This lovely stone cottage (gite) is in an enviable position in the northern Ardeche mountains with spectacular views. It was a pleasure to sit in the hot tub and dine on the porch whilst admiring the garden and the mountains in the distance. Florence is so nice and does all she can to ensure a pleasant stay. She brought us the apero in the tub and cooked a fabulous dinner with local ingredients. And she provided 4 different types of home made jam for breakfast. It's an easy 2 hour drive from Lyon and once there convenient to access the Dolce Via biking/walking trail which is highly recommended.

Affordable yet stylish, functional en-suite rooms, located in the heart of Morzine. Choose from twin or triple rooms, or if you are on a budget, we also have shared 6 or 4 bed dormitory rooms. Every room features comfortable bed, en-suite bathrooms, and a continental breakfast. Hideout Hostel also features a welcoming bar and kitchen serving delicious home cooked healthy food.
Amazing food and drinks! Every plate we ordered was banging and the staff are super helpful and friendly. An awesome atmosphere at the bar and highly recommended! The vegetable gyozas and Nasi goreng were incredible, and they also have loads of drinks options to choose from. Great work guys and see you soon!

Complexe hôtelier de charme dans la forêt. Lodges de luxe suspendus sur pilotis. Chalets traditionnels. Location de salle, organisation événementiel
We had an absolutely fantastic time in the most spacious tree house. We also enjoyed champagne , and Fanta orange (our 11 year old daughter Skye ) in a lovely hot tub on the spacious decking. In the morning we were greeted with a tast breakfast delivered to our door by a special tree house fairy. We are already planning our next visit to this terrific house in the woods.

Delicious food. Extremely friendly and nice people. The owner made sure everything was going great and made us feel welcome. The bread is served right out of the oven and goes perfectly well with the delightful dishes served. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Chamonix Lodge is located a short distance from the centre of Chamonix, with a bus stop at the end of our road for those who don’t want to walk.
Mouldy ceiling in the shower. Only 2 showers for 30 guests. Took at least 1hr to and from the cable car for skiing. I wish I had spent properly on a hotel rather than staying in this mess. I wouldn't return or recommend. Indeed I left early for a hotel. 1*

We had a great stay with a group of friends, on our way to Nice by bicycle. The rooms were small but neat, the hosts were friendly (they even washed our clothes!) and the food was good! I would always recommend this place.

Basic, clean, friendly and quiet. Good value for a 2 star. Excellent budget place to stay if you've a rental car and flying in/out of Lyon and want to avoid the hassle of the city. Easy 20 min drive from the terminals in a really French small town. Private no-charge parking. No-charge Wifi works well.

Whether you’re staying for a night, a week, or a longer break, you’ll find a warm welcome at the Auberge de Salvagny. Located in the village of Sixt Fer à Cheval, on the doorstep of the Sixt Nature Reserve and close to Samoëns, our gîte is a stone's throw away from downhill and cross-country ski runs in the winter, and is on the GR5 walking trail across the Alps in summer. We have 15 bedrooms.
I stayed here during a hiking trip in the Alps. It's right off the GR5 long distance trail. Just be clear about what it is. It's a gite, not a hotel. The rooms are ultra simple - just a bed and some shelves. The toilets and showers are shared in the hallway. If you don't have a sleeping bag or sheet sac, you have to rent linens for a few euros. Dinner and breakfast are at precise times. It's clean, the people who run it are friendly, It was perfect for my needs, but just be clear about what sort of place this is - a sort of youth hostel for adults. It's in a beautiful valley, with great hiking. Dinner was good, my main complaint would be that breakfast was a bit skimpy.
