We are a Hotel with delightful, chill and relax ambiance in which you can rest after enjoying all the activities that Antigua Guatemala has to offer (Hiking, City Tours, Bars, etc.) Here we offer Private Rooms with private bathrooms, hot water 24/7, 32¨ LED TVs, high speed Wifi access in all the property and security boxes in each room. In Posada de San Carlos you will enjoy great food, a tropical garden and a huge terrace exclusively for our guest with an outstanding service willing to satisfy all your needs.
I have been staying in hotels in Guatemala for over 20 years. Posada San Carlos del Parque is a really wonderful, small, Guatemalan hotel. For the price, the hotel room was exceptional and the staff was always helpful. The location is excellent (just a block and a half from Central Park) and many restaurants to choose from within a 10-minute walk. I ate breakfast there each morning and it was excellent as well. The wifi there was very fast compared to most other hotels and locations in Guatemala.

Similar to another hotel of the same class that we stayed in Guatemala, this hotel has a huge mildew/humidity issue in the bathroom because of lack of air circulation -- the sole "window" in the bathroom was a passthrough opening high up on the wall connecting to the neighboring room's bathroom. All of the rooms have windows opening onto the shared courtyard/hallway. You can feel safe about leaving your windows open (no air conditioning and no overhead fan in he room) as there are vertical wooden bars in all of the windows, preventing someone coming into the room via the window. Unfortunately, this also means that if someone in the hallway or courtyard or front desk is talking you can listen to 100% of their conversation with great ease ... Even if your main goal is just to sleep. The staff is very pleasant and do their best to help you -- just don't ask them for opinions on trips or local sites: they will just quickly point you to their partner's tour company. The breakfast was very nice, although their coffee was terrible (this is Guatemala, I had expectations) and the orange juice is out of a box (or maybe Tang). We felt very safe in the hotel. It is a good location, just at the edge of where things start to look dodgy. Two grocery stores within a two minutes' walk, and a five minutes' walk from the main square and most of the sites. We would not come back to this hotel or recommend. There are many many other hotels of the same class in the area and would look for another one with the same price point.

Amazing viewpoint, super nice host. We stayed two night in this amazing place. We took the room with shared bathroom, it was just enough for us, everything works just fine. Clean, everywhere some plans and flowers :) We could have a breakfast on the terrace, which was really cool. You could have pancakes or local breakfast (eggs, beans (frijoles) and platanos.(fried bananas) Platanos are amazing :) Irving is super friendly and helped us with a lot of questions and organising our trip. Thanks a lot for such a warm welcome and help. The pick up from the airport in Guatemala was perfect, on time. The accomodation is little far from center so if you don't like walking too much choose something different . For us it was worth the walk, silence, no cars, just a birds singing and it's safe too. Definitely happy I choose Maison Bougainvillea

Eternal Primavera Hotel is a boutique hotel that represents a colony image, resulting in a natural look in all its expressions, based on a colonial design, representing the historical riches of Antigua Guatemala.
We changed our plans in touring Guatemala by car and decided to return to Antigua for one more day and night in this lovely city. We booked this hotel on booking.com. When we arrived, we were so impressed. I couldn't stop taking photographs of the lush greenery and flowering plants in the courthouse. Sections of the original structure on the site are exposed through glass floors, and our room incorporated original masonry. Walking out through the front portal, we were in the heart of Antigua, with cafes, restaurants and shops abounding, many hidden away in the courtyards in the center of every building. Of course, all the historic sites are within walking distance. The extremely reasonable room rate included a delicious breakfast as well as free parking in a secure, walled area down the street. The staff were friendly but unobtrusive. On a scale of 1-10, I would give this place an 11 or 12.

We stayed here for 2 nights as we needed a place with safe parking for our motorcycle, which is very difficult to find directly in Antigua. The place is very nice and clean, the owner a very nice lady with her family, all very friendly and helpful. The dinners we had here were fantastic, the treatment all around great. As they offer free transfer to Antigua and back there is no need to stay directly in Antigua. Here you have a lot more intimity.

