From the moment you start to drive up towards "Magic Mountain" you know you are in for something truly special. The hotel is situated overlooking a valley in prime position with views across to the "Los picos de Europa " once you park and make your way to the reception you get the feeling you are walking in history, walking in such charming surroundings so quaint and detailed. Cobbled paving stones with imense rustic country beauty. Buildings constructed with exquisite traditional detail. Not over the top luxury but far better welcoming sincere warmth where simple pleasures are done so beautifully you feel the tranquilty from every stone, plant and timbered beam. The breakfast is so fresh and tasty you can't stop but eat, eat, and eat. The dinners done so well as they send you the menu via WhatsApp so you can choose the option you desire of starter and main course (I loved this!) I could wait to recieve the whatsapp! The food is so fresh as the produce is grown and harvested from the land and area. You truly can taste the quality. I took the option for a fireplace in my bedroom. And it could not have been cosier. The bed was extremely comfortable and the morning views to wake up to are out of this world. Well what can I say about the staff. Each and everyone made me feel so incredibly comfortable they all possessed such humble and sincere proffesionilsm that is so very rare to find. If its views, tranquility, breathtaking nature, mouthwatering food and incredible staff and service your after then book this place now and rediscover yourself. I cant wait to return.

This is deservedly a well-rated small rural hotel, and one local place we visited commented that the owner has been instrumental in helping sustainable tourism in the area. She was fantastic: very welcoming, served a great breakfast eaten family-style around the dining table, and made us very welcome during our stay. She also made some great recommendations for dinner in nearby villages and local places to visit. The building is beautiful- a stone and slate mountain house, with lovely central courtyard in which to sit and a cosy sitting room. Our room was really comfortable, spacious and with everything we needed and we had a great night´s sleep. We booked for its proximity to Muniellos, but it´s so much more than this; it would be a lovely place to stay for several days, and a good price at which to do so, and explore the beautiful valley of Narcea, which we´ve been to several times, but is always worth a visit. A highly recommended place to stay!

I just do not understand the good reviews this place has. Unless other rooms are completely different to the one we stayed in. The reception and bedroom stunk of smoke. We were on the ground floor and our bedroom window overlooked a main road which was literally no more than 1 metre away. This meant we hardly got any sleep with cars racing past our heads. There were hairs everywhere in the room - In the bed sheets, bath, sink and floor - really disgusting. The bathroom was very small. Then, when we wanted to check out at 7.30am to get to the lakes before 8.30 when the roads shut, the doors to the main house were locked with no staff to be found anywhere. I really don’t understand why this hotel has such rave reviews when it smelt so bad and was so dirty.

Villalén. is situated in a village in the Asturiana coast between Ribadesella (5 minutes) llanes (15 minutosi) Y los Picos de Europa (20 minutes) in the village there is a cove (beach delguadamia) a recreational area where you can watch the (youtube fools of Guadamía) also passes the Camino de Santiago
Located in quiet area, you can relax completely, forget your routine in big city, just enjoying moment listening voices of birds. There are a lot of really magnificent places to see and walk around. The house looks really beautiful, room is cosy, the bathroom is equipped by everything you need. And the hosts are just great, very welcoming, helpful! Everything is perfect!!!!

Stayed here in Sept. 2015. Hotel was locked up and owner only arrived after being being located by local barman. This time we were a group of 8 and once again only greeted by an old dog. No sign of owner. Located her once again through publican and once again she apologised saying she was expecting us tomorrow. No change from the story in 2015. Rooms are comfortable, WiFi works, Breakfast was excellent and the views superb. Parking secure and plentiful

Old house from the XIX century, remarked but maintained the original architecture. Sited by the beach.
I was fortunate to get a room despite a last minute booking during a busy time of the year. What struck me was how quiet the place was despite having other guests. Although the breakfast was simple, one special touch was that the milk (to accompany my coffee) came hot; I always find this a special touch. More importantly, the room was clean, functional and nicely done. The beach is a 15 minute walk away. This is a wonderful house and an ideal hideout or quiet getaway.

SEE, FEEL, BE Full of charming and unknown landscapes. Tierra del Agua is a garden of delights. Sin is found in our restaurant, where every bite is a taste explosion. A pleasure to the feelings, based on natural products from our own orchard. We have set the scenery in front of our apartments. 11 exclusive suites with an exquisite interior design and full of small details. A scape to the most adventurous, an approach to wild life or the best way to recharge one's batteries and recover personal balance in our spa.
Extremely disappointed with our stay: poor organization and services and very unprofessional staff. They gave us a room that was not the room that we agreed upon reservation. The room was claustrophobic, with almost no natural light nor views over the mountains. The place was not properly cleaned. Despite their mistake, the staff was not proactive in giving a solution and proved to be very unkind. No hot water in the mornings, no group activities as promised in the website, the list goes on and on. The surroundings are beautiful but this place is just not prepared to deliver a good service and does not give a fair representation of what the eco-tourism should be.

This hotel is run by a lovely young couple who work very hard to make their guests stay welcoming and relaxing. There is free, adequate, onsite parking. It is located in a very quiet area with a view of the mountain. The rooms are upstairs (no lift), but assistance with luggage is offered. There is more than one sitting area for guests to relax. Since we booked late, our room was at the very top of the building, small, but comfortable and provided everything we needed. Breakfast was very nice and served either indoors or out (your preference). There are restaurants not far from the hotel, but don't believe there are any within walking distance. You will definitely need a car to reach this location as it is not right in town. This is not far from Pico de Europa Parque. We would have loved to stay longer. The hosts have limited English but do their best to assist with information and if you make a little effort, communication is not a problem. We enjoyed our stay and would choose this location again.

This was our first night in Spain, and we were all very tired. The host was very friendly and welcoming, and the accommodation clean and comfortable. We chose not to have breakfast, so cannot comment on that.
