Rural visit

A lovely serene bed and breakfast on a lake where you can swim or kayak. Good breakfasts, cosy rooms. 3 kms up a steep windy road from the nearest beaches, cafes, restaurants so feels remote. Good for a quiet getaway.

We stayed for a week and loved it

Beautiful restoration of a four century old farmhouse and outer buildings. Three charming sisters who run it together. Great homemade dinners. Comfortable bed. A remote and peaceful retreat while also being an easy drive to the highlights of Galicia.

Awesome location and house but no wifi

Reviewed By 996cintial

Super cool and pretty house and a very quiet location, ideal to relax. The rooms are squeaky clean. However there is no wifi and no tv in the room... So I don't recommend it unless you want to be fully disconnected. The breakfast is very poor- but the coffee is very tasty. Lovely pool and awesome propriety cat! We were allowed to check in early which was pretty convenient.

Costa da Egoa

Rural with an amazing host.

Reviewed By MidlandsRascal

We came by car rather than as peregrenos. Simple rural accomodation where your host, with simple English and a ready use of a language app, will ensure you have a good stay. Meals are provided as you wish, with Rocio changing the offering if you have any neededs/preferences. Meals here are not small plates. We did try the short walk along the stream that connects the mills, which actually flows through the grounds. Be warned, it is steep in places, very uneven and slippy. Boots and poles are recomended. I would certainly rebook if in the region . Of its type, I am happy to rate as 5.

Cozy and tranquil

Reviewed By cwarrenlaw

This casa is peaceful and lovely. It is located on a winding rural road and has a quiet stream burbling through the property. Our two story room was cozy and warm --- although it was raining and cloudy outside, a crackling fire burned in the stove inside. Good wifi and a nice breakfast. A good place for a deep night of sleep. Close to town, where you can find good seafood restaurants, so no need to eat here unless you prefer to.

A wonderful oasis on the Camino

Reviewed By fermanaghlainey

I was not expecting this place to be so good. I had changed plans on my walk on the Vis de la Plata and ended up at Casa de Casal. The room was simply beautiful and the bed was just so wonderfully comfortable. Patricia made me a wonderful dinner of fresh fish with vegetables from the garden and I had local red wine which was lovely. I had the most wonderful and needed rest that night and then had a fantastic breakfast, including home made jams, including quince, and little biscuits, cakes along with an array of cheeses, ham - everything! Such good value for money for a peregrina. I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Pazo de Sedor: Lovely Manor House but Disappointing Dining

Reviewed By ArtsyGalBaltimore

Lovely setting in the lush countryside of Galicia with a pool and a tennis court. Rooms are large with stonework and good insulation. Queen sized bed with comfortable bedding. Large deep shelving and plenty of luggage storage. Wifi very unreliable, basically requiring access in the hallway near the router or reception. Only two outlets fin the room for devices. The bathroom was modern with shower and tub. We spent three nights here during our Camino and ate dinner twice and breakfast three times. Overall, we found the food mediocre. Perhaps this manor house can be better appreciated for a short holiday stay, but after a long day on the camino I did not see its hotel amenities appreciated. There is a need for the owners to step up the dining experience.

Camino Haven

Reviewed By marguerym

Casa de Marcelo came recommended to us by Maria at Casa Loureiro. It was an amazing experience and a little bit of a haven from the Camino. After walking into the town of Padron, we were picked up by Manuel & taken to his glorious country home where it felt more like a spa than a stay on the Camino. The home & grounds are stunning and we were fed a feast!!! The next morning Manuel took us back to the town of Padrón feeling full and refreshed. As a bonus another Camino couple was also at the house and we enjoyed their company as well - would love to stay again! Thank you Manuel!
