Charming, home away from home atmosphere. The only motel in Ely with patio seating. We pride ourselves on cleanliness and courteous service to our customers. Great beds and linens. The motel is within walking distance of three restaurants. Free wi-fi and pets ok. In-room coffee.
This is a great little motel for a stop over. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Our room had new carpeting although the furniture is dated. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet. We definitely stay there again on our way to Seattle.

When in Austin NV you don't have a large selection of places to stay. This was referred to us by a relative which said it was clean and neat, but small. They were right about that. There was a queen bed and one small chair. The second person had to sit on the bed. The bathroom, however, was of decent size with a nice hot shower with good water pressure. This is at the base of a mountain and thus is at 6,700 feet altitude. The price was much higher that facilities that are much nicer but then again this is way out in the boonies and they have to drive a long way for supplies. They did have a nice guard cat.

This is not a Hampton Inn nor is it a roach motel. It is an average place that had a clean room and bathroom and a comfortable bed. I was on a motorcycle trip along the Pony Express so I didn't need any more than that. The furniture and carpets were warn and dated and needs replacement. The outside also needs maintenance but all in all it is an average place. The rooms price was a little high for the quality however, the other place in town was book and this place only had a couple rooms left and I didn't want to go any further.

for some dumb reason I reserved a room here. When I arrived it was scary dumpy and divey like the rooms were used only for short times. I couldn't drive away fast enough. Couldn't get a refund thru Expedia but the front desk guy would have refunded if he could have.

Checked in 8-28-21 at 2:28pm. I usually stay at the Hotel Nevada (great place!) but wanted to try something new. I'd driven 7 hours, Jailhouse Motel seemed likely ... until I found the check in counter. I was very tired and not feeling well. Two clerks were deeply involved in convo at one of the registers. Neither of them glanced at me for 6 minutes. Then both clerks came over, continuing their personal convo, this stretched into a 15 minute retelling of why one clerk's drawer was short. It was a long, detailed story that I didn't need to hear. I asked for a room for the night, one person, cash payment. Clerk stated "I forgot how to do a cash transaction." I guess that she also forgot to return my $25.xx that I had to return to their counter to retrieve. Waiting for the "staff" to take my money and give me a key, I clutched on the counter, almost vomiting on the floor, overcome with dizziness and thought, "I've never felt like this before ... I'm going to fall down." It's difficult to think those two gossipy women couldn't see this senior citizen having a crisis as their conversation went on and on ... I asked, "Ladies, I'm not feeling well could I please get checked in," and one of them snapped, "We're getting there ..." and their convo continued ... OMG. I've worked at a 4* hotel for 5 years and THIS is not how you behave! Help the guest first, take the money, process the transaction and Guest Be Gone to their room. The only person at the hotel who was pleasant (and earned a tip) was the maid, lovely lady, thank you for trying to salvage this horrible stay. As a side note, thank you to the kind man in Ely who got me going on the right road; to the man at a gas station who directed me to Radio Shack (yes, they still exist under independent ownership), the man at the Radio Shack (he is a Prince of charm and goodwill and even refused a tip when I offered after he didn't have the part I needed in stock ... a tip was offered because he went out of his way to assist and explain. I'd love to return to Ely, a treasure of a town, but the two women @ Jailhouse Motel completely soured me on my Ely experience. Can't recommend and HEY THANKS YOU TWO FRONT COUNTER CLERKS for what can only be a moral depravity in ignoring someone suffering. Clean room. Ample parking. Nice maid. Conveniently situated.

My hubby and I were here for an event at the Fallon Air Station and choices were limited. We were here 3 nights so decided to pay extra and upgrade to the king suite. Arrived to find bed sheets were ratty and full of hair (most egregious), the toilet didn't flush properly, the sleeper sofa had no mattress which made it impossible to even use it as a couch. Stains on the furniture and I won't even mention the nasty carpet (bring your flip flops!) Folks were nice and tried to address the issue. Hotel has pool, hot tub, tiny fitness room, laundry and breakfast bar. No daily housekeeping services. You will need to ask if you need more towels. Coffee was weak so I would suggest a trip down to the Stone Cabin Coffee shop. Was startled to life one morning by the fire alarm (which I guess that cannot control) but YIKES! Overall the location was good. Take away tips - if you have to stay here don't waste your money on the upgraded room. Everything here is dated. Bring house shoes to avoid the nasty carpet. Take the stairs to avoid the single shaky elevator the stairs are wide and accessible.

Motel 6 Fallon is located off US 95 at Sheckler Road. Restaurants and shopping are nearby. Fallon theatres and entertainment are within 1.5 miles. Churchill Beach is 14 miles. Enjoy our seasonal outdoor pool. Free WiFi available in all modern guestrooms.
As Motel 6 places go, this one was good. The rooms are dog-friendly and they have plenty of space to walk your pet. They don’t charge extra for pets either. The motel is located along a city street, not the casino-hotel row, so it is nice and quiet. Would stay here again.

Don't believe the pictures, they would have had to be taken years ago. The room we had, had a chair, bed, tv (with 8 channels, two of which weren't watchable do to the static) and a little widow heater/ac which couldn't keep the room at 70 degrees (it was 23 degrees outside). The shower leak water all over the bathroom floor and it smelled of mildew. We couldn't leave fast enough the next morning.

Stayed here while passing through late at night and leaving fairly early in the morning. Very basic motel that was the lowest price in town. No real complaints though - it met my needs for a quick stopover.

Where to start? It appeared that the homeless population stayed here and frequented the trash bin. A less than friendly check in clerk who was extremely difficult to understand. A large pile of filthy wet towels laying in the hallway getting to our room. The refrigerator had not been closed, so the freezer was frosted over. The towels were discolored and stained. The sheets had spots. There was something running down the wall under the sink area and near the toilet waste can. Crumbs in the microwave. Streaks on the mirror. Filthy molding. Crunchy and stained carpets. Two of the thinnest pillows we've ever seen in our lives. The table was scratched up and sticky. No shampoo. No coffee maker. No breakfast. Our Reno motels were full. If we'd had ANYWHERE else to go, we'd have left. We sprayed with lysol and slept in our clothes. To pay $65 for this dump was highway robbery!
