Tokyo is the epitome of frenetic energy and jam-packed cosmopolitan culture—it’s populated by 12.5 million people. Still, it’s one of the safest cities in the world, ensuring a (nearly) carefree stay packed with pulsing nightlife, succulent cuisine and endless city experiences. Four national museums, gorgeous gardens and parks, Michelin-starred restaurants, and kooky-chic street fashions are only part of what makes Tokyo so unique. Don’t miss the Tokyo National Museum of Modern Art, the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden and the Gwen Stefani-lauded neighborhood of Harajuku.

Brand new Business Hotel. Each room features TV, air conditioner, and wireless LAN. Kitchenette is available on every floor as well as a full kitchen on the ground floor where free coffee and tea are offered. Coin laundry and dryer is also available. No curfew.
Came here by a package deal. Because I was travelling solo they put on a floor where is only for Ladies. The place is very simple. My room was tiny, but then again I barely spent any time there and the bed was comfy. It was interesting that my pillow had a kind plastic beads or small pieces of plastic straws, instead of what I am normally used to. The room offered as well a tv, small fridge and slippers. The bathroom's are clean and the showers have like timers on the faucet.... after awhile it stops and you have to press the faucet again to keep the water going. There is a common kitchen and living room, if you want to cook and eat your food. They offer free coffee and tea and shared area, but not in the rooms (at least not in mine). There is as well vending machines for drinks. Besides all that, the staff were super friendly. I had a fun interesting chat with an older lady when I checked-in (even though I was soaked wet to my bones). She was so kind and nice that I didn't even cared that I was soaked. She helped me navigate through the transportation, different connecting lines, location and she gave me her honest opinion about some locations. We even shared the same love for fireworks and tradition culture. I loved chatting with her and was really happy to see her before I left Tokyo. Overall is a nice place to sleep, specially because you will probably spend very little time there and there is a possibility to see from far away Mouth Fiji if the are no clouds.

Hotel check In is 3pm , no movement on the time as they won’t have the room ready on time beforehand. Even if you ask nicely. Hotel has a small reception area and not much room . so you will find yourself waiting with other guests in busy periods at check in time. Our room smelt like cigarette, even though on the hotel listing says smoking permitted. I didn’t understand this ... as most hotels say smoking room or non smoking room. The walls had coffee splashed on them which was bizarre and I’m not sure why the cleaner did not spot this . Also the carpet is very dirty and also the dark brown color hides the hair on the carpet . I was scared to put my feet on the floor before going to bed , made me cringe. The duvet cover is a dark blue and is not like a usual hotel bed cover. It was full of white marks and also dusty. I don’t know how these issues can be overlooked by the staff. Bathroom is very small and you can barely comfortably use the bath or the sink area without banging your arm or body on something. Television has nothing English, only Japanese channels. Wardrobe is very small for only one night usage. Good thing is that they give you complimentary skin care kits on arrival which is a nice touch . I had not many options during golden week in Japan. So had to book this . Don’t think I would stay here again. He location is the only good thing about this hotel. They are lacking basic cleanliness and should at least spot dirt in the rooms before handing to guests. But the amenities is good and also the location.

The bed was very hard and I could feel the springs, so I folded the duvet in half, slept on one half and had the other half over me My room overlooked four busy roads, three of them overpasses right under my window so could be extremely noisy It's very handy for airport buses, as the terminal is just across the road. There are lots of shops and restaurants in the area If you don't put, the clean my room sign on the door, they don't go in, so if you want clean towels and coffee for the morning you have to pick them up from reception Not a bad place to stay before or after a flight

If I could give -100000 stars I would. Felt like I was in a horror movie. Will have nightmares about this place. The worst building I have set foot in in my life. I actually felt petrified. Rust-filled bathroom. No proper fire escape. Fallen-apart furniture as decor. Paint peeling everywhere. Is this a warehouse?? Not only that, when requesting to shorten our stay here to a single night after seeing the unliveable conditions, they refused to refund the stay at all for the remaining nights even when told the health and safety concerns we had about staying here. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GROSS NIGHTMARE OF A PLACE. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND BOOK ANYTHING ELSE.

