Lamai Coconut Beach Resort recently experienced a renewal and is now seen in a new light. The former Bungalow Resort is offering a further selection of accommodation categories and is operated by a new management team. Regardless of how many stars our resort has, we provide our guests a 5 star service with excellent facilities such as 24 hours reception, Thai style lobby, reading corner, laundry service, baby sitting on request, 24 hours doctor on call and tour desk, car and motorbike rental. It boasts a sun terrace with new outdoor pool, a new outdoor beachfront restaurant, an indoor restaurant, a beach bar with daily happy hour, free wireless internet access throughout the hotel, a spacy free car park. Our all-day dining restaurant serves both Thai and Western dishes. The resort has a quiet location, yet is only a few steps away from shops, banks, restaurants and nightlife in the very center of Lamai.
Had 4 nights here, lovely spot, right on the beach and no rocks in the sea. The bungalows was very clean smelled very fresh and we had good nights sleep, staff friendly and spoke English, we would certainly come back if we were coming to Koh Samui, very quiet though not many tourist about any where in Lamai.

Very nice place. Calm and very clean. You will feel like home because the owners treat you as friends and it’s very familiar. Also highly recommended is the food - especially Thai dishes . Highly recommended! Thumbs up !!

We booked a room on booking.com and arrived to find the rooms were standard and it as.seen on the website. That said, the beds were comfortable and the bedroom and bathroom very clean. We had aircon and a fridge with water provided everyday and a balcony area outside our rooms, they were just a bit run down. There are two pools at the complex, so we had somewhere quiet to swim and we were only a few minutes walk from the beach. We were just off the main road through Lamai near all the shops, cafes and restaurants. There was a cafe/bar which did a nice breakfast for 100 Baht and cocktails for 70 Baht. So although I have given only 3 out of 5, I would recommend this resort.

We were not impressed with the customer service and differences between the rooms (and their price ranges) at this location. However, for an economy bungalow, the price is really good for a very cute little bungalow very close to the beach. The hotel has a private area for the beach that is not very crowded at all. We liked the room. We first stayed in a deluxe room and to us there was no difference except economy was a bit smaller but half the price. The internet actually worked better in the economy room than deluxe. The customer service wasn't great but all manageable. We recommend it for a well priced bungalow with air conditioning with private beach, just don't have very high expectations for other things!

Due to the splendid location, guests are not only certainly among the private area.
If you're looking for a quiet, out of the way place to unplug and unwind, this is the place for you! We recently stayed in a one bedroom villa for 9 nights and the experience was absolutely amazing. The rooms were kept clean and tidy. The Thai food and fruit at breakfast was outstanding. The transfers all around the island were very convenient, with more than reasonable pricing. If you're planning to travel anywhere, have a chat with Pakorn as he was able to arrange taxis for us at better than market prices. Our holiday was absolutely amazing and we can't wait to come back.

I stayed here for 10 days and really enjoyed the resort. The bed was very comfortable, the room size was good. The shower room had an open air area which was great to shower under the sky. The manager was very helpful and even took me to look for a taxi when I could not order one online! Ideally you should have transport for this resort as it's a few km away from town. The surroundings are beautiful, like being in a jungle and there is a swimming pool also.

The staff had no problem substituting our gluten free sauces to make a shrimp pad thai for our celiac daughter. Good smoothies, fresh coconut water, and a great view! Great ricks for the kids to climb.

We stayed there as a couple for 4 nights. What we liked: - Veronica (the hostess of the guest house) is a nice and helpful lady. She is open for contact and tries to help her guests when possible. E.g. she printed boarding passes for us. - There is also a very nice Swiss restaurant on the territory of the guesthouse (Veronica is Swiss herself). - Our room was cleaned at least 2 times during our 4 days stay (with caveats, see below). What we did not like: We stayed as a couple in a bungalow, which is the cheaper option in this guest house. We had stayed in similarly priced accommodations (300-450 baht per night) across all Thailand for the 2 weeks before staying at Flower Paradise, so we benchmark our expectations accordingly. Overall, the Flower Paradise bungalow offered the least satisfactory living experience of them all. The details are below. - The room is EXTREMELY small. 90% of it is occupied by the bed, leaving no space for walking or keeping the luggage. If two people enter the house simultaneously, it is by far easier is one of them goes straight to the bathroom, cause they cannot make their way to the bed together. An alternative is crawling onto the bed straight away, which is also not really comfortable as the bed in very high. Please see a picture attached. - As you might imagine, a fully wooden bungalow in a place of super high humidity smells horrible, cause the wood rots from inside. The smell does not go even if you open the windows. - As most guesthouses in Thailand, this one does not have a separate shower cabin, which is fine by itself. However, as the bathroom in this particular bungalow is very tiny, when you shower the water spills everywhere - all over the floor, on the walls, on the toilet sit, etc. Please see a picture to see the size of the bathroom. - The sink in this bathroom also floods onto the floor - its pipe is simply not connected to anything. It is totally disgusting. We haven't see anything like this anywhere. A picture of the floor caused by sink is attached. - The main room is very dark. It has two very week green-light lamps (by the way, a switcher for one of them is located very inconveniently in the further-most corner of the bed). - Again, thanks to the wooden walls and the humidity, small pieces of rotting wood fall from the walls and the ceiling everywhere, including into the bed. - Room cleaning did not include changing bed lining which went dirty and uncomfortable very quickly due to the room’s conditions. - There are anto-mosquito nets on the windows - however one of them is very loose and is only kept by sticky tape. Please see the pictures (both from inside and from outside of the room) to see that there is enough space for the mosquitoes to get inside. - Even regardless the anti-mosquito net, the house is full of small splits and cracks. Those welcome insects, snails and lizards. Snails also come from the big hole in the bathroom floor which is used to get rid of the water from the shower/sink. Please see photos of snails on the bathroom walls. - The bungalow’s location, while may seem attractive on the map, is actually not as good. It has access to a hardly swimmable part of the beach which is dirty and also dangerous due to the corals under you feet. For good beaches, you have to walk 25 minutes to the centre of Lamai, which is fine unless there have been rains - some of the puddles on the way are quite horrible. Also, the taxi drivers do not recognise the Flower Paradise name for some reason, although they know most Lamai accommodations. However, if you rent a bike or a car, the location stops being a problem. - The Wi-Fi connection inside the room is very unstable. 95% of the time our mobile devices could not connect at all. With a laptop it was about 50-50. As a final note, we were offered to upgrade to a better room (‘the apartments’) for doubling the price. However, we declined - and we believe that rightfully so. For those money-per-night, we found a very nice place for our last night on Lamai. E.g. that place had clean private beach with no one but the hotel guests, a swimming pool and sun loungers.

One of our most favourite resorts to stay in Samui! Lovely and clean room with the peaceful beach view and nice pool villa to enjoy. The location is perfect, easy to find. Their service is outstanding, we met the owners as well which are so lovely and kind. All staff works passionately, we did enjoy our staying here and would definitely come back if you travel to Samui next time!
