The nine islands that make up the Azores are in fact the peaks of some of the world's tallest mountains, reaching from deep beneath the Atlantic. The once-uninhabited, volcanic archipelago now hosts thousands of tourists every year who flock to the islands for sun, sand and verdant mountain scenery. From the beaches of Praia da Vitoria to the bustling marina of Horta, to the bubbling volcanic ground "ovens" of Furnas, these islands offer unparalleled--and unusual--adventures to discover.

Stayed here for our first 3 nights I Sao Miguel. Very central location. Not a far walk to most of what you may want to see in Ponta Delgada. The rooms were large and clean, the common areas also very nice. Lovely pool area outside for swimming or a bit of chilling. We were provided with a wonderful little map of the island on our arrival. It became an invaluable tool for our entire stay. Our host 'Miguel' was also incredibly friendly and helpful.

Quinta do Espirito Santo is a cultural, historical, ecological and tourism project, based on a recently restored 18th century countryside manor house, classified as historic landmark since 2010, which embeds the aesthetic tastes, preferences and experiences of 5 family generations. We propose, in a calm, both erudite and relaxed setting, to share and enjoy with you the Atlantic, the Azores Islands and all the world stories that have come together in what was once a central hub of world communication.
During my 2-week trip around Portugal, Quinta do Espirito Santo is the most favorite. It is not only just a place for a stay but a place providing an authentic experience with the stories of Terceira Island. I stayed 2 memorable days here with Francisco -the owner who is also a very knowledgeable history teacher and museum director, and his wife, just like one of their family members. The manor itself (including the hotel's main buildings, subordinate houses, and a lovely tropical garden) is a mirror of the island's background, speaking to the maritime history and the special geographical position of this island. All the furniture and decorations have their own stories and histories. The host couple is very friendly, helpful, and talkative, and we always had very interesting talks. The rooms are very clean and atmosphere. This is a unique oasis of Terceira and Azores which makes a trip very unusual.

Stayed for 2 nights. Very clean, spacious and renewed recently. A lot of different rooms. There is a huge place to walk inside, but unfortunately due to the really bad weather I didn't check it out. WiFi was bad though usable. The host is funny and very entertaining. Free parking included inside the property. A must to chekc out.

We arrived pretty late with the ferry but we have been welcomed friendly and kindly. We have slept one night in shared rooms, two nights in privat double room. It's a perfect place to stay and visit the island. Everything is very clean, breakfast is basic but good and enought, common spaces are nice and confortable, swimming pool also very clean. Only two little things let me removing one point to the maximum: wi-fi that is not working everywhere and the noise from the road (but there is not much trafic on the night, if you sleep with the windows clised, no problem). The price, anyway, is cheap compared to the service you get.

The house has a very good location, we could reach everything by foot. The host lady cleaned both bed- and bathroom every day. We got fresh towels every day. But the bathroom is separate, no connection to the bathroom, we had to take the stairs. There is no kitchen we could use. The room is comfortable only for a few days stay.

This structure is located in front of the Airport and a noisy street. It isn't a place where you fan relax yourself.During the night It was very hot and we were obliged to "sleep"with the windows opened and we were disturbed by the card that passed and a lot of mosquitos! How can you say that is a comfortable place???The breakfast is poor.

When we walked into this upgraded room with a view, the view was the only good thing about it. The room was smelly, like paint or pesticide. The bed was extremely uncomfortable to the point where I could feel springs in my body. The pillows were terrible. The bathroom was simple which wasn't a problem. Paper thin walls, ceilings and floors gave us a great idea of what all our neighbours were doing 24/7. Unfortunately I was sick for a day and was stuck in the hotel or I wouldn't have noticed everything so much. Location wasn't bad, a short walk to pretty much everything. Staff was nice. Overall a poor experience, minus the view of Pico. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
