Wasn’t quite what I was expecting. The owners are trying to create an experience in Cunnamulla. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was huge. Some of our group experienced glamping, not for me though. The food was excellent given that they had to cater for a group of 26.

Pleasant older style Motel. Excellent pricing. Has Microwave and plates and cutlery and is a short walk toa pub around the corner which serves good meals. Only issue was the bathroom sink was low and I am not tall so it would be a problem for taller people.

After on and off the coach it is really nice to stay for two nights in a lovely clean room with a comfortable bed. The breakfast and dinner each day was excellent. Slightly off the main duty centre, so peaceful at night.

After a long days drive, we pulled in here with our caravan for the night. Pool was fantastically enjoyable and refreshing after almost 12 hours driving. Bar served wonderful refreshing drinks and good food. Atmosphere was great . Definitely on our agenda to stay next time we are going this way.

Absolutely loved our stay at the cabins After dusty days of traveling it was fabulous to arrive at a modern well presented cabin. It had everything we needed, comfy beds, kitchen and sitting room, good size bathroom and lovely verandah seating. The washing machine was a godsend to wash the dust from our clothes. Will definitely stay again.

Like most of the motels our travel agent selected for our tour group, this was a nice clean motel with a very comfy bed. I am a bit over having to lug my suitcase up a small flight of stairs. I know it was probably built prior to wheelie suitcases but a ramp would be handy. Breakfast and dinner were very good.

There are not a lot of accommodation options in town and this, fortunately is a sound option. Looks a bit run down from the outside but has a lot of pluses. Clean, basic rooms. Bed is comfortable enough and air conditioning is quiet. No restaurant but meals are cooked on site and delivered to rooms. A basic menu from which I ate in once and there were no complaints. I chose a seafood basket which was surprisingly satisfying. All of the seafood had come out of the freezer but it was properly cooked with the food not dripping in fat, and nice and crisp. My biggest complaint is that the rooms aren't especially sound proof and the young couple's "conversation" in the room next door was very loud and conversations of the workers heading off to their jobs at 5.00 a.m. could be heard as plain as day, so too their diesel engines warming up and warning beepers as they reversed.

Rooms are Spacious, Light and Airy and can accommodate singles or families. Reverse cycle air-conditioning and fans in each room. Beds are comfortable. Facilities are good and clean. Tea and Coffee Making, Toaster, Fridge and Microwave. Foxtel and Television. Rooms are quiet. Central Location, walk to shops, pubs, restaurants. Under cover parking for those on motorbikes.
The motel is dated, however, the room was spotlessly clean, bed comfortable and with microwave, fridge & kettle and use of a laundry for $4.00 we extended our stay from 2 to 3 days. Sharon, the manager, was extremely friendly and helpful and the motel was conveniently located in the centre of town but in a quiet spot. It's across the road from The Wagon Wheel Motel, Restaurant, can highly recommend a meal there.

The Augathella Motel & Caravan Park provides clean and modern accommodation, and powered van sites in spacious surrounds, to travellers to western Queensland, conveniently located on the main route between Brisbane and Darwin. Motel Reception is located at our adjacent BP Augathella Roadhouse.
We were in town with a group of friends over the Easter long weekend and were very happy with our stay at the Augathella Motel. The rooms are clean and well looked after, plenty of space, bed was comfy, good shower, A/C did the job - so all the essentials are covered off nicely. While it's on the highway it's set back from the road, I don't recall noticing any traffic noise at all. I also agree with a couple of other reviewers re it not looking especially appealing from the outside, but the rooms themselves are a pleasant surprise. Definitely an option I would happily recommend to anyone looking to spend a night or two in Augathella.
