Reviewed By ElbaH_12In the late evening we returned to a room that had not been freshened up and the towels were piled up as left to be picked up and replaced with clean/fresh ones. Never an apology! Sadly, all they could come up with was to blame COVID (this was a stay on 4/29 and 30, 2022). I'm never returning to this Hampton Inn & Suites. We were never asked to choose to not have the room freshed and towels replaced. Also, the room smelled stale--we're done with Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton in Vestal, NY. If the hotel has adopted the policy of not changing towels and freshening up the rooms unless you tell them otherwise at check-in, then at check-in, the attendant needs to ask the guests whether they prefer to have this expected service.

Older hotel, but no major issues
Reviewed By AK173Stayed here with my family on a weekday for a funeral in-town. I got a great company rate from my employer to use for personal travel. We had no issues with our stay. Front desk staff member not overly talkative/friendly, no biggie. The property seemed a little bit older. Used the pool for a bit in the evening and had it all to ourselves, kids had a blast, didn't see any other families our entire stay, which I guess is expected for a weekday in May. We were in a studio suite, which gave us plenty of room for one of our kids to be on the pull-out sofa and the other on his travel cot. The room was clean, AC worked well, good water pressure in the shower, comfortable bed. Seemed a little bit dated but it was fine. Breakfast was tasty and had a good variety of hot foods. By 8:30 everyone else had seemingly left for the day so we pretty much had a private breakfast. There were a lot of contractor/work vans in the parking lot and signs asking to remove boots, that seemed to be most of the clientele, who are probably out very early in the morning. Check out wasn't till noon which is generous and worked well for our situation. Having grown up in the area I am intimately familiar with the location and surrounding businesses. It's on a strip of the "Vestal Parkway" where any kind of store you need or any kind of restaurant you are looking for is no more than a 10 minute drive away. Very convenient and close to everything, including Binghamton University, about a 5 minute drive away.

This newly renovated 143 room property is located directly across from Binghamton University, and just minutes form Route 86/81. The oversize rooms offer refrigerators and microwaves, comfortable beds, and a complimentary hot breakfast buffet! The parking lot is has ample space for trucks and buses, and complimentary wireless throughout the hotel. Visit Johnnies tavern our on site lounge or dine at Fuji San- the Japanese Steak House.

Reviewed By jumesmI called this hotel and asked if they would accept cash as payment. The jerk who answered the phone stated that they were a credit card only hotel. When I proceeded to question the policy further (e.g., "if I present a credit card in case of incidentals, but I prefer to make payment with the green paper, is that acceptable?" "No, sir. We are a credit card only hotel." "That's unusual." (At this point, receptionist raises his voice). "SIR, THIS IS OUR POLICY!"). In that case, I'll stay somewhere with more flexible policies. You have just lost a customer.

Reviewed By KatyNycThe 4 star rating is only because assistant manager Stacy is amazing from customer service to decorating for graduation to maintaining all employees. The room itself was very dirty. Stained sheets, garbage remnants from prior guests, saggy bed and worst of all a blood stained garbage can. It took multiple requests to remove it from where I placed it in hallway. It isn’t the maintenance gentleman, it’s the manager who showed no reaction at all.

Great staff, older facility, weird 2BR, hot breakfast

While not the most recently build or updated RI in which we've stayed, everything worked and the 3 beds, 2 bathrooms, and kitchen were all much appreciated. The staff was great and this was the first RI in which we've stayed post-COVID that had a hot breakfast offering in their 'to-go' buffet. We very much enjoyed the egg, cheese, and sausage sandwiches and the selection was varied and tasty providing oatmeal, yogurt, various cereals, bagels, and more. On the downside, the upstairs bedroom is not separated from the living room despite the, "Enjoy the privacy and comfort in the spacious penthouse loft", blurb in the bedroom description. Moreover, the downstairs bedroom does not have it's own HVAC ducts and so in sub-freezing weather those doors need to be kept open to the living room as well.

DISGUSTING
Reviewed By Nanabanana61Don't ever stay at this property, the lobby and halls were dirty, checked into our first room to find the floors, bathroom and fridge dirty. Went to the second room to find it was not only dirty but there was dried blood on the furniture, bed and pillows. We were staying on travel points they wouldn't immediately refund our points ended up paying over $500 for 3 nights at a different hotel after and 8 hour drive!!!

Find us off NY 434, a mile from Binghamton University and Vestal's choice of restaurants. Downtown Binghamton, Roberson Museum and Science Center, and Recreation Park are a 10 minute drive. Great Binghamton Airport is 12 miles away. Enjoy free daily breakfast and our 24-hour fitness center. Parking and WiFi's on us.
Small rooms, dorm like, only good for 1 or 2 night stay
Reviewed By SaraB462If looking for space, pass on this. Rooms are smaller and are like a dorm. No dresser or closet, but a few hangers to hang items. Mini fridge and a small desk area. No carpet. No extra chair for lounging. No carpet but vinyl wood flooring. Because of the smaller room, the bed sits in a raised compartment. Because of the smaller room, you hit your leg on the corners of the bed. If you are a Hilton member, travel a lot, looking for space and upgrades, pass on this. If only need a stop for a night or two, this would suffice. Our room was not up to par as Hampton Inn next door. Sheets, mattress cover, and bed were stained. Requested housekeeping service next day on the clipboard, and they did not service our room. Coffee and hot water for tea was cold. Not a fan.

Nice Hotel
Reviewed By BobkatevanLots of stores and restaurants nearby. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. WIFI worked well. Check in was quick and easy. About an hour after checkout I realized I left my smart watch on the counter, so had to run back to hotel. When I arrived, housekeeping was in the room and the watch was no where to be found. I tried to trace with my phone, but couldn't locate. Housekeeping staff and management staff said they would continue to look for it. After an hour driving back towards NYC, I received a call from a staff member who said another housekeeper had found it and they would send back to my home. I was very happy and when I arrived back home, it was waiting for me at my front door. Thank you staff for continuing to find my watch and sending it back to me. I sincerely appreciate the extra attention it was given.
