Tanzanice Farm offers a friendly and cosy accommodation in Bashay Village, just outside Karatu town in northern Tanzania. The farm is located in one of the slopes in Bashay village among other farmers, offering a great view over farmland and the green hills of Ngorongoro. We rent out self-contained rooms and have in total seven rooms. We do our best to make guests feel at home.
Recently stayed three nights here while we saw the Ngorongoro Crater. The staff, headed by Oliva, were extremely efficient and helpful to us. They met our every need before we even knew what we needed. It was a lovely stay and every meal we were served was also excellent, with delicious local produce. We highly recommend Tanzanice Farm.

White Sand Bungalows is located right on the beach in the quiet tropical village of Jambiani on the South- East Coast of Zanzibar Island. We are about an hour and a half drive from Zanzibar Airport in Stone Town. Right on the white sandy beach washed by clear azure waters, White Sand Bungalows is the place to enjoy the sun, the sea and the tranquility of nature.
This was the first hotel that we have booked for our trip in Zanzibar. It is located just right in front of Jambiani beach in a very beautiful and quiet area and next to Jambiani village and a local market. Although the owner and one of the waiters are very kind, smiley and very attentive we faced some major negatives that we mentioned also to the owner. Before we start we the negatives we would like to mention that the hotel looks very beautiful and promising from the outside and the decoration is in the old traditional style. Some rooms were adequate were others was below standards. Apart from not having a pool this was the most expensive hotel we booked on our trip. The first mistake happened on the time we arrived. Our reservation was made through booking and was a deluxe room with partial view. The manager told us to cancel the reservation and pay directly to them the same amount which was around 85 dollars a night. Apart from being a wrong movement from the staff in that case hotel gains the 15% comission which is supposed to pay. Instead of this we didnt receive any discount and asked also to pay 12 dollars more which finally didnt pay. The second mistake came with the room that were given to us. A small standard room on the back side of the hotel in terrible condition. Thankfully the second day this changed and moved to the one we have paid but the manager said that she didnt know. Not so good management. Another terrible mistake is the cleaning which every day was different. One day they forgot to clean the bathroom, the other didnt change the towels, the third forgot to put shampoo...no shower gel or bath foam at all during all our stay. Another day they forgot to clean one of the cups of coffee which remained like this for 2 days and many days they didnt put water although it was complimentary every day. No need to mention of the misplaced plugs and the unstable power which you face it almost everywhere. Balconies were a good place to relax but luck of chairs and tables which we happily mentioned as a future idea. Another negative is the luck of fridge in such heat. Breakfast was ok but every day the amount was different and much smaller than the rest of the hotels. Restaurant is not the best place to dine as only day ordered and we were totally dissapointed. Also the public toilet used from all guests was also terrible and not clean at all. Many things should be change. Its sad such a hotel in such place to be ruined and not well managed.

We found Fontaine Garden Village purely by accident and it is one of the most memorable stays we have had - from the super helpful manager, Nour, to the accommodations and food The atmosphere is laid back with gorgeous gardens and a 5 minute walk to the beach. Spread around are Hammocks, chairs and beautiful gardens. Great music played throughout the day and evening. The restaurant has great food, and they go out of their way to cater to your whims and tastes. Nour even went shopping to buy and prepare some of our favorite foods. The rooms are quiet and very relaxing But best of all was enjoying playing the house puppy, Johnny, and cat, Tango Easy We felt safe and welcome. Highly recommend - great value for money

Set in the middle of the beautiful rainforest this is the ideal location to explore the East Usambara Mountains, walk, birdwatch or just relax at this environmentally friendly, low-impact tented camp. Comfortable accommodation, great location and an excellent and varied cuisine.
The remote campsite is just gorgeous and if you're a fan of nature and hiking you'll enjoy the environment. The monkeys and the chameleons and various little critters were great fun. Factor in extra time for the hikes though - the maps provided to us by Emau Hill were not accurate. We stayed in an ensuite cottage. Some aspects of the accommodation could be improved. For example, though we were warmly welcomed and our room was clean, there was no toilet paper in the room (supplied upon request) or spare blankets and some of the decking outside the door was rotting. The 3 course meal which is part of full board was fine but on the basic side. The tea bags were wet and un-usuable. It's not that we didn't have a good time - we did - but comparable places we've stayed at have been half the price. I didn't feel like it was value for money. It was luxury prices for average accommodation. FYI the drive from Dar is more like 8 hours, not 6. Several signs are missing and google maps doesn't work so if you don't speak Swahili there's a bit of guess work involved. They're fixing the roads in the national park so some sections are better than others. We were glad we were in a 4WD.

