On the banks of the Volga River, Kazan sits austerely, its cityscape a visual confection of architecture that somehow manages to be both playful and severe. No matter your spiritual inclination, you simply must visit the Temple of All Religions, a Technicolor cultural center built by artist Ildar Khanov. Though still a work in progress, the "temple" is a feast for the eyes—and the spirit.

Very nice small hotel in a nice location. Close to all key sightseeings. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was tiny, but clean and cozy. There was a refrigerator in the room, they also provided slippers and shampoo, but no tea/coffee. However, they have a cooler in the hall. The hotel is located in a historic wooden building with a small yard. Very nice. We liked it there.

Located roughly 4 Km away downtown, but the metro line and some bus / tram lines are accesible from the hotel to get to the Kremlin and other points of interest. Actually, it was easy to get to the hotel from the rail terminal using the metro. The area where the hotel is located is good, restaurants, mini and supermarkets near the hotel. I would like to highlight the friendly attitude of Svetlana and her colleague when I arrived to the hotel and during my stay; attention was diligent and swift. I got a room in second floor, where hall walls are nicely upholstered. The room was spacious and clean, so that I had a very good first impression. There were two single beds, and I could rest and sleep well. Hardly a noticeable noise at night, helping me to get a good sleep, even that one day at 2:30 am the sun had already appeared. The Wi-fi worked well in the room. A flat screen TV set with several channels available. Air conditioned worked fine, There also was a safe in the room, no minibar available. Bathroom: clean, spacious enough, towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer provided. Breakfast was not included in the fare, and I did not try it. I felt comfortable in this hotel, highlighting the good service and the size of the room.

The hotel is situated on the last floor of the building. Naturally, no elevator is provided. The biggest room with shower+WC costed 1000 RUR (35$ / 25€) per person per night. There are also smaller rooms twice as cheaper. You get a kettle for free. Open 24/7 & 20 minutes' walk from the central station and not far away from the Kremlin.

First of all The hotel is quite new, at the point we stayed there it was less than 6 months old. So, the room was freshly painted, the furniture was new. The drawback is that the hotel doesn't provide you with baby cribs but we solved the issue by booking a room for 3 adults. And also be ware that there is no elevator. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. This location is close to Baumana str but it is not quite noticeable at the moment as there is some construction going and the exit to Baumana str is closed by some gates. I think when the construction is over, the gates will be removed and pedestrians will be able to reach the hotel through Baumana str. Right now both - drivers and pedestrians enter from Profsoyuznsya str and it presupposes walking/driving down a steep hill
