Avoid at all costs. Room was like a prison cell.
Reviewed By bobdevonThis resort is definitely not value for money. Room - The size of a UK prison cell. No Air Con. No balcony. No glasses. No Kettle. No cups. No tea or coffee. No hairdryer. One chair (basic plastic, very uncomfortable). The beds were like children's (very low and uncomfortable for adults). Walls were paper thin (every movement made by the occupants next door could be heard). Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. In order reduce the temperature to one which was comfortable for sleeping, the only window in the room had to be opened. This entered in to a noisy area immediately above the area bar. In addition, the sound from the nearby clubs and bars did not end until 02.00, so sleeping was very difficult. Overall this is the worst "hotel" I have ever stayed in. The area outside of the "hotel" is very nice with lots of great place to eat and drink. In addition, there are some nice beach and lakeside walks. Just do not stay in this accommodation!

Reviewed By Oded SLes Echasses is a great and unique choise where balance between luxury, cool and tranquillity. Cabin's architecture and design are amazing, The place is very quite and close to the beaches (15 min to Hossegor ) . Staff and owner were very welcoming and warm. Had great time , No dought will come back

A lovely, relaxing stay.
Reviewed By cathrpWe stayed at the Maison de Mezos for 3 nights, having booked four rooms to accommodate a family of 4 adults and 2 small children. The host, Coraline, was very helpful arranging the rooms so the children could be near parents and grand-parents but well away from uncles who were less implicated in childcare. We therefore had 3 rooms in the main house, 2 doubles and one parental suite and one double room in one of the garden's buildings. Beds are extremely comfortable, rooms are spacious with interesting decoration without undue quirkiness. Our bathrooms were also spacious and we appreciated the lovely 'Occitane' bath products. Coraline serves good home cooked food on demand and dinner on the terrace was delightful. The garden is well kept and interesting with a (fenced) pond, complete with grumpy duck, and swimming pool also fenced. There are plenty of sunbeds. The beach (Contis-plage) is 10 minutes away by car: clear water and white sand as far as the eye can see, it is stunning. Being the 14th of July it was very busy but we still managed to park. There is a small shack on the beach with a great atmosphere and serving lovely food. Calamares with wasabi mayonnaise recommended (although they possible could have been fried a bit harder). Overall an excellent stay and we are planning a return visit in the near future. Last point, not all bedrooms have a TV but it certainly didn't bother us as we were kept very busy between the pool, the beach and the wedding we were attending nearby. There is a large, inviting, sitting-room downstairs for guests which has a TV.

Reviewed By fmusse821456We had a top floor apartment with nice furniture. Security and lighting on the premises are very good. I wish the swimming pool would have been available earlier for a swim before breakfast - opening time 9.30 h does not leave much time for sightseeing or excursions on the same day.

A fantastic Holiday
Reviewed By SteveMunslowWe stayed at Les Embruns for a week this August. I have been holidaying in Mimizan for most of my life, but never at this location. Mimizan Plage has the most beautiful coast line and the town itself has a great atmosphere. The food is fantastic whether self catering or eating out. This was our first stay at Les Embruns, the host family are extremely warm and welcoming, our daughter cared and catered for as much as us. The room was very comfortable, with all we needed. My husband is a chef and the kitchen/ and bbque offered everything he needed. There are 2 toilets and this was never a disadvantage. All guests were introduced to each other and this created a nice family feel. We will return next summer.

Armagnac hospitality..... and B&B
Reviewed By AdbFMWell where do you start.....on a street corner in this quiet village stands a beautiful house dating from the mid 19th century which houses the B&B, gardens, pool and an Armagnac tasting cellar. Fred is the vigneron and pulled out a variety of Armagnac to taste and appreciate. This was followed by a wonderful dinner home cooked by Veronique and available on booking request. Rooms are large , comfortable, high ceilings give you that vintage feel. Great spot if you are looking for a spirited night stop!

Le Mas des Landes is between the Atlantic ocean and the Leon lake (6 km). It offers 2 housings for 4 and 6 people, with bathroom, kitchen, terrasse ans barbecue. A room for 2 persons is also available, with its own bathroom. All places have an air conditioner. The warmed swimming pool is open from May to September. Closest restaurants and shops are at 2km.
