities with the resident marine biologist, fishing, diving, snorkelling, and an open-air infinity pool. Milaidhoo is reached by a scenic 35-minute seaplane ride from Male International Airport. Airport transfers are provided by the hotel at an extra charge. The transfer process is smooth and easy with the resort's representative meeting each guest at the airport and guiding them to the private lounge where they can rest and recharge to await their transfer.
We had a honeymoon beyond our expectations at Milaidhoo. The resort is gorgeous - the villas are thoughtfully designed with tons of privacy, and the grounds and beach are well-maintained. There is a wide variety of food (such that after our weeklong stay we still felt like we wanted more time to explore the menus) and everything we ate was delectable and prepared with care. The surrounding coral reef makes for a fantastic snorkelling experience - again our only wish was that we got to do more snorkelling! And finally the staff - every single individual that we interacted with, starting with Aneez who made the seaplane transfers so seamless and easy, and continuing with Celine, the resort manager, our host Naveen - who was super responsive and went the extra mile for us, Shubh who led amazing daily yoga classes, Marini and Novita who provided professional and such warm service at the spa, Nassey who always ensured that we lacked for nothing in our room, CR whose eagle eyes helped us find dolphins on our tour and warmly shared his fishing stories with us, and Piyal, Taneal, Charuka, Shiaz, Aisham, and Tai who remembered our names and our preferences at the restaurants, and provided impeccable service and recommendations. Thank you again and we can't wait to be back!

Our stay on Finolhu in April/May 2022 was indescribably beautiful. We love to travel to the Maldives, but this vacation was the best time ever. We are still overwhelmed by the friendliness of the team. No matter when and where, we were always warmly welcomed and every wish was read from our lips. Both the overwater villa with pool and the beach villa with pool were a dream. The cleaning team was always there when you weren't there so the villa was very clean at all times. No matter where you stayed on the island, everything was well-kept. A big praise goes to the kitchen of each restaurant. Whether you were at the beach restaurant for breakfast at noon or in the evening, the buffet was always varied, very tasty and incredibly well presented. Our favorite restaurant was the Kanusan and Crab Shack. The quality of the canoe san was incredible. We loved eating there. The Crab Shack has a beautiful vantage point - eating on the sand right by the sea, with nice lounge music, delicious food and great cocktails, wines or champagne. Although we spent a lot of time eating and drinking, the sports program was also a lot of fun. In the gym everything was offered that you could spend 100%. Dancing at the bar in the evenings with pleasant music was our daily ritual, as was diving in the beautiful house reef I could go on writing forever because the vacation was just perfect. Thanks to the whole team - the time was amazing... and we are already counting down the days until we fly to Finolhu again!

Choosing Bakaru Maldives for our honeymoon was the best trip of my life. With a good underwater environment and a good lagoon, I was able to enjoy everything in the Maldives Islands. Also, the service of my butler "Yulia" was really top notch. "Yulia"'s management ability to give quick feedback anytime, anywhere was the best. Thank you for making our first trip after marriage an unforgettable one.

My family stayed in Royal Island last month for five nights. We had a lot of very nice memories from this resort. This is a family-friendly resort. The staff were exceptional. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Shout out to Chef Madeleine who was our toddler's favorite person in the whole resort, so kind and friendly. Shout out as well to the person taking cleaning our room - I think his name was Shaqallam - really helpful. Also Zighmy, Sunil (at our table), the ladies who greeted us every mealtime, and sorry to all the others whose names I forget. The guy cooking with the wok put on a spectacular show that I enjoyed. Everyone was great at handling requests. I was quite impressed with the buffet spread and happy about the all inclusive offer, which makes this place incredible value. There were Italian, Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese, Maldivian, Indian, etc. so after 5 nights there were still things I had not tried. We stayed at a beach villa, which was sparkling clean, spacious and comfortable, and right in front of the beach. The beach was so lovely, sand so fine, and the water so warm and shallow. Really beautiful. Lots of marine life so close to the shore - colorful fish, baby black tipped sharks, crabs. The only thing I disliked was the scheduling of flights. We were only informed of our flight schedules the day before flying in and out of the resort. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay and I would recommend this resort.

