Nine of us stayed after a day at Glendhu Bike Park. Big spacious kitchen and dinning room. Two heat pumps and an open fire. Heaters in bedrooms if needed, beds so good to sleep on. Plenty of utensils in kitchen area. Wine glasses average. Heaps of parking and great out door area including tennis court. Two big fridges, two ovens , heaps of bench space and plenty of tables and chairs to sit and eat. Located close to town ( 10-15 min walk) and Lake. Good flow of water from showers. Lodge lovely and clean This is our 3-4th time we have stayed here, will always come back. Well worth trying the experience.

Stayed 1 night in Lake Wanaka Lodge. Positives: - Excellent location - Clean Room - Clean Premises - Friendly staff What could be improved: - Better internet Visitors coming to site are either in Wanaka to explore or transiting. They need good internet for either booking purpose or looking for places to eat/ things to do/ places to visit. Poor internet service makes this process extremely hard and frustrating.

Kind, Solo-traveller friendly & The Cleanest hostel you'll get..

Reviewed By daisyembury

Had the best hostel experience I have ever had in this hostel & found it a bit emotional leaving. The hostel is full of supportive staff, hard working cleaners and had a really shared-house environment. Travelling as a young, solo female, I often get quite nervous in hostel situations but It didn't take me an evening to get settled here. Both receptionists Hayley & Alex are friendly, attentive and kind, and Hayley supported me through a couple of clumbsy injuries with her first aiding skills. The cleaner Simone there is also super hardworking and gentle, constantly in conversation with the people in the Hostel. I will for sure be back here soon - but for anyone travelling solo I just couldn't recommend this place anymore!
