It had breakfast and dinner but considerably cheap. The only problem is that they charge you cash. The service and room are perfect. People and surrounding is very nice. Alanya and antique Side is very close to see. There are also many sightseing places. Even October is good for the place to visit and stay.

Selene Beach & SPA Hotel is located in Alanya Türkler with its unique architecture. 105 km to Antalya Airport, 65 km to Alanya - Gazipasa Airport 22 km to Alanya, 2 km to Avsallar. Our hotel is by the sea, our beach BC. It is an old harbor dating back to 200 years.
I booked this hotel for my wife's 60th birthday after reading all the good reviews but this was everything but good, it was absolute hell. We booked this hotel under the name Numa beach hotel but when we arrived we were told it was called Selene hotel, it looks like the hotel name has been changed and we couldn't see any star rating on any information even though we asked the staff for evidence of what star rating it was?? We booked a double sea view room and only to get two single beds, reception said they only have single beds and you can put them together but you still had two separate quilts and the beds would part meaning you would fall to the floor. Shower kept blocking, sink kept blocking, air conditioning leaked flooded part of the bedroom and when we returned that evening after being told they would repair and clean up the mess it was everything but, air conditioning repaired but mess left, wet floor, wet towels, muddy footprints throughout room and bathroom area in which we cleaned up before going to bed. Air conditioning in the gym not working for 6 days after complaining about this every single day to get repaired. We had no waiter service at breakfast time, dinner time and poolside. Buffet food was plentiful but only edible not great. Ala carte restaurant which you have to pay for was closed on the night we wanted to book it. Beach was very small not many sunbeds and very dirty. Extremely limited entertainment. Outside the hotel there were plenty of shops but no bars or restaurants, You had to take a taxi half hour trip to get to restaurants and bars. We asked to see the manager several times to try and sort out our complaints which were many more than what I put above but was told he was never available by other members of staff that were inundated with problems from other guests and just didn't want to know.

Arrived late last night ,room wasn’t ready I booked a family double room to be presented with a standard! then asked if we would like to upgrade!!!! Upgrade to what ? The room I paid for in first place!which was PRINTED CLEARLY ON MY HOTEL VOUCHER! I argued this ,he then apologised and still gave us a room that wasn’t even in the hotel.Anyway £210 later just to get away and get the kids to bed! 12.20am! After 10 hours none stop travelling! They know exactly what there doing ,tired family’s late at night getting left to sit in lobby for god knows how long, till you cave! There was other families very angry with reception for the exact same thing! The place is absolutely lovey ! But I will never ever come back ,we haven’t even been here 24 hours yet and spent just under £450 ,including upgrade (rip off) we have spent a fortune the shops are very expensive 2 big bags crisps 4 cans beer 2 packs mentos £37 ! For all inclusive It’s absolutely terrible! Make sure you bring lots of money you will need it! Everyone lingers for tips ! I don’t mind tipping but not every single time you ask for something or for any sort of help! Only one day in family of 5,the room we are in is the room I booked but they show you a crap room in some other little building away from hotel knowing you won’t want it,then sit you back in lobby just waiting for you to break! They charge what they want everyone’s upgrade was basically all the same but one paid £80 one paid £150 we paid £210 (here 2 weeks) Like iv said we have only been here less than 24 hours I’m hoping things change ,hotel is lovely lots to do for the kids.also very hard to get a bed at pool,we walked around forever before we found a pool we could actually sit at,I’m not a one who jumps up at 7am to reserve beds ! Personally I don’t think it should be allowed there was lots of beds left all day with towels on them for the entire day with no one using them! I will come back at the end of our holiday with an updated review ! Fingers crossed things will change!

My family and I stayed at the hotel at the end of May. The staff was absolutely fantastic! Nothing was too much to help us and to make sure we had the best possible experience. A special thank you to Sana and Victor for their kindness and their professionalism. The hotel is beautiful and was kept in pristine cleanliness at all times. There was a wide choice of excellent food. We also loved the entertainment! I definitely recommend as it is a great place to stay in our opinion.