The beauty of the islands that make up the Maldives live up to all that has been written about them. The blue lagoons and dazzling white beaches fringed by swaying coconut palms challenge the scope of any camera, and Dhuni Kolhu is said to be the most stunning of them all. Located in Baa Atoll, 124km from Male’ international airport, and easily reached by a 30 minute seaplane flight or a domestic flight followed by a short speedboat ride, Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu captures tropical magic in abundance, beautifully balancing the island’s bountiful vegetation with the resort’s architectural charisma. Inspired by the flourishing sea life and local customs, the resort has been built in harmony with the natural environment. Guests have their own luxury villa, either dotted among palm trees offering peaceful tranquility or on stilts over the lagoon, with spectacular views of the ocean and nearby desert islands. Wood, rattan and cotton furnishings complete the picture of laid-back tropical elegance. The 32 Beach Villas, 25 Sunset Beach Villas, and 27 Deluxe Villas have a Maldivian charm and paradise appeal, whilst the 12 Lagoon Villas offer a refined experience of exclusivity and indulgence. The 2 Sunset Lagoon Villas feature the height of luxury with a separate bed- and living room, Jacuzzi, and wide sundeck with private pool. There are two relaxed bars and a choice of tantalizing dining options, both indoor and outdoor under a canopy of Banyan trees. For the more adventurous, Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu has a variety of Uniquely Coco experiences on offer, including private overnight stays at a near-by deserted island, snorkeling excursions with the resident Marine Biologist to swim with Manta Rays and Sea Turtles, sandbank picnics, scuba diving, island hopping, and sunset fishing. Relaxation can be found at Coco Spa where guests can experience Asian-inspired treatments or participate in Yoga lessons at the beach. Creatively conceived and superbly designed to blend into the natural environment, Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu is the ultimate authentic Maldivian hideaway.
It was my first time traveling to the Maldives but certainly not my last time at Coco Palm. From the moment of our arrival until the day of our departure it was service of the highest level. We made a lot of new friends with the staff and we’re looking forward to see everybody again soon.

Welcome to Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru. A scenic sea-plane ride from Malé Airport, discover a paradise hideaway where luxurious seclusion meets wild natural beauty. This verdant, beach-fringed coral island offers sophisticated pleasures on land and water – from genuine ayurvedic therapies in the spa to splashing, sailing or diving in the jewel-like Indian Ocean and the Maldives’ most pristine lagoon. Located within the Baa Atoll UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, Four Seasons Resort Landaa Giraavaru is a remote natural wilderness that invites a sense of discovery.
We have just returned for a glorious 10 days at the Four Seasons Maldives, Landaa. This was our first trip to the Maldives and we decided to stay at the Four Seasons since we stayed in the Four Seasons is Bora Bora and had an incredible experience there. This resort did not miss the mark on anything... From the moment we stepped off the plane in Male we where greeted by Four Seasons staff and completely taken care of and escorted to the sea plane that was waiting to take us directly to the resort. Upon arrival the experience began with incredible service. The rooms are just beautiful and like none other that we have stayed at, beautifully decorated and very comfortable beds and linen. If you are looking for a hopping nightlife this is not the place for you, it is a really quiet, relaxing environment, which is exactly what we where looking for! My husband is a scuba diver and he couldn't say enough about the Dive team and especially the Dive Manager Abdul who was just a wonderful person! We can not say enough about the staff, every day they great you with your name, even if you have never met that person before, it's just incredible that they remember your name and smile and talk to you like they are your friend.... and you feel the warmth from them all. It was sad to leave the island after 10 days, before leaving to get on the seaplane, the front desk staff and many others including the GM Armondo are there to send you off, waving you goodbye. ( it feels just like fantasy island, I'm dating myself lol) I can't say enough about this resort, the staff and the wonderful experience we had there. We will definitely be back and can't stop talking about it. If you are thinking of booking here, think no longer, just do it!
