Stayed here only one night. The small guest house is well located off the square & around the corner from a bustling, Friday open air market. The beds were comfortable, shower hot with great pressure, wonderful hostess who made special, gluten-free bread and muffins for us. Breakfast was very substantial & all quite delicious. Wifi was a little slow but otherwise everything was wonderful.

Set in the charming village of Arbeca, La Placeta is a brand new boutique hotel converted from a 200-year-old house. There are eight stylish, air-conditioned rooms withspacious beds to ensure a good night's rest. It is suitable no matter if you want to enjoy outdoors activities ,such as mountain bike or hiking, or unwind of the diary routine.
We had a lovely, clean room with a great en suite, including a fantastic high-powered shower. When we left something behind in the room, the owner extremely kindly posted it on to us. We were very grateful!

We spent two days/one night in Motsonis visiting the castle and enjoying the countryside. However, we were extremely dissapointed by this hotel/restaurant. Hotel: Positive: Good location, the village is probably one of the prettiest in the region The room is relatively clean. Negatives: The room was part of the upper floor of a restored house. The walls aren't soundproof and we could hear our neighbours ( snoring, bathroom noises, chatting). The snoring was so loud and distracting that we couldn't sleep. The bed is terrible: it is very small, the matress and bed frame are of bad quality, the bed frame was very squeeky, and the linen and blankets are very used and not soft at all. No duvet or additional blankets. The bathroom is miserable, the towels are very used and there was no shampoo or shower gel. No tv in the room and the wifi is schetchy There is heating but it wasn't on (mid-april can be cold at night). Restaurant: Positives: Good value for money Negatives: Average quality The top floor is nice but you may be seated at the basement which isn't nice at all. Staff: Very rude and not customer oriented at all. We ended up leaving at 1:30am in the morning as it was impossible to sleep because of the noise/snoring coming from our neighbouring room. The reception was closed so we didn't have a chance to pay for our dinner and room so I sent an email explaining the problem and asking the hotel to send me an invoice and a bank account for the money transfer. In the morning I received a call from a very pissed off receptionist claiming that we tried to run away without paying for dinner amd speaking to me in an extremely aggressive and rude manner without even asking why. When I explained the situation she showed no understanding and blamed the other customer for snoring saying that there is nothing she can do about it and that we should have stayed until the morning to pay!! She very sarcastically asked me if a similar situation happened at a hairdressers and I wasn't happy with my haircut whether I would leave without paying to which I very politely replied that it has happened to me and that the hairdresser did her best to sort out the haircut. She was totally rude to me and moking me when I spelled out my email. She insisted on just passing a bank account over the phone and me transfering the outstanding balance rather than doing things the official way and sending us a receipt via email. She said it's a hassle sending an email and made up some excuse. I very rarely write bad reviews and I understand that such things happen but I am extremely dissapointed by how this was handled and the way I was treated. We had to drive for two hours in the middle of the night in order to get back home and on the top of that we were treated in the worst possible way. I don't recommend staying in this place ( at least if you are after a good nights sleep), it is worth visiting montsonis but there are better places for dinner and sleep nearby. If you stay there bring earplugs just in case.

Amazing food in a beautiful location. We spontaneously dropped by for lunch and found ourselves enjoying an 11 course gastronomic adventure of home cooked local cuisine. On the Saturday afternoon we dropped by - we didn’t understand or expect what was on offer. At 2pm lunch begins and everyone is treated to a multi-course set menu. Every course was fantastic - the ingredients very high quality and all well presented and executed. If you are in the region - book a visit.

This Albergue is located in the centre of Vall de Boi, in the small village of Barruera. It's right on the main highway that runs through Vall de Boi, but it's quite quiet, as there is limited traffic through the area. The village has a few restaurants, all within a couple of blocks. Parking is readily available on the street. There is also a small Romanesque church in the village (the church is only open in the mornings). This location is ideal for day trips by car to see the other villages and churches in Vall de Boi. They have a couple of buildings. Ours was across the street from the office. We had a room with a small balcony overlooking the main street. The room was comfortable, though a bit small and rustic. There was only 1 power outlet, and it was situated behind one of the pillows on the bed. So, this made it impossible to use at night. The balcony was above the area where people smoked, so fumes were an issue. Some of the villages in the Vall de Boi are quainter and more walkable.

This is the authentic experience. No other way to explain it. The hotel is situated in a small local village up in the mountainside. A very quiet and nice place. The hotel is an old restaurated building with only three hotel rooms, a common room and a kitchen. The inside is preserved and in an old style with some original furnishings. The room was high standard, and the bathroom modern. A very nice host met us there and showed us around and told us about the house, the village and the whole area. He even made us breakfast personally in the morning. Amazingly friendly and very good service! The fact that there was no internet also contributed to the authentic and relaxing experience it was. We were the only ones staying the night we were there, but I think with more people staying there the same time as you, it's a great way to get to know new people and hang out around the fireplace in the common room. I highly recommend this place, and I will definetly visit again sometime. Thanks for a great stay.

We just spent a weekend in this delightful guesthouse, where the friendly, highly attentive and ever-smiling owners can't do enough for you. The rooms are compact but comfortable, with good central heating (often a necessity in the mountains). The standard deal is demi-pension for 100 euros per couple. Breakfast is based on a selection of locally-sourced, non-industrial charcuterie (including some I'd never heard of), prize-winning cheeses and preserves form the ecological producer in the next village up the valley. Your evening meal cooked with great care and love by Toni is equally delicious using credible local suppliers. Mario, the co-proprietor in this 9-month old venture, seems to spend most of his time running up and down stairs at the service of his clients. Highly recommended for a weekend's walking/cycling/Nordic skiing.