It is a small hotel with nine rooms of one or two beds, all with private bathrooms. Each room has a name of a church of Antigua Guatemala, in representation of the distinctive on the city because of the arrival of the Catholic Church that molded Antigua spirit.
Stayed here a few nights while I visited Antigua and climbed Volcan Acatenango. The staff here really go out of their way to make your stay great which was very much appreciated. The room was excellent - clean and comfortable with reliable hot water. They have a terrace with fantastic views of Antigua as well. The breakfast was very good with a variety of choices. The location is perfect, right next to the Merced church and very close to the famous Catalina Arch. Wifi is in the lobby or on the terrace. The terrace has chairs and a sit down area to work if necessary. When catching my shuttle back to Guatemala City the young man at the front desk even carried my bag and guided me to the meeting point down the alley to catch my shuttle which was clearly over and above what he was supposed to do.

All rooms in Casa San Lázaro offer a private bathroom with spa shower, free Wi-fi connection, satellite TV with more than 50 local and international channels and a safe- deposite box. Some of the rooms include a terrace. The hotel provides attractive living areas with wood-burning fireplaces where you will be able to read your favorite book while enjoying a delicious local coffee.
We booked two guests into Casa San Lazaro based on previous Trip Advisor reviews, which appear to have not been accurate. Here is the review from one of our guests: GOOD STUFF: + Everyone there was nice and friendly + One night I asked if we could buy a soft drink of any kind. 'No' but the guy was willing to go to a store and get us something. + Substantial breakfast every day with either scrambled eggs or pancakes + Casa Lazaro's private airport shuttle (additional charge) between Guatemala City airport and Antigua was great. Same guy both ways. Good driver, efficient, clean car, courteous, on time. + Hotel staff was prompt to reply to email inquiries before our arrival NOT SO GOOD STUFF: - The hotel seemed to be partially closed and under construction and was not user friendly. At times we were the only guests. - We had requested a room at the back but we were assigned a room upstairs right above the noisy cobblestone highway. We had to have the windows open for some air to cool our room which meant tolerating the noise and fumes of nonstop traffic. - On two evenings I had to call for someone to work on the toilet to get it to flush. Yes, we followed the rules and did not put tissue in the toilet. - The basin water was barely a trickle. - Whenever we left, we surrendered our key and the door was locked behind us. We had to use the knocker on returning for someone to let us in. One night no one came - we knocked and knocked. Eventually a guy arrived from the street - he apologized, saying that he had to get tortillas. - We had to ask for drinking water. - One evening we arrived at our room and there was a very strong smell of varnish - the floor of the room next to ours was wet with varnish. The odor eventually dissipated.

I stayed at this place many years ago and found it to be be cheap but clean and comfortable. I should have known that things had changed by there being no reviews for 3 years. I arrived to the owner and his friends having a get together in the front of the hotel which now presents as more of a bar. They proceeded to drink and have a great ol’ time throughout the night leading to no sleep until after 2 a.m. due to the sound carrying (and even with the use of ear plugs). Adding to that was the discovery that the first of 2 beds that I chose to sleep in was dirty with hairs and who knows what else throughout. The sheets were threadbare, so thin and worn out you could spit through them. I was so angry and uncomfortable there that I left the following morning without a word and booked another hotel for the next 2 nights prepared to forgo the additional 2 nights I had already paid. The owner did not respond to the complaint that I made with Hotels.com so he got the full amount of what I paid despite his behaviour and the cleanliness issue (which I took both pictures and videos of should he deny). Finally, given the cost of this place note that there are many other options in Antigua that are less expensive, bigger (with you not having to turn your legs to sit on the toilet) and much cleaner. It’s a disgrace that owner can charge what he does when he has invested nothing into the hotel for years and years. Again, this was a good option 7 years ago when I stayed, but it is no longer, and after this terrible experience I would highly recommend travellers stay elsewhere.

The house is located in a private residential area on the slopes of the Agua Volcano in Antigua Guatemala. The residence is surrounded by communities that produce chocolate, typical sweets from the region, fruit liquor, delicious bakeries, craftsmen who mainly work with wood, silver and jade. At home my family lives on the first level. On the second level there are 5 private rooms. They share common areas, kitchen, dining room, garden, laundry, etc. Most of the guests are digital nomads who work at home and share time and friendship with the other guests and my family.
Lucia y Jorge are amazing. They are thoughtful and very caring. If you need anything they are more then happy to help I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Antigua Area. Lucia has really welcomed me to Guatemala. I honestly couldn't imagine me anywhere else. A+++++++!!!

Great little hotel located in a perfect spot to walk around Antigua. The staff are lovely. Clean rooms, hot showers, good wifi. Centrally located to food, markets and sights. Walking distance to the Cerro de la Cruz hike from the hotel. Locked front door and you’re given a key for 24/7 access.
