Staff speaks fluent English and helped us a lot ! My family stayed here for 2 nights. Also, when we had any problems, they replied the emails quickly and gave us clear information. I really recommend Saik when you are coming to Kanazawa!!

From the warm welcome given to us when we arrived to the wonderful food served, Goyomon stood out as the highlight of our Japan trip. I came knowing exactly what we were getting into: the walls were thin, and we could hear our neighbour's snores. Our host barely knew Japanese. But again, this was all expected and what we were used to, so everything above and beyond was a good surprise! The village is absolutely lovely and quiet, perfect for an hour or two of exploration. I liked it much more than busy Shirakawago. Our meals were so satisfying and the tempura was probably the best I've ever had. Just be warned that the bus drops you off at the bus stop at the side of the road and from there, it was a steep 5-10 minute walk through what seemed to be the side of a cliff. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to navigate this path during winter when snow can reach inches deep.

We choose this place because it was in the old district. The accommodation is very good and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. It's a great area close to the tourist bus loop. Make sure you go to Kenrokuen Gardens early to enjoy without the crowds.

The room is super nice, very widely and clean; The owner also very friendly, you will feel comfortable to stay; the breakfast also pretty good. Unfortunately the location was not good at all, you need to drive 40 minutes to train station and probably 20 minutes to find a shop. However if you don't mind about this, it still a nice hotel.

We stayed here for 1 night during Golden Week and enjoyed it very much. We got the chance to discuss at length with the host and owner, and his wife, while eating their delicious cooked dinner (including local carp fish sashimi!) We learned a lot about the town, its history, its challenges and also enjoyed the setting itself. The room had a good size. Please, mind you, you are sleeping in a family house. You will have rolling thin doors, etc.

Service, room location (in a pinetreeclumb at the seashore) and the food are fantastic. And the food, ahhh the food!!! And that just at a middleprice. Himi is located on a peninsula at the other side of the Island from Tokyo. Train ends there. Stop before last. No foreigners. Quiet fishing village. When you are nearby, go there, you will not regret it.
