Its located in the midst of a kiwi garden facing the Kameng River. Dirang valley known for its picturesque landscape and when here the house makes you feel the mountains and its cold breeze eases away all your pressure. we further look forward to host our guests responsibly.
This homestay was probably my best property experience in terms of room size, amenities and view in Arunachal Pradesh. We stayed in the gold room. It was very spacious with a lovely bed, a designated sofa area with view of the mountains, a small balcony. The bathroom was just ok with a designated dressing corner too. the service was decent and the dinner was quite good. No complaints there. However, the complimentary breakfast is not good at all. There are no options to choose. They just gave puri sabzi and tea/coffee and that's all. No bread, no egg, no fruits, not juice, no cornflakes, NOTHING! Really strange! Another issue is that it is on the either side of river ie. on the other side of the main Dirang Town. So after evening, you cant even go for a walk in the town or check out shops etc. This side almost dies after sunset and there is nothing to do.

Guruji is wonderful host. His hospitality is unmatched. Rooms are good, you may hear mild noise from adjacent rooms sure to hilly wooden setup but that really didn't make much impact on our overall experience.

We had booked this place in 2019 but could not visit earlier due to disturbances in 2019 in Assam as well as COVID-19. We got the opportunity to visit Arunachal in the end-2021 and decided to stay here. The place is owned by Mr. Liduk and it is one of the best places to stay in Aalo. The main living Bungalow is about 300-400 meters from the main gate. The decors of the Homestay are tastefully done with lot of indoor plants everywhere. The room is very large one that can easily accommodate 3 persons. Due to its geographical location, we used this place more like a transit point on our visit to Menchuka. We really regret that we could not stay for a full day to enjoy the tranquility of the place. In Arunachal, for efficient travel plan, you need a very good driver who should possess excellent knowledge about the topography of the State and the road conditions. Our most trusted and highly reliable driver, Mr. Karun Roy (+918787614812), knew the place well and also knew about the road blocks at various places. His knowledge about the local tribes and the sub-tribes is exemplary like his driving skill. He runs a tourism youtube channel (Nomad on Wheels) giving guidance to travelers who are looking at visiting various places in Arunachal and that helped us quite a bit. He also knew Mr. Liduk well. The Homestay is located in a huge farmhouse owned by Mr. Liduk and surrounded by Orange and Kiwi gardens and fish ponds. Given a choice, people should spend 1-2 days in this serene environment for either mediation or reading or solitude. A few points should be kept in mind of the travelers. Shoes have to be taken out on the stairs before entering the main area of the Homestay and people eating Chapati or Roti may find it difficult as the said option is not available. The hosts are very nice and decent people who also helped us to prepare special meals for one of our family members as there were dietary restrictions. We stayed here for 2 nights on two different occasions as we mostly used the place as transit points while going to Menchuka and on our return. The time of travel is such that, travelers would reach here late in the evening after Sunset. The helping hands are also very decent and serve the required meals and tea and breakfast at requested times. They also served their traditional drink. We enjoyed our stay here.

It's a highly overrated place. The tariff 4000 plus tax is too exorbitant. As per the website no valet parking, no bonfire, the rooms are devoid of even basic amenities like proper side tables, room phone, bathroom taps not working , on calling the owner and even after waiting for an hour she didn't come. There was no cook and some helper was cooking the some limited dishes and the food was awfully horrible. No service. No proper restaurant and cutlery is provided on demand. The place is not even one star. The photos shown on website and description given is hoax. Not worth staying at all

It was amazing.... The food is great and the owners are very warm... We stayed for 5 days and it was extremely comfy and homely... There were dogs there as well, and it was fun to play around with them.

Well, Dirang Tourist Lodge has certainly gone past it’s supreme days. After changing of hands from a Government property to a private one a few years ago, now the Lodge is a mere survivor of the glorious yesteryears. Described below are the pros and cons : The Pros..... 1. The superb location , being located on a high ridge before entering the Dirang valley, away from the hustle and bustle of Dirang proper with Hotel Pemaling located just beside like a big brother. 2. They have four big rooms costing 1500 bucks including taxes per day each, located equally at the ground floor and 1st floor. The rooms are spacious with wooden finish and furnitures but need some renovations to say the least. 3.We went there during end January in peek winter with minimum temperatures of 4 to 5 degrees and our room at ground floor felt a bit cold and damp and had to opt for one room heater at an extra charge of 300 rupees per day.Getting regular hot water can be a problem with frequent and long power cuts although the attendants provided us hot water on request. Now the cons..... 1. Food served is very average with limited options and have to be ordered 2-3hrs. before due to lack of hotel attendants. Dining at the Pemaling may be a good option. 2.Only one night stay at the Lodge may be sufficient for local sightseeing purpose towards onward journey to Tawang. We opted for two nights there as we went to Arunachal specifically for birding and took the opportunity of visiting the high altitude Sela Pass,13000 ft. and returning by noon, located 50-60 kms away from Dirang. 3. Start your journey early in the morn, arriving from Assam,as for ours, there was a ongoing road shutdown from 12 pm to 5 pm every day for reconstruction of damaged roads near Bhalukpong and we had to face lots of difficulties as we reached Dirang by 8pm at night via a long detour with poor road conditions.Try to avoid coming from Tezpur or Nameri of Assam and you will be better served to take the well maintained highway from Guwahati Airport. In conclusion it would be wise to say that Dirang Tourist Lodge can be your second best option for a night’s sojourn after Hotel Pemaling, with spacious rooms available at a very affordable price enroute your visit to the Land of The Rising Sun,Arunachal Pradesh.

A homely and affordable hotel in Tawang, located in the main market and nearest to taxi stand.
A well located hotel with clean & spacious rooms, food is good but one should not expect much variety, best part is the courteous staff, unlimited availability of hot water & comfortable beds, overall a true value for money but hotel needs to improve on basic amenities like toiletries, towels & room heater

First of all about the road to Yinkiong... There are two roads..one via Mariang and the other via Boleng-Pangin..take the first one normally, but totally avoid avoid avoid it if its raining (i did that mistake)... Well about Yinkiong, its beauty at its best. You can just sit and sit and get lost in this beautiful little town Major Attractions: The hanging Adi suspension bridge.. Nearby Attractions: Try Tuting (beautiful monastries). Try Singga, Gelling if your pumped up and full of adrenaline (its a 40 km trek).. About the Circuit House: Nothing to write home about, but over all a clean place with helpful staff

Only one suite room to avail, which is spacious, others are small rooms, nothing like a "palace", as the name suggests. For all rooms one has to climb steps up to the 2nd floor. Obviously, lift not expected. Food can be served in rooms, but there is a good dining room on the 3rd floor, which will require further climbing the steps. Food served is good and fresh, particularly the fresh local river fish from the Syiang River. The market is close by and every thing is available just below the hotel. The Donyi Polo temple of the Sun and Moon gods, is also close by (walking distance). Room booking in advance would be a good idea, as it seems to be a popular place for halt, even for the locals on business. Contact phones :9436638196 03783222838. One can rest well on a difficult route to Mechuka.
