Cody, named for its legendary founder, Buffalo Bill Cody, remains as full of Old West adventure as it was during the days when Bill himself roamed Wyoming. Serving as the Eastern gateway to Yellowstone National Park, Cody is just a few miles away from pristine wilderness where actual buffalo can still be seen. The town attracts tourists and cowboys alike with reenactments of famous shoot-outs, restored frontier buildings and with the Cody Stampede, which the town hosts every July 4.

The Scout INN provides premier lodging in downtown Cody, Wyoming. Our rooms are spacious and practical, with many features including fresh flowers, office space, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee/tea station and much more! Free continental breakfast, coffee, and local newspapers in our office. Free parking spot with each room and within walking distance of restaurants, pubs, shopping, museums, and art galleries.
Booked on site after refusing the room at the Irma as the door to our room would not unlock, even after the staff tried 4 different keys. (One key finally worked but you had to jiggle it just right.) The Scout was great—clean, large rooms that appeared newly remodeled. Fresh flowers on the table. The toilet was a bit noisy but the room (117) was away from the street. Bed was comfortable, amenities included toothpaste, a large carafe of lemon water was conveniently available in the hallway, and it had a great location.

Hotel located at the east entrance to Yellowstone park. Facility has the "best Beds in the West." These beds are triple sheeted with very high thread count linens. Limited dog rooms, must call ahead.
Our rooms were clean and very comfortable, and quiet. The decor was cute, very western. Breakfast was satisfactory, the usual continental affair. We enjoyed our stay here, and would stay here again if we are ever back this way.

Stayed one night on our way to Yellowstone and throughly enjoyed our stay! Great hospitality, comfortable and clean rooms. Grandchildren loved the little indoor pool. Best coffee of any hotel/motel we’ve stayed in. Highly recommend stopping by!

We stayed one night in the campground and can certainly tell you that it was the WORST experience of our 10 day trip. The lady (owner) and her partner (the Manager) are beyond RUDE! The man especially should not be in the hospitality business as he has serious ANGER issues and needs medical help. The bathrooms were very dirty (literally potty on the floors and no one to clean) No toilet papers in the bathrooms. Dirty showers and the Water in the showers was cold. Seems like they are saving anywhere and everywhere that they can and when you go tell them and ask to provide services they kick you out of their camp grounds. This is the service you get by staying at Yellowstone Valley Inn. Worst! Worst! Worst place to stay.

Lovely hotel and a great price! We loved the furniture and it was clean and quiet. Plus it had the BEST shower curtain ever!!!! But….when we left this morning there was no-one to leave with the office was locked. No microwave, which we knew, no muffins in the lobby and yes, there was coffee and hot water for tea, it just wasn’t hot. I poured my tea down the sink. We would still recommend it, just because it was clean and quiet.

The room was fine. Updated and clean. The King bed was fairly new and comfortable for my wife, a big deal actually. The only issue we had was with the water temperature when taking our morning shower. It is darn near impossible to keep the temperature of the water in a range that one might consider comfortable. Just a smidge toward hot, you get super hot... go a but toward cold... and you get liquid ice.... If management can get better regulation on the water temp, this property would be exceptional. The "Free Breakfast" was minimal and be aware, you may have a neighbor sitting outside your unit smoking.