My oh my, you will not be disappointed! Located in beautiful surroundings of a coffee plantation, Legendary Lodge has very spacious and well appointed rooms. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating, even offering to make us dinner after our late night arrival. Hats off to the chef, each meal was absolutely amazing, could make many major city restaurants envious. The coffee was the smoothest blend and out of this world delicious.

Started in 1994, Ndarakwai is a unique success story of land and wildlife rehabilitation, the first of its kind in Tanzania. With about 70 mammal species and over 350 bird species in a combination of high long grass plains, classic Acacia savannah, Commiphora thickets, and riparian habitats, a stay at Ndarakwai is a great addition to any safari itinerary. Ndarakwai Camp, with 14 large comfortable and individually decorated tents, is set at 4200 feet in the midst of an 11,000 acre privately-owned ranch in Siha District, West Kilimanjaro. Ndarakwai offers a high degree of personalized service, attention to detail, great food, as well as a wide variety of excellent wildlife related activities, cultural experiences, and excursions. What really sets us apart from National parks is our ability to offer half and full day walks with an experienced guide, as well as night game drives. These are two things you are not able to do in the parks. If it is birding on foot, or searching for nocturnal animals by spotlight, Ndarakwai is for you! Ndarakwai strives to be the best in luxury tented camping while maintaining the principles of responsible environmental stewardship. Extensive use of solar power (for electricity and hot water), the use of clay ovens for cooking, preference for local produce, combined with 11,000 protected acres of bush and woodland give confidence the camp is being established as carbon neutral.
Spent two nights here before heading out on a 10 day Kili Summit with Thompson Safaris. The Camp is amazing. You stay in large canvas tents that are equipped with a large bed, shower, toilet, and lights. its 95% bug proof, but you are in the sticks. They have a main dining are that served all three meals and they were all very good. Everything is laid back, but they still take good care of you. We took a jeep ride and a walking tour thru their 11,000 acres looking for wildlife which was awesome...so lots of animals. There are no sockets in the tents to power phones but you can change at the main dining area and they have free Wifi so it was all good. Would recommend

Four exclusive cottages on an organic spice farm only 20 minutes from Morogoro City Centre. Guests have the choice between self catering, half board and full board catering options.
Wonderful retreat just outside Morogoro. The bungalows are spacious and beautifully arranged. The big green lawn right on front is something we miss in Dar. We came here a few times with family and friends. Kids love the hikes and the animals, all in the safety of the vast farm. The highlight, however, is the food, with some of the best meals we’ve had in Tanzania.

Maweni Farm is an old colonial mountain retreat in serene environment above Soni in the West Usambara mountains. Maweni is an ideal base for hiking and cultural tourism in Lushoto and Bumbuli District, and a stop-over for travellers between the northern safari circuit and the coast. We organise guided hiking and biking tours all over the mountains on request, including areas less visited by tourists such as Mazumbai Forest, Vuga, homestay in villages.
The Maweni Farm is a very welcoming place located in the beautiful scenery of the Usambara mountains. As the house is from the former German colonial era it is especially charming and individual. Food is local, fresh, homemade and very delicious, especially the bread, cheese and the local coffee. The staff is best ever and very friendly and help everything you want come true. Lars, the owner, is of great knowledge about the area and likes to share it with his guests. When sitting together in the garden or at the cosy fireplace, he tells memorable anecdotes about Tanzanian culture and language. We strongly recommend the Maweni for friends, couples, families, and single travelers.
