Laid-back, low-profile Honduras is one of Central America's largely unknown tourist destinations. A recent proliferation of domestic flights has opened up the Bay Islands and the major cities of La Ceiba, Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula. Buses, taxis and dug-out canoes provide other transport options. The Maya city of Copan is a UNESCO-designated heritage site with a ball court, an Acropolis and a Hieroglyphic Stairway. Other sights include El Cusuco National Cloud Forest Park, home to quetzal birds.

Hello fellow Roatan lovers! We just returned home from our most amazing time in Roatan. My husband and I stayed at Seabreeze Inn for a little over three weeks and I cannot begin to say how much we loved the place, but I am going to try...First of all, the location at Half Moon Bay, right across the street from the beach, was perfect for quick access to the beach, snorkeling right off the beach, and all the wonderful restaurants in West End. The room itself was super comfortable, clean, and affordable for our extended stay. The staff is so accommodating and food at the Cannibal Cafe is delish. Also, the owner, Kevin, makes fresh pastries every morning the are superb. Speaking of the owner, Kevin and his girlfriend, Jessica, totally made our stay in Honduras. Both are super engaging with the guests and have vast knowledge of everything to do in Roatan. We went on a night snorkel with them that was an experience that my husband and I will never forget. Cannot recommend the night snorkel enough. You see an entire different underwater world and Kevin knows exactly where to go in the bay to see the most sea creatures. Kayaks are readily available as well. Furthermore, Kevin recommended and arranged for an adventure on the mainland out of La Ceiba with Omega Tours Eco Jungle Lodge & Adventure Company. The Lodge itself is a little piece of paradise. You can arrange all your activities, such as horseback riding and whitewater rafting through this company and will experience something you will never forget. Still reeling from this experience. We will most definitely be staying at Seabreeze Inn and The Eco Lodge again next year! Thank you to all the wonderful people at Seabreeze Inn and the Eco Lodge that made our stay absolutely magical and unforgettable.

We stayed at Vivaro Beachfront. It was amazing! Such a beautiful piece of paradise. Beyond gorgeous sunsets, private beach area, outdoor shower facilities, reefs within swimming distance, pier for the dive shop to pick us up and return us, also great for water taxi's. This home was perfect! Spacious and amazing outdoor seating, infinity pool, very well kept. We had dinners prepared by Jr.the pizza chef (best pizza ever) Chef Blackie and Chef Billy for our final night. The staff was amazing Girson took care of the grounds and pool everyday, he even cut coconuts done for us. We invited him for breakfast one morning and dinner on our last night. He is so kind. Marty was great for getting us from the airport to the grocery back to the airport, just a phone call away! We took a carryon suitcase full of supplies for the clinic and schools (I encourage every renter to do this) Tiffany took care of making sure the supplies got to where the needed to be. Our air went out in tge middle of the night and they had it fixed the next day!

The host toured us around the property personally, explaining everything from the flock of sheep to the hot (176f) springs to the super-fun zipline. The food was excellent, the soaking tubs delightful, the ambience relaxed and restorative. We hope to return.

Some one recommended this place and I made a trip from other town and arrived at night, I made a reserve 7 days prior my arrival but when I got there there was no reserve for me, no rooms left, did not get an option or solution to my problem, I had to drive around searching for another hotel. Really bad experience

Basic and older lodge in a beautiful setting, very close to pretty waterfalls and walking trails. The rooms are quite close to each other so not a place to be “alone with nature” unless you go during a slow time of year. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was good.

This is just close enough to West End that you can easily walk into town for lunches and a bit of shopping, but far enough that it's VERY quiet and removed from the crowd. If you are seeking a nice quiet place, with a nice pool and some great views, and a beach, this is a great fit for you. We were on the first floor and we did have one issue with the AC going out the first night, but they fixed it the next day. The hot water in the showers kept going from either too hot or too cold, but it was just a minor annoyance really. The kitchen had pots and pans and such and we made breakfasts every morning (eggs, fruit, etc). Laundry worked great too. We also enjoyed taking out the kayaks and mooring right on the reef and snorkeling around the reef. And we used Banana Nut Burger dive shop right next to us for 4 dives, including a night dive. It's also super easy to catch the water taxi if you want to go to West Bay for a day. Also a convenient walk to Luna Beach resort and restaurants right down the beach for some amazing dinners. You can beat the quiet and the views from this spot. If you want a more "resort" feel, this is not for you. But, if you want peace and quiet, you'll love it.

Rented the penthouse with a few friends while working as dive masters on the island. Easy walk to all the major dive shops in west end. Quiet and tucked off the road. It was such a nice place as Orr units became available most of our friends moved into them as well. Convenient, affordable, and much nicer than so many other places. I love the staff, they have a special place in my heart. I will stay here again when I’m back on the island.

Great place to be. The view is amazing over the bay of Trujillo and Trujillo. In the morning the sea is like a mirror. Nice people and good service. Sad that miss Brinkley is there anymore but it's still a lovely place with the mayan carvings. We will be back soon.