Amazing holiday, was a little worried reading the reviews but no need we were a party of 8 4 adults, 4 children, every single one of us had an amazing time, the hotel was so clean. The rooms We had a double room with a double bed a single bed and a pull out bed, we all slept great. Room was big enough for us 4, good shower. Great air conditioning. The mini bar was topped up everyday with water, pepsi and fizzy orange. Our balcony over looked the road and the pool of next doors hotel was abit disappointed when we arrived and seen that when it was dark but in the morning when we looked we had a sea view, it was lovely we could also watch the evening entertainment from next doors hotel. Pool Amazing!! Big pool plenty of room. Inflatables were allowed children were in the pool all day. Slides again excellent in the hotel, not very busy always managed to get on with very little waiting time. Slides for all ages as well so no-one missed out. Main restaurant Loved the food, yes at time it didn't look the best but it was so tasty, tried loads of different foods. There was always chips, pastas, rice, loads of salad, several meat dishes and fish. Every meal there was fresh cooked food. Pancakes in the morning, meat or fish lunch time and the same either meat or fish in the evening. The restaurant was busy but we always found a table of 8 to sit at. Fresh bread was amazing. The desserts/cakes were some of the best cakes I've ever tried. Things we paid for My children bought candy floss one night which was 2 euro's it was huge! We bought ice cream a few times 1 euro for 2 good sized scoops. We had a cocktail which was a good price and well sized. We had ice lollies free at certain times during the day at the hotel from the kids club, and a few places on the island one by the chill out bar and one at the back of the water slides. The island We hired a VIP gazebo for a day it was brilliant, food and drink brought to you all day long, 40 euro's which was a really good price. Food on the island was good, fried chicken, chicken kebabs, pizza, burgers, pitta breads, all dotted around. The queues were quite long at times but bearable. We went to the evening entertainment one night it was ok didn't bother again as the children were happy playing in the park and the pool bar. Slides Brilliant but got very busy we managed to get on all of them before the queues started we got there at 1.30pm as soon as they opened for the afternoon. Would go back without a doubt! We did a private transfer took an hour and a half. Glad we did as it would have been a long coach transfer. We didn't eat out anywhere as the food was good. The staff were friendly on the whole I only seen one grumpy man in the pool bar one day, the way some of the guests treat and talk to them I would have been grumpy as well. I personally never had a problem with any of the staff. They all work so hard all day long. We booked a late check out for 5 euros and hour.

We so enjoyed staying at this hotel. Everything was fab. It’s a nice place, near to amenities and bus to Alanya, exceptionally clean, great entertainment and lovely fresh food with lots of choice. What makes this hotel extra special though are the staff. Happy and smiling, very helpful and polite always. Special mentions to Ezgi and Cumali at the pool bar, Nuray who always brought a beautiful smile to mealtimes, Huseyin, Osman, Ruslan, Mustafa and the hairdresser and cleaning ladies all who were wonderful and made us feel so welcome. I’m sure there are many others but we cannot remember all of the names but the service we received was excellent. If we had any criticism at all it is just that the music in the pool bar is very loud and it would be nice to have a quiet area to relax in but this didn’t really detract from our enjoyment of staying here. We would not hesitate to return here. Thank you so much. :)

This hotels has more cons than pros, but it's an honest review so here goes. Our family of 5 (2A & 3C) were presented with 2 beds at 12.30am arrival this took 2 hours for the hotel to make up another 2. Not what you need after travelling. No welcome drink but food available (if you could call it that; soup, bread and plain spaghetti) - you may notice that this was the food for the remainder of the stay. Wifi is available at a cost of €10 per device and connection is poor. Rooms Rooms are basic and need updating and fixing ie, broken towel shelf, broken fridge and plugs on one side of the wall didn't work. Only a double wardrobe with 4 hangers and narrow width shelves. Bathroom basic, no complimentary toiletries not even a beaker for toothbrush available. No kettle, tea or coffee etc. Only our bed was made daily but not the kids nor were new sheets replaced. Towels were however replaced daily BUT had to ring down every day to ask for extra as only ever left two. Small bottled water was left outside our door most days. Hotel Hotel itself seems grand but actually not maintained. Their grand lights in the entrance have half need replacing along with the rest of the hotel making it very dark even during the daytime. Lifts are painfully slow and the floors are very slippy especially the tunnel to the aqua park. Pools and Aquapark Pools are heated and couldn't fault them however the drains round the edges are lifted and need replacing. Tiles are also coming off, enough that the children were collecting them and the pool light came off too. Pool area has a bar & snackbar. Aquapark was only open 10-12 & 2-4, slides were good however the lifeguards are whistle happy!! The tunnel to the Aquapark is dangerous and slippy but you will have to make the trip over for ice cream if you're by the pool or you can pay. However if you're by the aquapark you have to walk over to the main pool for snacks as aquapark only provide pop, beer (No other alcoholic drinks) and ice-cream. Indoor pool empty. Pool beds, please replace these, mostly broken or covered in white bits from the paint as clearly been repainted. Beach You have a tractor/bus to take you but it is only a 10min walk to the bottom of the road and an underpass There is a hotel AI bar and snackbar (same food) at the beach with plenty of beds but not much beach. We only visited once. Gym Adequate however all machines need replacing as rundown and most not working and running machines kept breaking down and stopped during mid run causing knee injuries. Also no air con and not supervised (kids messing around). Food & Drink Where do I start, if you like bread and chips you will be happy. Breakfast - consisted of bread, soup, cheese, ham, chips, boiled eggs and fruit. Pancakes on a first come first served basis. Lunch - can't comment as never visited the restaurant only the snack bar. The option was the same every day. Make your own burger, chips, salad and chicken. I was happy with the salad but they kept adding what tasted like aftershave to the pre-prepared salad!!! Evening - same as breakfast however a lady always stripped chicken just outside the restaurant. Shout out to Picasso steakhouse who have external reps that visit around the pool advertising. They pick you up and return, the food is delicious but Turkey isn't as cheap as it used to be and costs the same as a steakhouses in the UK. Drink - soo disappointing to the point that one night when I showed my disgust the bar staff laughed knowing how bad they are - it actually became a running joke. None of the cocktails taste like cocktails and all have syrup in. The cups are the cheapest throw-away plastic cups unless in lobby bar. The plastic forks broke at every lunch. You can get reusable plastic cups but you have to argue for these. Patisserie lady - what a gem, such a lovely lady!! My kids loved her and her cakes!!!! Great idea!! No other restaurants were open only main restaurant, snack bar, aquapark bar, Patisserie and lobby bar. Entertainment If you're a male adult it's great!! However anyone else don't bother. My daughters was shunned away from one of the pool games. No daily activities for the children at all!! Never went to kids club as only aimed for toddlers. Daytime activities, adult water volleyball, aquarobics and a water basket ball whilst children look on. They are however allowed to play kick a ball in the goal and darts but again mostly men. There is no football pitch as many complained about this. Evening Entertainment consisted of 8.30-9 same pre rehearsed toddler dance routine then followed by a show or karaoke between 9.30 & 10. Only 2 shows whilst we were there. This is not comfortable viewing as you have to sit in the amphitheatre on concrete unless you're lucky enough to grab a cushion. Staff The Patisserie lady was lovely and eventually the bar staff were friendly at snack bar and lobby. Receptionists were very rude - front of house should represent the hotel. We managed to make the most of our holiday and met friends and had a good time. You could see that this hotel was once a 5* hotel but it hasn't been maintained. Such a shame as I believe it wouldn't take much to get back to a 5*. Maintain and update the building and replace dilapidated furniture. Train staff up, Reception for communication skills, language and manners. Teach the bar staff mixology. Hire chefs instead of cooks and create different dishes each night even if they're on a 7 day repeat. Serve reusable glasses by the bar (beer and cocktail glasses) add garnishes to cocktails! Make icream and snacks available at both pools. Do Not Charge for WiFi (c'mon it's 21st century, no-one charges nowadays!!) Offer welcome drinks and ensure beds are made ready especially for night arrivals- you know how many are booked in a party!! Wouldn't return again. Well done if you managed to read all that.

