Imagine a place as uplifting for the soul as it is relaxing for the body. A place of understated luxury and utter comfort, where you are surrounded by beauty at every turn - a place that, in bringing together the finest art and the warmest hospitality, brings people together from all over the world to share and experience both. A place built on the belief that when you stay with art, the art stays with you long after you leave. Such a place is the Elma Arts Complex Luxury Hotel. Located atop the hills of Zichron Ya'akov, its elevated position allows for breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. Elma itself is a work of art. And like the pioneers who built Zichron over a century ago, Elma brings something completely new to the world. The vision of arts patron Lily Elstein, it offers an experience that pampers the body as it nourishes the spirit.
The hotel is wonderful, and extends over a large area (takes quite a while to get your bearings!). The walls of the whole hotel are covered in amazing modern art paintings. We started off in a superior room, which was very nice (a bit far from the hotel reception, but then upgraded to a deluxe room in the main hotel complex. Definitely worth the upgrade: the deluxe rooms are stunning, and we have an amazing view from our two balconies. The only possible criticism is that I felt the buffet dinner in the Oratorio restaurant was not up to the standard of a top 5 star hotel. But that may be just me....it would definitely not stop another visit to this superb hotel.

New boutique hotel just opened in July 2019. Concierge, personal service to our guests, Centrally located, 11 amazing rooms with rain showers, bath and jacuzzi. No any connection to the old hotel. New owner and everything is totally different. All old reviews are not relevant to us.
The location is perfect for visiting Zichron or the surrounding areas. Service is beyond excellent with attention to detail and hospitality. Communication with the hotel was perfect - very rapid informative responses, via Whatsapp. The open bar is great - just add diet drinks :-) My wife said the Spa was one of the best treatments she had (and the price was also very reasonable). The room is small but very well equipped.

Probably one of the lowest level hotels in Israel. Although the cost was very low, I'm not sure we ever been in such low level hotel. The photos from the application are far from demonstrating how bad it is. Looks like it has been taking from the 80's. Economica smell is all around, so you feel like you are about to enjoy at Beit Hayal hospitals for soldiers. Stay away.

To extend your experience of Israel’s beautiful sunsets over the Mediterranean Sea, we have recently opened 3 B&B rooms adjacent to our pampering wine spa. With a glass of wine, an embrace, romantic music and a fluttering heart. A private room: Enjoy the spectacular panorama from the suite, with its seating corners, pampering Jacuzzi, a TV packed with good films and many treats (:
My husband and I stayed there for a short romantic getaway and it was perfect. The room was cozy, the view was spectacular and the staff were warm, friendly and willing to help with every question. I’m actually planning my next trip back there since 2 nights was simply not enough time in this beautiful space.

After all the great reviews we were surprised at how unappealing the place actually was. Very, very noisy with most rooms facing the busy street—we were woken at 6am every morning by loud trucks. There is a slight discount. on the full breakfast of a place in town, but no discount if you order just a coffee and pastry; otherwise no breakfast (and Israeli breakfasts are so great!) The owner wasn't around when we arrived nor when the internet went down; he doesn't seem to be involved very much in what goes on and we found him quite abrupt and argumentative. We were shocked when he insisted on charging extra for our friends spouse because the friend had accidentally booked for 1 person. He didn't know which of us had booked the jacuzzi room so there was a mix up and one of us ended up in it, it ended up being so noisy we had to change rooms so wasn't worth it. There was a disgusting dirty ashtray outside our room when we arrived that had not been cleaned or removed. While the rooms themselves are quite cute, there are better places to stay in the area.

We stayed here Friday and Saturday night over the Shabbat. Large comfortable room. Bottle of wine included. Walking distance to restaurants open on Shabbat- no worries. After a hot day at Akko, the pool was fantastic to relax and reinvigorate. We did a wine tasting and enjoyed the wine and the knowledge of the vintner. Bought some Carignan for the road. All reds there- good stuff- small production winery. Location excellent for sights in Galilee.

We stayed in the suites above the Baronita restaurant for a romantic getaway. The room was clean and comfortable and came with a fridge, microwave, and kitchenette with sink and dishes. It has a table outside the door which overlooks the restaurant courtyard and is a nice place to have lunch. The area is fairly quiet and the historical and arts/crafts district is a few blocks away. The chef, Ayelet, was our hostess and was very friendly.

We stayed one night at the “Nice and Cozy Studio Apartment, as we had a special event in Zikron Yaakov. The family running the small studio apartment were indeed very nice and friendly. The couple took what we felt was a personal interest in who we are and why we chose their accommodations. And we certainly had pleasant conversations with our hosts. The apartment was indeed small if it can be called “cozy” that is up to the persons renting the room. No breakfast was provided, as this apparently had to be ordered in advance. We did not do so as we had a morning event that was around brunch-time. The room did have a small kitchen area with a large refrigerator. The air conditioner, although it seemed new, was not really very powerful enough to heat the room. Even at its maximum temperature, the unit had difficultly heating up the not very large room. The bed was more or less comfortable. More or less because the bed was somewhat narrow for two people and we both found ourselves on the opposite edges while trying not to fall off. A kind of crude comedy act. The blanket was also somewhat thin. I have to admit that the bathroom with its tiny shower was somewhat humorous. But the shower defiantly needs improvement. The soap basket was rusty, and the cheap chrome had flaked off, exposing the rust. Also, the shower door water rubbers had certainly seen better days and were black or dark brown from fungus growths. Also, windowsill in the bathroom appeared not to have cleaned for some time. Nonetheless, for one night “Nice and Cozy Studio Apt” for its price was OK. It would be inconvenient to stay there for more than one night. We had a one-room studio apartment. However, the proprietors told us that they have a larger two-room apartment for families. We did not see this larger apartment. A larger bathroom shower and a replacing the shower soap basket would certainly help improve the look and feel of the family-owned “Nice and Cozy Studio Apartment”. For a small studio apartment such as this, it is the small personal things that count.