Hotel
I don't see how you could find fault with this hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and everyone I came across had perfect English. The location is excellent; less than a five minute walk to Shin Okubo on the Yamanote (loop) line, and amidst all of the great Korea Town restaurants and shops. The room itself was very large, and had all necessary amenities plus some nice extras which you don't always see now, like mouthwash, and a refrigerator. The shikibuton (Japanese mattress/futon) was super comfortable and I slept really well. I didn't use the communal facilities like the laundry and kitchen but those could be a great asset for many travellers. I can't believe they aren't charging more for this place!

Very nice and clean room. Everything’s working as it should. Friendly service and very helpful. No hesitation to come back here again. Location very good close train station Shinjuku 6 minutes walk. Very lively vibrant shops and foods stores and restaurants everywhere. Almost everything’s at your fingertips.

When my friend and I decided to extend another day in Tokyo, we booked our stay at The Best Hotel. This is situated at the Korean Village, and is very close to the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku. However, this place is very quiet. We were given a room at the ground floor, which was very convenient for us since we had to check out at 6am. Desperately looking for a place to print our new e-tickets, we requested the concierge to assist us. There was suplosed to be a charge but the gentleman said it was fine and did not accept the payment. This hotel can accept your luggage before your checkin time in order for you to enjoy the city. Since checkin time is at 1600 hours, we would highly suggest that you plan your itinerary in order to maximize your holiday tours. The place has a vending machine outside. It is also a few meters away from Hotel Gracery where you can spot Godzilla. We realized how good and convenient the location is during the evening. The price is so good considering its area. The staff are all very polite and are very accommodating. If given a chance to return and stay in Shinjuku, I would definitely put this in my top list of places to stay.

My first review was somehow missing? Well I am just very disappointed with this hotel, I will write my full review again, and probably save it in cause it goes missing again. Stayed in the hotel during July 2016 for over 4 nights, this is the first time I stayed in this hotel group in Japan. The location was okay if you going around that particular area, but besides Tokyo Skytree, its more of a residential area, so don't expect too much night life. But before you check in, you must ask yourself if your Japanese is good enough. Also, if you could sleep with constant noises coming from the air condition. If your answer to either one of the above question is no, then I would strongly suggest you to stay away from this hotel. First of all, I am very familiar with small hotel in Tokyo, also never expect any view from the hotel room. The room was 10m2, but their clever design made the room seems bigger than the stated size. But that's the only plus of this hotel. The reception desk was so tiny and there're only one person on desk at all time, and over half of the time of my stay, the person on desk speaks no English at all! That was not a problem if there is not issue or problem. But that proved a big issue for my stay, the lack of any English knowledge made communicating extremely difficult. At the check in, the room seems fine - new and clean. But problem started at around 11pm on the first night. During shower, I started to hear some water dripping noise on top of the toilet. I waited for about 20 mins after shower to make sure it was not just a problem of the shower room. However the noises continued, so I headed down to the reception to seek help. At that time the reception have already checked out, and only a night guard is available. The night guard speaks very fluent English, and quickly acknowledged the problem was due to air conditioner, but as the engineer have already left for the day, there was nothing he can do. When ask for change of room, he refused and said the hotel was fully booked that night. I tried to switch off the air conditioner for over 30 minutes but the sounds continued. So I have to stuck in the room whole night, trying to some sleep with the constant water dripping noise, which is extremely unpleasant after my red-eye flight and long day of activities. Mind you, the sounds echoes thru the small cubical, making it extremely difficult to ignore, even with the TV turned on to high volume. The only windows was facing directly to another window on the next building - I can literally open the windows on the other building, so ventilation was extremely poor and I have no option other than keeping the air con on. (of course unless if you have the option to keep the door opened!) Next morning I went down to reception at about 10am and found no one on the desk. Waited for 20 mins and I gave up and head out, returning to hotel @ 3pm which I think someone will be available as the check in time starts. Returning to hotel @ 3:30pm, the reception acknowledged the problem and ask me to stay in the room and wait for the engineer to come and check it. I was very frustrated after a sleepless night, I try to arrange a specific time instead of just stay in the room waiting. The lady, who speaks no English at all, just keeps asking me to wait in room. After several attempts, I just request directly for a change of room which she refused, even with the hotel over half empty. After over 30 mins of trying and many attempts with use of google translate, I gave up. The 'engineer' finally came about 2 hours later. The 'engineer' (more like a manager?) came in, open the hatch inside the toilet and fiddle with something above the panel, and the noise disappear. Then he apologies and explained it was due to the air conditioner water drainage pipe went lose, and all the room inside the hotel are designed the same way so it might happen again even if I get a room change. I wondered if it is such an easy fix, why they don't teach and authorized the other receptionist and even night guard to immediately act on it, instead of asking the client to withstand the noise and wait in the room for the 2 hours waiting? Exhausted and frustrated, at the time I am just glad the issue is solved and not want to further drill on the issue. The good quiet night only lasted for 2 nights, during the middle of the 4th night, the noises comes back again. I immediately checked out and moved to a new hotel for good. During the stay, I have sent email to the agent and hotel requesting for help, but received no reply. I understand this could happen to any hotel, but the way they handle it is so unprofessional. I have black-listed this hotel group for good.

