This refugio is simply charming, starting with the super-friendly and helpful staff (Elena), a variety of room options, and great food. We had a room for 4 persons with private shower and toilet, and it was great. We also upgraded dinner to the T-bone steaks, which were superb, and a great salad for a starter. As a veteran of refugios - this one is highly recommended

The Castle of Añón is a Medieval Build of the 12th century with the comforts of the 21st century. It maintains its medieval structure, with 9 double rooms and 2 suites for 4 and 6 people respectively. It is located in a paradisiacal place, in the Natural Park of the Moncayo, to 1 hour of Saragossa, 3 of Madrid and Bilbao and 4 of Barcelona. The Castle is attended by a couple, Susana and Curro, who love to be hosts and try to be kind and friendly. If you are looking for peace, good food, wild nature and an environment full of surprising places and monuments, you have found your place.
Curro is a fantastic host, providing us with a great breakfast, a guided tour of the castle and some recommendations. The room was cozy - a 12th century castle room with en suite facilities! Plenty to see and do in the area: a local monastery and wine museum is a good half day activity. Very exciting for our 10 year old to stay in a real castle.

We stayed in Matarrana at Casa del Rei for 4 nights in September, on a last minute decision to outrun the rain in the South of France (!). The website and description are nothing short of what you can expect: we were welcomed very warmly, given a guided tour of the house and shown our room with private and covered outside space. There is a wonderfully refreshing clean swimming pool, the rooms are impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. The next good surprise was the wonderful food l cooked by Marina and the incredibly smiling staff. I had the best pork tenderloin I ever tasted (and I like my food!), everything is home-made from fresh local (even own garden) produce, and in 3 meals we never ate the same dish twice. Breakfast is everything you may like and ask for and I saw fantastic picnics packed for guests. The house is a great place to discover the secrets of Matarrana, a wonderful place if you like history and nature (and not many people). Thank you all!

This hotel is like an oasis in a depopulated area. The surroundings is so wilde, wonderfull, spectacular and peacefull. Good start to walk on the camino GR 15 and reach the huge and magnificent Anisclo canyon.

Nos esperabamos un hotel de malamuerte pero ha sido una experiencia muy agradable, habitaciones cómodas en sitio tranquilo, lo mejor restaurante, raciones abundantes y deliciosas. Muy buen sitio para comer.

Travelling throughout Spanish North we had a stopover and spent one night in this Hotel Mirador de las Grullas. It was short but amazing experience. After we had visited Mallos de Riglos we came to this accommodation to sleep over and to rest. We were so happy we made such a decision. The place is like an oasis in the middle of nothing. There are couple of small stone houses arranged so nicely in the rural authentic style. The patio and the garden are also very very nice. Lots of things are made of stone and it reminds me a bit of Flinstones..which is so nice.:) Interior is beautiful, a bed big and comfortable. Bathroom is all in stone. When you take a shower you feel you are in a kind of a cave. The host was very nice, helpful, kind and hospitable. They prepared us delicious domestic dinner which we had arranged in advance. Breakfast was ok...but a bit disappointing in the sense of quantity. After breakfast we felt a bit peckish. But it does not make the whole impression any worse. All in all we were happy and pleased we stayed there and it is a special place hardly to forget.

We arrived on an unexpectedly busy Saturday night when many better rated hotels were full. Lucky for us. Casa de Oria and host, Carmen, exceeded our expectations. The Casa is a bit vertical with about two rooms on each floor. All the rooms we saw were simple, clean and sweet. Zero concerns anywhere. From what I could see walking the rest of the village, a bit up the street from the Casa de Oria, this is one if the best places to stay.

We were driving from Dieppe to Javea (I know mad) and we didn’t make it too exhausted so booked this at 8pm, turned out to be a great idea...the owner was so friendly, the rooms modern and clean, dinner was fantastic...no complaints here...highly recommend
