New hotel , nice design
Reviewed By Meert RI have stayed here for several days. Good hotel, nice bathroom, not very big but all you need.Breakfast buffet is not very large but all I wished was there. The waitress comes to ask you if you want egg and how you would like to have them cooked.We also had dinner several times. Fish dishes are good.Didn't like the pasta. Apfelstrudel was sooo nice.

Welcome to our family hotel.Your welfare is very imptorant for us. A place of enjoyment and recreation, amidst beautiful nature but for all that nearby Waldkirch and Freiburg - two interesting and lovely cities. The Suggenbad is an ideal starting point for recreation, sportive activities, hiking tours and much more. We prepare our foods with local ingredients, we have beautiful garden restaurant and lovely, snug restaurant rooms.Guests find a bus station directly in front of the hotel. Tourists can make use of public transportation free of charge.
Great place to stay along the trail
Reviewed By Chris HMy son and I are hiking through the Black Forest and stopped for the night. After 5 hours walking we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. After an excellent meal we were able to take advantage of the spa facilities and limber up from the days activities. After a good nights sleep and hearty breakfast we’re ready to hit the road again. I highly recommend Hotel Suggenbad. I wish my wife and daughter had been able to come as they would have loved it.

Lovely getaway, friendly owners
Reviewed By Ker0sineWe (a couple plus dog) stayed here for 5 days in August and really enjoyed it. One can always feel when a hotel is family owned, because you get personal service and tips and it's much nicer than staying in a place where you're just another number. We enjoyed our long walks with the dog next to the nearby river and through the raspberry fields. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh eggs made to our liking, homemade jam, fresh buns and other local goodies. One could also have the breakfast delivered to the room or in a basket to go, which is a very cool idea. It's the perfect place to clear your head and relax. One star less for that same reason. There is nothing in the area except for 2 restaurants which close pretty early. So if you want to go out in the evening you have to drive to a different city. There is a nice restaurant a walking distance from the hotel, but after spending there 3 evenings in a row we really wanted a different kind of entertainment. Other than that, it was a really great stay, thank you Hirschenstube :)

Charming gasthof
Reviewed By 2012ValWe found ourselves unexpectedly needing a last minute overnight stay and could not have been more pleased than with this find. We stayed in Room 2 with a lovely balcony to enjoy the rural views and it was spotless and very spacious. The breakfast far exceeded our expectation with extra touches like a bowl of fresh cherries and some really nice ham.

Reviewed By Charles DOn my short stay here I had no complaints. The room was clean, the personal, friendly and helpful. The hotel was modern renovated. The one deficit was that were only 5 parking places behind the hotel where one could park at night.

Rural bliss and quality in a beautiful side valley
Reviewed By Chris IWe enjoyed our wedding celebration here 40 years ago and in March 2015, we celebrated the anniversary. This included a reception and dinner for some 30 guests on a Saturday night. Our guests variously arrived from different parts of Germany, the U.K. and Italy and most stayed at the KH. They were spontaneously delighted with the establishment without exception (many included businesspeople who had travelled extensively). They were equally impressed with the position, the ambience, the rooms, the cuisine and the stylish service. On the day of the actual celebration, head chef and proprietor Andi Gluminski – who enjoys a very good reputation locally – really excelled himself and we even heard the word 'Michelin' being mentioned...