I’ll star with the cons and then go onto positives.. Firstly we were a party of 9, 4 kids and 5 adults. The evening entertainment is very poor, they have cartoons they project onto a big screen every night at 8:30 and then at 9 they have a mini disco, it’s the same songs every single night and by night 3 the kids were bored.. they then do 1 game of music chairs and then onto adult show. They don’t have any acts or performers that come in, they literally have the same 4 entertainment team trying to make up games to keep people entertained, it’s so awkward and the kids were just playing on their phones they got so bored. This is every single night by the way! We have to play sharades and cards to try and keep the kids entertained. The food is not very English at all.. the kids really struggled, they were having the same things for dinner and tea every single day and day 5 and 6 they literally just ate bread for 2 days. We upgraded to a apartment and it was lovely, we didn’t get fresh towels every day though, and I’m not sure they come in and clean every day either. The nighttime entertainment is no where near the bar so you have to walk all the way back round to get one drink. I had a dress go missing from my room, and when I went to reception they said they rang house keeping and they said they didn’t have it and it got left at that!! I said I understand what your saying but it has been taken out of my room I don’t have it, but nothing got done, not acceptable in my opinion, things should not go missing from guests rooms. They will offer you trips but they literally charge whatever they like, we got talking to one other groups and we were all charged different things completely! They will try and get as much money as they can out of you! Everything pretty much in euro, they don’t really like taking lira so take euros if you can! Pros The pools are beautiful! The water slides are so good and are open quite a lot through the day, there’s always a life guard watching aswell. The entertainment team themselves are lovely, very friendly and engaging and try their best, it’s just a shame they have to do every things themselves. There’s so much food so you will never feel hungry! Breakfast, snack bar, lunch, ice creams, cakes and dinner. The staff in the restaurant are lovely, really engaging and try their best to talk to you and communicate with you, they honestly can’t do enough for you. Get the tractor to the beach! It’s a few minutes away and you have your own private section and a mini bar that’s all inclusive still and they put lunch on just like they would at the hotel, the sea is beautiful! There is lots of trips to do, we did the beach party and big khal boat trip, both very good. Go to the reception and ask them to book a restaurant Called picassa, they literally pick you up and drop you off for free, it’s on the sea front of alanya and the food is beautiful, irs not cheap but we all got steaks and it was stunning. Overall, a good budget holiday, if it’s your one big massive family holiday defiantly go to 5* somewhere else as this is definitely a 3* but if a nice cheap week away you’ll love it, wouldn’t come again.
