Shanghai is the cool, confident face of modern China, and its energy is infectious. Go to the Bund to watch ships on the river and marvel at the huge variety of architectural styles on display, or watch the crowds go by in People’s Square. Shoppers should make a beeline for the Fabric Market, where you can have a suit or dress tailor-made for you at bargain prices. At night, explore all manner of fashionable restaurants, bars and nightclubs, or just stroll through the city enjoying the spectacular neon lights.

Fish Inn Bund is a boutique hotel located 5 minutes walk from E. Nanjing Road, right at the center. 5 minutes walk to metro station, Fish Inn is just minutes away from most of Shanghai's highlight. It is renovated in 2011 to a fusioned hotel with Chinese traditional elements perfectly bounded into a building hidden in the ShiKuMen area, near SuZhou Creek and the Bund. Each room has its own decor to lighten your trip to Shanghai. Our staff warmly welcome you to Fish Inn Bund!
I have stayed at most of the Shanghai hostels over the years, and this is my new favorite hostel/small hotel in the downtown area. Only a couple of blocks north of Metro 2 Nanjing East station, exit 5. Just before Suzhou creek bridge. Only a few minutes walking distance to Nanjing pedestrian street, the Bund, etc. We stayed in a double bed room that was warm enough without turning on the room's heater even though it was pretty cold out.

Campanile Hotel Shanghai Bund The hotel is located near the Bund, where the local culture originated and also the first kerosene street lamp was set. It is ideal for a family holiday, week-end, or business trip in Shanghai. You can get access to the People's Square Station on Line 1 about 15 minutes by walk, to the East Nanjing Road Station on Line 2 about 12 minutes by walk, to the Dashijie Station on Line 8 about 8 minutes by walk and to the YuYuan Garden Station on Line 10 by walk about 8 minutes by walk. It takes about 50 minutes from the hotel to Hongqiao railway station and airport by Metro Line 2 or Line 10, and 80 minutes to Pudong Airport by Metro Line 2.
I spent a wonderful twelve nights at this hotel, a room overlooking the park on the top floor. The staff is always at your service and at a very high level of courtesy. All the little details that make a pleasant stay in such a hotel are available. Great position in the middle of Shanghai for day and evening tours. I definitely recommend it for those looking for affordable accommodation and real value for money. A small complaint about the internal noise, but it is still up to the behavior of individual guests. If I have another opportunity will not hesitate to book again this hotel.

Average would pretty much sum it up. It's not an awful place to stay, staff are friendly, our room was okay. The location is not great. Quite a walk to the subway station and there is not overly much to do in the immediate area. A coffee shop opposite and a couple of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, but not where you want to be ideally. But you get what you pay for, it does the job, wouldn't overly recommend it but wouldn't tell anyone to avoid it at all costs either.

You can find just about all your travelers' needs satisfied in this neighborhood: it's close to a subway stop on the best line for sightseeing, there's a China rail ticket service nearby, it's a short walk to the airport shuttle bus, and there are Western-style coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, convenience stores and ATMs all around this hotel. The hotel itself is clean, affordable and safe. Nothing 5-Star about it, but it is a welcome and comfortable place after a long journey. As with virtually all hotels in China, it REALLY helps if you know some Chinese!

Decent price and location. Wouldn't want to stay more than a night or so as room was very small and cramped. Staff also was not helpful when I tried to ask them what room number I was in when I came in late in the evening and my key card was not working and I could not remember what room number I was in.

Stayed here a couple of times, good for a short stay near the airport. The free shuttle is useful and easy to arrange. For 68RMB a simple buffet is available. Good value for money. Would probably stay here again if passing through.

Booked this hotel because of its quite good ratings on almost all booking sites, however, I really got disappointed... PROS: + There is no metro- or traffic-related noise (elevated road directly in front of the building) in the room (at least this was the case in our room, as it has no out-facing window) + Cheap rates CONS: - The room is so small that you can't open a normal sized suitcase - Everything in the hotel is old and really needs to be renovated - The room is really NOT clean at all, e.g. there is hair and other stuff sticking at the bathroom walls (don't want to know what that is exactly), brown-ish stains on the curtains, dirt sticking on the walls, the glass, leaking pipes in the bathroom and so on... - Something in the bathroom was leaking, so there was always water on the bathroom floor - The room has no out-facing window, therefore you can't get fresh air in. Light is coming from a roofed indoor corridor. - The bed is seriously hard and uncomfortable, might be because it's old. - The walls in the hotel are SOO thin. You can hear EVERYONE in the corridors and even from the room on the opposing side talking. As you may know, Chinese tend to talk loud and there is constantly someone in the corridor talking on the phone. In addition, our room was near the dining hall which was filled with people almost every day at lunch and at night with working people eating and holding conferences (very loud laughing and hand clapping) there. If you don't fall asleep easily, at least ask for a room as FAR away as possible. - The hotel position feels like far far away from civilization as there are no residents in the close neighboorhood. Therefore, there are non of the typical street shops such as dumpling shops or supermarkets, only a very small Family Mart on the other side of the building. - You get prostitute ads every other day slided through underneath the door. - And - maybe as a result of that and the walls being very thin - you hear your neighbors getting intimate. Just as annoying as screaming little kids. - As neither the door nor the window is really tight, any small from outside (cooking food or smoke) just comes into the room. - The hotel staff was not willing to call a taxi over on our departure. If I'd think about it, I could probably go on with the list for ages. But just to sum it up: I would never book this again and would never recommend anyone to book a stay here.
