Despite its name, Winter Park is really a destination for all seasons. The Winter Park resort draws skiers and snowboarders in the winter and mountain bikers in the summer. Trailblazers may take to the woods on snowmobiles or cross-country skis in the snowy months, but when the sun comes out those same trails are perfect for hiking and the water is high for rafting. Spring wildflowers, summer wildlife, fall colors and crystalline winters make Winter Park a true natural wonder all year long.

Room was clean and comfortable, staff friendly, facility looks to be in good shape. Pricey, but that's to be expected in a resort town. The only real drawback was parking. We were pulling a 20' trailer and there was literally no place we could park. The main lot was closed for refurbishing, but even if it were open, it's pretty small, and the overflow lot is such that larger vehicles or trailers will be very challenging to get in and out, so if you're traveling with a trailer, very large RV, semi, etc, this may not be your best choice. Otherwise though, without a trailer, I'd sure stay here again.

If you are coming just to ski - this is a great affordable option - especially for a short weekend trip. Better off in one of the many condos for a longer trip. the hotel was clean and staff friendly. Easy access to Winter Park to ski and enough of a kitchen to do breakfast in the room before hitting the slopes.

It was an amazing experience! I have traveled a lot of places in the world and visited many hotels. It is not every time that I had the chance to visit a hotel with that many facilities and possibilities. As for the hotel itself, the room is super comfortable, clean, cute, and I love the look! I also really enjoyed that the place has great little free and healthy snacks for athletes to consider when they arrive in their room. One of my favorite things about my stay at Gravity Haus was the amazing full equipped gym! It was hands down the best I have ever seen in a hotel! The gym is super big and has plenty of room to work out! It is not secret, I love to have an active vacation, and this place has all the features I needed. I was also happy to have the chance to enjoy a great hot tub after a long skiing day! If you are an eco, healthy, fit, and fun person, this place is the best place to go! The restaurant is also amazing, and the food is super healthy and delicious... It was so hard to choose! One thing I really loved was the eco packaging they had for the cups. It is so amazing for the planet, and I am happy to finally see a hotel taking some action into this important cause.

Valley Hi Motel is in a central location, right in the middle of beautiful Winter Park, Colorado. The best skiing is right down the road. The best mountain biking is also right outside our door. There are all sorts of activities, entertainment, restaurants and shopping just a few steps away. Summer or winter check into the Valley Hi Motel and experience all Winter Park has to offer!
Fine little hotel. Clean big comfortable rooms, plenty of restaurants in a couple of minutes walk, the Lift free shuttle is right by the hotel and the grab it breakfast was fine. Good value … but… the proprietor is the biggest benefit there. Far more helpful than can be commercially justified, he pulled me out of a hole that I’d dug myself into and continued to go beyond what we could expect. Deserves more stars than the maximum.

Zephyr Mountain Lodge is the premier ski-in/ski-out facility at Winter Park Ski Area. Comprised of 2 buildings, Slopeside and Riverside, the lodge has a total of 230 condominiums in 1, 2 and 3 Bedroom configurations. Each condo is privately owned by Winter Park enthusiasts and rental units are offered through several rental management companies in the Winter Park area. We hope you enjoy your stay!
When you accept this is a 3 Star property, this is an ok experience for the rate. It is rather remarkable that Winter Park apparently lacks all the other amenities of other resorts because the skiing and slopes are excellent. The lifts and trails are perfect, and coaching staff all first rate. Be forewarned that if you come to this resort after around 6, your options for food and booze are entirely limited or totally unavailable. I just cannot understand why the resort wouldn’t make reasonable accommodations for weary travelers ....much less anything basic like a freaking bottle of water for crying out loud. We checked several rooms and all were similarly mediocre. Now granted we were at the tail end of the season and it felt like everyone and everything was just done. All that said I would stay again...if the rate was cheap enough.

We really liked our Founders Pointe unit (4340) as it was spacious, well-equipped and tastefully decorated. It was also nice to walk to dinner across the street. However, we were disappointed that the hot tub was drained due to a pipe issue. A key reason we had chosen this property was to use the hot tub after a day of hiking. Also, we woke up to loud construction outside our window on 2 out of 3 mornings.

You get what you pay for… Located in downtown Winter Park, the Viking Lodge and Ski Shop is an icon in Winter Park. Since 1953 we have been providing affordable lodging to guests who just want to ski and have a great time. At The Viking Lodge you get what you pay for. The carpets are old, the walls are thin, and the TV’s are not flat screen. But we won’t break your budget; we offer cheap accommodations in an old ski lodge at a great location in downtown Winter Park. We have 21 rooms; from VERY small to apartments. All rooms have private baths and color televisions; box style televisions, yes they are old TV’s, but you should be outside not sitting in your room watching TV. Pool, gym, ice sculptures, room service, robes, bell boys, 24 hour front desk, spa – this is a list of stuff we don’t have. We do have clean rooms, a great downtown location, game room, friendly staff and the best dirt parking lot in Winter Park. We don’t do daily maid service or mints on pillows, but if you ask we will clean your room and find a mint somewhere. If you’d rather be surfing the web than skiing, riding, biking, hiking, reading, chatting with friends or meeting new ones, you’ll be pleased to know that we have Wi-Fi in the lobby. I suppose some have to work anyway. You can make use of our luggage room before check-in and after check-out. Our reception is not open all day (heck we would rather be outside skiing, riding, biking or hiking too) but no fear, we will leave directions for check-in; usually at the Ski Shop or T-shirt shop. If you will be arriving after hours (like 6PM) please call. Coming soon The Viking Lodge is a work in progress; despite all attempts to the contrary we are becoming more impressive on a daily basis. Some rooms even have tile in the bathrooms, new sinks and fancy bedspreads and curtains.
We loved this place! Quaint lodge style. Everyone that worked there was outrageously friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic - shuttle, rental, pub, restaurant & shops all within easy walking range (literally just a few steps away). The lounge area is very nice - we enjoyed the pod coffee-maker and used the microwave to make cereal (that we brought) in the mornings - and we played games at the table in front of the gas fire (operated by remote control, that is left out for the guests to control). We had one of the double queen rooms, that was fantastic, and a king room that was 'just' normal. Even the other guests were friendly. Thanks for having us. PS: You can rent ski gear along with the reservation, and collect it from the rental place over the street (not the rental place that appears to be part of the lodge building)

When we rented a "luxury house" in their terms, we assumed that the heat would work, the plumbing would be operational, and maybe the walk to the front door would be shoveled to get to the access code to get in. Stay at Winter Park has a different perspective of what is acceptable. When service came out to address the issues, they let us know the heat and plumbing were pre-existing and had been a problem for a long time and could not be fixed. When we called to ask for a night off since we did not have heat or operational plumbing in one of the levels of the home, they said it was not their problem. Suggest looking elsewhere for your next rental.
Want all the high-alpine sights without the climb? Take advantage of lift access to the trailhead, then head out on a guided hike through forest and meadow with sweeping views between the trees. Minimal elevation change makes this an easier hike to tackle, while still boasting panoramic views from an elevation of 10,700 feet and the potential for a moose sighting.
