Reviewed By 647timgWe arrived in early hours of the morning and left early. Everything was arranged in advance and it all ran smoothly. Clean room and great facilities. The location is ideal being close to Auckland but on the doorstep of some wonedrful Northland beaches.

Reviewed By JenNejsWe absolutely loved our night at Woodhouse Mountain Lodge and keen to return! Both of us said how much we wished we had booked in for dinner, after checking in and enjoying the room, we really couldn’t be bothered driving back to Matakana for our dinner reservation and wished we were just coming down to the lovely restaurant. We slept so well; loved the peace & tranquillity of the property, and it was a great touch to finish our stay with a beautifully cooked breakfast in the morning. Next time will definitely be dinner on-site; and time spent enjoying the bar, library, and jacuzzi! I’ve already recommended it to a few friends, and will definitely keep it in mind for future small work events too.

GREAT LOCATION, CLEAN & COMFORTABLE
Reviewed By Michelle BWe found Bridgehouse Lodge ideal for our needs. Very central. Good off street parking. The rooms are not flash but they are spotlessly clean and comfortable. Our wifi was good. Very nice restaurant on site. The only point to note, although it didn't worry us, is that it can be noisy if there is a function in the function room. We felt that the accommodation was realistically priced. We will return.

Nancy's Garden is situated in the historical township of Warkworth located just an hour's drive north of Auckland. Come and relax in our newly built and stylish B&B featuring en suite rooms with doors opening out unto our forest garden. Set well back from the road and surrounded by 15 acres of native forest, it's the ideal place where you can come and enjoy peace and tranquility.
Highly recommended, would definitely stay again.

This didn’t appear to be a problem for Johan & Nancy who were perfect hosts, & couldn’t have been more friendly or welcoming. The house & surrounds are amazing, stunning views, overlooking native bush. Our room was air conditioned, comfortable & very clean, best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. Great value for money, Continental breakfast was included in the price, which was delicious. Thank you both for being so hospitable, & Johan many thanks for sharing your local knowledge.

Surrounded by beautiful gardens on 12 acres. If it is peace and quiet that you are looking for, then you will find us located 1km from the main highway and approximately 5km from the nearest township (Warkworth) less than 5 minutes drive, in a very pleasant and tranquil valley. Millwood House features fee Wi-Fi and parking. Directions: Please follow the signs for Ransom Winery, once at the row of letter boxes you will see a large blue Millwood House sign. Follow this sign down the gravel road and at the bottom there is a sharp corner and once around this corner the drive for Millwood House will be in front of you.
Beautiful B&B with a fantastic breakfast
Reviewed By JoWatson28We wanted to stop off somewhere on our journey from the Bay of Islands to the Coromandel Peninsula, and I'm so pleased we came across Millwood. The setting is idyllic, and although nearby Warkworth doesn't have much to it, we were able to find somewhere for dinner with some help from our lovely hosts. Melanie and Ian were extremely welcoming and gave us lots of helpful hints and tips for our trip - thank you! Our room was extremely comfortable, it had a great shower, and a lovely view across their beautiful garden. They also have a lovely big guest sitting room, which we didn't have time to make use of, but it looked very comfortable. Breakfast was on of the best we had over our 3 week trip. Melanie's homemade muesli and jams were delicious, and the cooked breakfast was very well made. Excellent value, highly recommend!

No Sky TV, no AC (beat up pedestal fan), no dishcloth, no tea towel, nowhere to put your stuff in the bathroom or bedroom shelving, vanity, nice wardrobe but no hangers, lighting in unit was minimal, no spare pillows or blankets. It is just the small things and details that make a huge difference so just take a look at this sort of stuff. You can get them at little cost via the Warehouse and such. As I said previously just pay attention to the small details.

Reviewed By Sue DFrom the moment we arrived till we left we felt pampered. The pool was fantastic with views across the countryside. Deborah and Colin are brilliant hosts, fabulous cooks with wonderful breakfasts. They looked after every little detail with ease. I can only highly recommend their bnb, in fact I already have to many of my friends.
