My nro 1 place to stay in Ylläs everytime! Clean facilities, warm and relaxed atmosphere, comfortable public areas, rooms & beds & very nice kitchen with free coffee, porridge & muesly for morning. Good saunas and most importantly, path to most beautiful fell in Ylläs, Kuer tunturi, goes just outside, you can borrow snowshoes here too. Hostel is on ski bus route. 20 minute walk to Äkäslompolo center with nice restaurants, Jolie cafe is really recommendable & Saiko deli in K-market has excellent sushi.

Erittäin siisti mökki, hyvä sänky nukkua, erittäin mukava ja avulias vuokraemäntä. Sijainti hyvä Ylläksen keskustassa. Polkupyörät ja Sup-laudat olisivat kuuluneet hintaan. Hinta-laatusuhde positiivinen.

Stayed for a week in the Nordic Chalets in March. Overall it was positive but there are a few things to be aware of before you book. We were a family of 4 and arrive via overnight train to Kolari. We travelled independently. But the positive first - Nordic Chalets were spotlessly clean and well equipped. - Dinner in the restaurant was excellent every time (didn’t have the buffet) - Staff were all very friendly and accommodating - Bus from Kolari drops you to the door (€85 return for 2 adults and 2 children) - Free ski storage in apartments (or lockers by the gondola if you’re really lazy) - Enough places to eat so you won’t get bored if you don’t want to eat at the hotel - for a week. Now the negative - It’s 300m+ walk from the hotel. Dragging bags over gritted ice and snow downhill was hard…uphill to check out was really hard with kids. They should provide a shuttle service. I would tip generously. - All the equipment and couldn’t even buy coffee in the mini market. Self catering here is hopeless unless you have a car. The bus to Akaslompolo was over €30 for us and not that regular. Mini market really doesn’t have much. - The Nordic Apartments are not ski in or out. Not by any definition. The hotel is - but not the apartments. - The kids niche was comfortable - they loved it. Our bed was akin to a camper or sofa bed. The mattes is only an inch or two thick. It’s not a double. It was not comfortable and found it hard to sleep on but I am a light sleeper.

At very same establisnent... No service but almost rude behavior from staff. Never again! Lapland is wonderful this place is not. :(

Ski resorts tend towards party, bars and booze although many visitors come to Lapland for the nature, the amazing fells, the quiet and the awe. Although there ought to be, at present, there are no organic, green sustainability respecting resorts, yet Pallas Hotel comes close to it. With its exquisite gourmet food, refusal to refurbish everything with plastic and new paint, its ice swimming pond, incredible views, history and tradition, it is the only Finnish hotel that qualifies as a Nordic equivalent to an alpine resort. The dozen fell tops at your fingertips, the wooden interiors, the laid back homely ambiance, the wild fauna and flora, the quiet, the views, the library rooms, the kitchen, the kitchen and the kitchen, and the chef... It is a gem for nature and hiking lovers.

Just back from a week’s trip to Hotel Harriniva. Hubby and me and our 14 year old daughter. Every part of this trip was a highlight. Seeing the Northern Lights twice from just outside the hotel next to the frozen river, husky trips, cross country skiing trails, ice fishing. Also visited Artic Sauna World at Hotel Jeris and the reindeers at Torassieppi. Everything was wonderful about the activities, all of the guides were super friendly and well informed. All of the staff at the hotel were so friendly and genuinely helpful and they made the whole trip very easy as everything thing was organised so well. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We were half board with a hot and cold buffet breakfast each morning and delicious hearty meal each evening. We had an early flight home and they provided us with a breakfast bag for the trip. Our accommodation was basic/standard but spacious and extremely comfortable. We were sad to leave and felt truly blessed to have visited this wonderful place.

I stayed in this hotel for one week. On the arrival I upgraded from economy too to one bedroom apartment for a reasonable money, much less then an upgrade online would cost. The apartment is good size and well designed but I have never had so many technical issues in one hotel as in this one week. The ceiling light was broken, two sockets in the kitchen didn’t work, the reception for few available digital channels was poor and most of the time didn’t work, soap dispenser didn’t work, the shower needed fix before using it. It was just annoying and an indication of poor hotel management. The furniture was very worn out and old. On the other hand, the staff was helpful, and the food was very good, breakfast as well as dinner. Therefore 3 stars but if anyone ever builds a new hotel in the area, I would not come here back.

Ended up here when I thought I had booked their affiliate property, L7. Seems that they use the same reservation email address for both hotels and just assume you want to book this hotel without bothering to ask. Trying to sort this out with them was absolutely impossible, and customer service does not seem to be a concept they have any familiarity with.

We are a small family enterprise in the heart of village Muonio in northern Finland or as we call it, Lapland. We are located by the lake Muoniojärvi. We offer accommodation in cosy and clean apartments and cottages. In summer you can enjoy the beach which is across the road. In winter the cross-country ski tracks start from our yard.
Stayed in one of the simpler cottages for the third time this summer. Very nice place in the heart of Muonio, close to beach and supermarkets, but still a very quiet and relaxing place. Lovely owners that are always ready to help out. Both cottages and showers/toilets and clean and well maintained.
