Good location, easy access to town centre and close to main road. Our bedroom was adequate and well equipped. Breakfast was OK, but service rather slow; it should not take 20 minutes to make a cup of tea. Overall though it was the unsmiling surly staff that lost the hotel one review star.

Very nice place ?!! Clean & fresh place and rooms ( awesome swan decoration with the towels on the bed ?as you can see in one of my pictures ) Small and cozy with good standard for a very good price ? OK breakfast included, thaistyle. A bit far from the citycenter but no problem with a car. They also have a good sized parkingspace. Highly recommende ?

Nice homely feel, with private room and private bathroom. Other options available at lower rates. Breakfast included, with made to order eggs, all you can eat. Nice rustic feel, and good location. A friendly bar just a short walk away. A good night market a 5 minute drive away. Good food, great prices. The owner is Thai but has others there to help with hospitality! The helpers were great, good advice on places to visit, and roads to choose.

This hotel is located about 2km away from the bus terminal, but is only a 20 minute walk from the old town. However, the most important consideration is that there are 2 Amonruk Hotels situated diagonally from each other in the same street : Amonruk 1 which is a budget motel costing 400 Baht a night without breakfast; and Amonruk 2 which is a classy hotel with breakfast at prices ranging from 590 to 2000 Baht. I stayed in Room 210 at Amonruk 1 which only has a Thai sign written on a purple background. It is more or less opposite the ptt petrol station. This hotel occupies 2 floors and is painted yellow with wooden room doors. There is a huge car park on the premises which is sufficient to accommodate all vehicles and the building is situated a little back from the road so that traffic noise is minimised somewhat. Despite this, I found there was quite a lot of noise to be heard the first night made by other guests and nearby dogs My room was on the second floor and was quite large with a fairly low double bed with a thin mattress and fairly hollow pillows. However, the main problem was that the bed was so rock hard that it was causing aches and pains in my lower back so that I was glad to get up again in the morning. The walls were painted a cream colour while the floors are tiled. The room came with two bedside tables, a long desk with shelves and drawers, a fridge, a large wardrobe with 3 clothes hangers, a TV with only Thai channels, pink curtains over the window which overlooks some trees and greenery, a telephone, a picture on the wall and a mirror above the desk. The aircon worked well, if noisily, but the WiFi had a tendency to cut out briefly. The aircon was needed the first night to drown out the noise made by other guests and their TVs or other electronic gadgets. The bathroom had tiled floors and walls, but did include a proper showering area. However, the bathroom door did not close as it was wider than the frame. 2 towels, toilet paper and some soap are provided. The water heater was Panasonic and worked very efficiently, but the water spray was disappointing. All in all, the location of this motel is fine if you have your own vehicle and there is a huge car park to keep it. However, the bed was one of the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on, the noise levels were sometimes problematic and the bathroom door did it close. I would probably avoid this motel in future

Set in the quiet countryside away from the city noise. Nice rooms, clean and tidy. Four room types to choose from. Prices from 350 baht to 700 baht. Food is available most of the time. Suggest you choose a concrete bungalow rather than a wooden one because they are better at keeping the bugs out.

In the two years I lived in Thailand, this was the hardest hotel to find there. We had to call for direction - my wife and I speak Thai, the staff did not speak English (I didn't expect them too) - and it ended up being farther outside the city than I initially thought but the surrounding area was lush and beautiful. A great spot for an overnight stop.

I arrived planning to stay 2 nights , 4 rooms for first night and 3 rooms for the second. After checking in , found out myself pool was closed . Never mentioned prior or after paying. Outside area is full of bird feathers and poo. Room is very dirty and dated. In my opinion, this place is overpriced. Usually it’s 3,400 upwards per Covid according to booking websites. Wouldn’t even pay 500 baht. Got a refund for the second night . Stayed the first , as family already unpacked and were tired from the journey. Rooms are in need of a deep clean, renovation and safety and health concerns removed. Example in photos ( towel hanger falling off wall, wood broken , nails hanging out of sitting chair , dirty seals and taps and doors in toilet. Poor views of the bin area. AC is very dirty and full of dust and remote and tv is severely dirty and full of dust) I told the reception , they sent someone in with a spray and cloth. Still not acceptable. In my own option, i wouldn’t stay here again. I would definitely advise anyone else to inspect the room and facilities before handing over money.

My partner and I stayed at Baanthep Antique Homestay for one night and wished we had stayed longer. The family/hosts are super sweet and kind. The house itself consists of several structures spread out over a beautiful garden. It is a beautiful space to spend time in. Our room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend to stay here for a unique Phrae/Thai experience.