Good: friendly, helpful staff. Airline lost my luggage, the hotel staff were excellent go-betweens sorting it out and getting me reunited with my suitcases! Room small but clean, shared toilets/sinks on each floor old but clean (be aware, the sinks are in the corridor so people passing can see you cleaning your teeth etc but there is a long robe provided in each room so don't worry about not being 'decent'). Two showers on ground floor well-maintained & clean, good water pressure & lots of hot water. The hotel was full when I stayed but I never had to wait for the shower! Also a big, hot tub bath for communal use, although men & women have separate times. I did not use it, but I had a look and it looked very inviting! There is a hot/cold water machine on each floor, but no tea/coffee etc provided so if you want some ensure you bring a small supply. There is a vending machine with a small variety of soft drinks and beers. The bedding was traditional mattress on tatami mats, and this can be very hard/uncomfortable if you have any body issues. I stayed approx 12 days and did not have a problem sleeping. The AC unit is for hot and cold air, and despite snowy conditions during my time there, I was never cold in the room as the AC heated it well enough. There is also a TV and a small fridge in the room and a communal microwave on the ground floor. I used Minami Senji station (Hibaya metro line and also JR line) and it takes about 10 minutes to walk from there to the hotel if you walk at a brisk pace. Taxi from the station to the hotel cost 490 yen every time. Show the taxi driver the address in Japanese, they all seem to know how to get there. There is a launderette approx halfway between the station and the hotel. If you leave your key at reception each day when you go out, someone will clean your room & change bedding etc. There are plenty of convenience stores between the hotel and the station (7-11 etc) and a nice little supermarket literally 30 seconds walk away with a lot of delicious fresh foods. There is also a wonderful supermarket at Minamii Senju station with a variety of fresh foods if you just wanted to grab something and take it back to the hotel. The front door is locked and reception unstaffed between something like midnight and 7am, but there is an electric lock to get in and out, they provide you with the code when you check in. There is a also a lift to all floors. My one issue: the rooms are non-smoking, but smoking is allowed in the corridors. Unfortunately, the smell comes into your room. To be honest, this only happened on a couple of occasions, but it is still unpleasant. All in all, it's cheap and basic, but if ideal for somewhere you just want to use as a base. I would definitely stay there again.
