Luxury fly-out fishing lodge in Bristol Bay region, Alaska. Food, flights, fishing gear all included.
I cannot begin to describe one of the most incredible trips and experiences I had at the Iliamna River Lodge! We had sockeye running coloring the rivers red with their backs. The bears were everywhere yet as our talented guides said, “they were fat and happy” with all their salmon feeding. We were able to see the bears walking the river outside our cabin. We fished alongside them in multiple tributaries. It was like we were in a nature channel documentary! Bald and Golden Eagles flew around us. Most everyday we took a small float plane to our fishing destination landing in small ponds on the tundra. We flew between blue glaciers. The sites took my breath away. And to pair all this with the incredible care we were given by the owners, guides, pilots, chef and staff made it a 5 STAR trip. If you are planning a trip in 2022, make it to the Iliamna River Lodge!!

The Farm Lodge is located in Port Alsworth, the headquarters for Lake Clark National Park and Preserve. Surrounded by active volcanoes, glaciers, mountains, waterfalls, snow-fed streams, tundra landscapes, and mountainous lakes, The Farm Lodge is an ideal base for experiencing Alaska’s most rugged, diverse, and breathtaking scenery. Bear and wildlife viewing, tours to Dick Preonekke's Twin Lakes cabin, catch-and-release fishing, hiking, and camping are some of the many activities we offer.
If I could give 10 stars for this place I would. It was absolutely amazing. It is family owned and they go above and beyond to make your stay so memorable. We went on all day float plane tour of the mountains and we landed on 3 beautiful lakes, where we enjoyed short hikes and lunch. The scenery was stunning. We also did a half day boat trip, which was great as well. The family cooks the food and it is more than wonderful. Had Breakfest and dinner in dining room where we met more of the family and other guests. Thanks to Caleb, Jeff, Jared, Asa, Mercy and Glen for all they did to make our stay so memorable. We will be talking about it for the rest of our lives!

First class lodge located on the south shores of Lake Iliamna. Access by float plane only.
We stayed at the Outpost which is a new addition to IBL. It's a house on the same lake as the lodge, but it has its own staff so you probably won't go to the lodge unless there's a reason. It's not fancy but it's clean and the location is amazing. There's also a sauna and a hot tub which were much appreciated at the end of a long day fishing. Brian picked us up in the float plane in Iliamna and that was the start of an incredible adventure. The staff is top notch - Dawn and Macy run the house and handle the meals which are incredible - and Schuler, John and Ray put us on the fish. Each day we boated or flew to a new and beautiful spot where we caught trout and salmon (and even a pike on a slow day). Guides are very knowledgeable and patient and we enjoyed getting to know them. Make sure you take anything you might need, including lots of layers for the changing weather, as this is a very remote location.

Chulitna Lodge - A historical landmark on the shores of Lake Clark National Park It is located 180 miles from the nearest road, with fly-in access only, across the lake from Port Alsworth on Lake Clark The remote flight through Lake Clark Pass is adventure enough. Then we get started. Boating, hiking, rafting, fishing, kayaking, climbing, plus excursions to other areas of Alaska, like Kenai and The Wrangell Mountains!!!
What made our trip to Chulitna Wilderness Lodge so wonderful? Location, location, location, and staff, staff, staff. We were immediately treated as one of the family with the staff -- eating together, hiking together, enjoying the incredible wild country of Lake Clark together. All of the staff are artists, practicing a diverse array of mediums, and it was an absolute joy to spend time with creative, fun, and energetic souls. Excellent fly fishing on the nearby Kijik River, and do not miss hiking the only two maintained trails in the park -- both are strenuous, but the views on a clear day are well worth the effort. The lodge itself has an interesting history, and the place just feels like an Alaska homestead. Accommodations are glamping -- more than enough creature comforts given its wilderness location. Oh -- and the food was outstanding. Byron, the New Orleans chef, rocked it.

