Food here is great plus they have a nice service. Friendly staff and willing to give into our requests. Delicious meal at a reasonable price. Would love to go back for other family gathering. As we will really enjoyed their service here.

My wife and I were booked in Room 217. We checked in at 3pm and had hoped to get some rest, but we couldn't because of the noises coming from what seemed like rowdy people next door. We initially thought they were guests in other rooms, but it turns out that Room 217 was beside the break room for the staff. We just happened to be in our room while employees were noisily unwinding next door. We've no problems about staff letting off some steam after a hard shift, but guests are trying to get some rest. We duly notified the front desk about our concern. Instead of a standard type of apology coming straight from the hotel's PR department, we only got a stern reminder that the break room will only be occupied until 1800, and that we'll have a quiet night's sleep. No apology. Shame because the hotel looked like it was recently renovated, which is keeping me from giving it the lowest rating.

The pictures of their rooms are not the reality. Ask them to send updated room photos before booking. The room they put us in we refused to stay as it had moldy sealing, smelly cabinets, broken and smelly fridge, rusted and dusty fan, windowless room, and mosquitoes buzzing around. This is suppose to be their “deluxe” room. The front desk eventually agreed to put us in a different room which was an improvement. The staff unfortunately all seem rather depressed. No smiles, no welcoming greetings. The bar area at night is completely dead, no music, no atmosphere, and at 9pm everyone starts packing up, sweeping and cleaning which we took as a sign that we should leave.

Quiet place. All ok looksl a little dated and could do with a bit of cleaning here and there but nice staff. Will return. Swimming pools were nice. Good place for a day or two. Beach is ok but didn't look good to swim in the sea.

Cherry Midtown Hotel recenly opened last Dec. 12, 2012. It has 47 rooms with 4 different room categories (standard, junior deluxe, twin deluxe and executive suite). Breakfast is included in the rate. It is situated in the commercial district of Olongapo City and is just steps away from a church, supermarket, hospital, bus station and diffrent restaurants. It is 10 minutes away from two shopping malls.
Room is big, I paid cheap for the room, one night only so it’s fine with no refrigerator. Though complete toiletries given. Very near to everything, just waking distance to Victory Liner which is a plus since i travelled by bus going to Olongapo.

For Junior Suite same room amenities have been applied with 1 King Size Bed.
Stayed a couple of night in March. It had been a few years since we had been last and i can say the pandemic has certainly had in impact with Blue Rock. The accommodation was very tired to say the least and in desperate need of update...especially the shower room if you can call it that. AC worked, TV/Cable did not, hot water heater was from the early 1990's i think. The restaurant menu as ever is extensive. There was a group of 8 of us and none of us had a decent meal the time we were there. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Won't be going back to Blue Rock....i am sure there are better out there. The beach and water was clean and clear at the Blue Rock....but when walking along the beach it was littered with garbage in and out of the water.......says a lot when the locals can't be bothered to maintain it

Worst place we’ve stayed in Philippines after over 30 different hotels & apartments. Outdated appliances. Broken promises. Rice cooker about to start a fire. Internet down 30% of the time. Owner’s wife said I complained too much after 4 days and said if you don’t like it leave. Once I started leaving she and her husband start yelling at me and grabbed my stuff. The owner made a punch fist about to hit me so I asked for the police and took them to the police station. Police sided with us and we heard many complaints and similar problems from tenants. Stay away at all costs!!!!!!!! Horrible, humiliating and traumatic experience. Never in my life have I dealt with such a closed minded and aggressive couple. If I can give -99999999 score I would. That’s my warning to you. There are better places across the street and along Balloy street. - Mike