Wildman Lake Lodge is a remote wilderness Alaska fishing lodge providing guided fishing trips on the pristine Alaska Peninsula for Salmon, Steelhead, Rainbow Trout and Arctic Char. Wildman Lake Lodge is Alaska's premiere sport fishing lodge. Before choosing an Alaska lodge, SIMPLY ASK, "how close is your nearest neighbor?" We are not located in a village or on a river with ANY other lodge.
The subject says it all!! This place was beyond amazing. The nearest neighbors literally are walruses about 8 miles away! In addition to that we saw an eagles nest, and spent the day overlooking a lake frequented by bears (stopped counting at about 20). We got to observe natural bear behavior in their natural habitat. Also went on boat rides in the river and tundra walks and beach walks along the Bering Sea. We also used the helicopter to get places and wildlife viewing (super fun!!!). The river passes right by the lodge and it has the clearest and purest water I have ever seen. There were 3 of us, myself, my husband and our adult son, so we had a duplex cabin - 2 rooms with a bathroom between them which was perfect. It was very comfortable, dark and toasty. The meals are delicious and very filling after a day of adventure. But the biggest feature is the serenity and peacefulness of the area - it is so quiet and relaxing, a great place to escape the stress and madness of our everyday lives. ....and did I mention we saw walruses and this is one of the few places in the world you can reliably do so??!!!

The Kvichak Lodge is located approximately 240 miles southwest of Anchorage in southwestern Alaska. The lodge is situated about one half mile from the mouth of Lake Iliamna on 12 acres adjoining the Kvichak River. The Kvichak Lodge can accommodate up to 12 people in private and semi-private rooms. The lodge offers the same comforts as your own home and has an Alaskan atmosphere with lots of room for socializing.
2021 was a great year at the Kvichak Lodge. Mike McDowell, the owner, his talented guides, and Mary the chef made for a tremendous fishing trip with my buddies. Mike's continual upgrading of the facility, the knowledge and hard work of the guides, arrival of the sockeye salmon in bunches ,and the scrumptious meals prepared by Mary made the trip fantastic. A big Thank You to Mike and his staff!

I don't usually write reviews but this trip was so outstanding that I thought I'd drop a quick note. This was my third trip to Alaska to fly fish and it was by far the best. It is my second stay at Valhalla. Our guides Jack and Eric had a thorough knowledge of the waters we fished, had us catching fish all day every day and let us fish. The fly outs were fantastic and Eric is a very capable pilot. He along with Jack's fishing expertise made for a great trip. Add Bruno, an excellent French chief, who made gourmet meals, and we were in Valhalla.

I am a returning guest of Chignik Bay Adventure Lodge that just returned home from our trip in mid July 2021. This is bar none the best Alaskan fishing experience you could ever hope for. The Rantz family and their guides welcome you with open arms and treat you like family from the moment they pick you up at the local airport. Until the end of a great week. The fishing, scenery, and local experiences are simply awesome. I am shocked that Rod C could make the accusations he/she made. I can tell you that I have witnessed the way the community loves John, Mary and the whole crew. They are a respected and welcomed part of this wonderful small community. Shame on you Rod C! Trust me that your time here will be a memorable life experience. Thank you Chignik Bay Adventures for another great Alaskan adventure! I hope to be fortunate enough to see you again next year. Now I am off to smoke a beautiful King Salmon filet for my family!

I wasn't sure what to expect upon our arrival in Port Alsworth on our way to the Alaskan bush for a grizzly hunt, but Jeelan and Seth Kroenke's River Wild Lodge exceeded all expectations. What a tremendous experience. I travel 100 plus days a year, and Jeelan puts Gordon Ramsey and his idiot wannabe chefs to shame. Seth built the lodge from the ground up, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are at home. Post-hunt I had the most enjoyable shower of my entire life. If you are looking for a great, once in a lifetime experience, make sure you spend at least one weekend at RIver Wild Lodge. Seth is also one of the BEST bush pilots in Alaska (all due respect to Alaska Wingmen series and Tony Lee)! He also is a friend for life! G. Benoist

They will make you want to come back, year after year. I can't wait to go again next year!!!
