A choice worth considering in Trencianske Teplice, something different from the main hotels
Reviewed By AFCWWe were very happy to have stayed at Villa Carpe Diem, it is a charming and welcoming place, and something very different from the grey looking Communist era hotels situated on the main street in Trencianske Teplice. Be warned that the slope up to the accommodation is very steep, so if you have any mobility/walking issues this is probably not the right place for you to stay. The slope was even quite steep for the car, and manoeuvring into the parking spaces was a little tricky with the slope looming, it would probably not be suitable for a less than confident driver. I certainly would not wish to drive up and down the slope in icy or very wet conditions. Having said that, we were grateful for the free parking, there are maybe 10 or so spaces. Other reviews mentioned that you are away from the town and on the edge of the forest and countryside. I imagined beautiful views, but from our room, the forest was almost right outside the window, so we were looking into darkness and trees, almost a bit spooky in the pitch dark! The location did have positives though, it was completely silent outside the window at night. The walk down the slope to the main street was a short one, we were there in probably just 5 minutes, so do not let the location put you off if you are able to walk ok. The two main plus points for us were the host and the breakfast. The host was a very nice guy, making jokes, but making sure we were welcomed and looked after at the same time. The breakfast was without question one of the nicest I have ever experienced, we had a very large tray of cheeses, hams, salami, salad, breads, etc waiting for us on our table in the breakfast room, everything very fresh and presented beautifully, they clearly take pride in their breakfasts here. On the second morning, eggs were cooked to order. Also coffee, tea, juices, fruit, yoghurts, etc. I would stay here again for the breakfast alone :-) The guest room was maybe slightly dated, but everything you need is there, and everything was spotlessly clean. I highly recommend staying here, as long as you can handle walking up and down the slope.

Reviewed By USSlovakThis is a small hotel a cozy hotel just steps from the TT downtown. It does not have a restaurant but there are many in town. Everything is like new and clean. The staff is very friendly. Do not forget to get a free parking card for your car. I would give it 5 points for the value but it is a very small hotel...

The PARKHOTEL na Baracke is a small, comfortable hotel of a family type. It is located in a beautiful natural suroundings on the outskirts of the spa park, by Swan Lake with a possibility of rowing and fishing. By the hotel there is a sport centre with tennis courts and minigolf course. It takes 10 minutes to walk through the spa park to the town centre.

Reviewed By Michael JNice hotel located somehow in the forest but still close enough to take a walk to the "centre" you can use the pool and two saunas of which one is a steam-sauna. Really nice to get some relax after working hours. Due to the room it's har to give the hotell more than 3 stars. They are not bad at at, the just doesn't meet the standard to get a higher rating. This hotell gets my warmest recommendation.

Kúpalisko Zelená žaba sa nachádza priamo nad areálom,cez cestu za potokom je park kúpeľov Trenčianske Teplice,do centra je to 5-10min. chôdze Celkové hodnotenie bez výčitky,boli sme maximálne spokojní.

The room rate includes rich cold and warm breakfast buffet, bathrobe and slippers available in the room upon arrival, parking (50 m. from the hotel), access to the wellness MELISSA / adventure pool /, fitness center access and Wi-Fi internet connection throughout the building.

Reviewed By AFCWPositives: - The hotel is modern and appealing looking from the outside, and in a good location in Trencianske Teplice, you can walk to the main street in a couple of minutes, and the bus station is very close too - Nice guest room, large and modern, good bathroom with roomy shower, water pressure and temperature always good. Room was clean - Nice size balcony with nice view was a bonus too - Reception staff friendly and welcoming and professional Negatives: - No room for us in the car park, so we had to park in the street, we would have preferred the security of keeping our car in the car park, so maybe it is not large enough for the size of the hotel - Indoor pool and sauna area not large enough for the size of the hotel, it was too crowded and uncomfortable, also you cannot use the whirlpool unless you book it beforehand (we were kicked out, because another couple had booked, but we had not) - Food in the restaurant for our evening meal was not good, it was bland and tasteless. Restaurant was not clean, there was food on the floor under our table. - Staff in the lobby bar and restaurant were not too friendly, especially the girls working in the restaurant at breakfast! - Breakfast buffet was chaotic, even when going early when it opened, the food there was fine though, once you finished dancing round other people to get to it. One coffee machine not enough for this size of hotel. Overall we were a bit underwhelmed unfortunately

Excellent food and service
Reviewed By Dannymc1985I dined here yesterday with my father and wife, the service from the lady in the restaurant was first class, very friendly and attentive. The menus is small but the dishes are all excellent. I had the duck leg and others had the chicken, the were both amazing, fantastic presentation and delicious, I would say this is probably the best restaurant in town in terms of quality and value. Main courses ranged from €10-16. I would happily have any meal listed on the menu. We have also been in summer for drinks, the roof terrace is a sun trap and offers great views and a chance to see the occasional woodpecker at eye level, I really like this place.

Excellent relaxing stay
Reviewed By MimeckoThe town has a true spa character. If you are in this hotel, you are in the center of the spa town. Excellent access to spa treatments, park - everywhere. Hotel cusine is excellent, massages also available in the hotel. Functional hotel´s wellness as well + board games = billiards, table football and slander studio as. The only weakness is that, the hotel inventory would already need a partial modernization, everything is already "used" probably in service from the 90's. In some previous review, someone complained about room cleaning. It is true that the rooms were not cleaned by the way of storing personal things, but everything was kept clean, so I didnt miss it very much and the wear of the interior was compensated by the grace and enthusiasm of the entire staff, which was proven by repeated experience. I enjoyed sthe stay here a lot!!!

Reviewed By katkuta123The hotel provides smaller rooms with bathroom, flat tv. No fridge,no a/c. Most of the rooms with balcony. Pets allowed ! The accomodation is ok for and average 3*.the restaurant on half floor, nothing for disableds. The food is a Slovak "traditional style" -all meat,nothing for vegetarians or new cuisine lovers. The pool and sauna area is super,5* !!! although one could prefer the "no jump to pool" to be respected by families with children and the htl staf. The location is the real star of the htl, near the spa centre of the town and the park and the new pool Zelena zaba. We had an accommodation and medical wellness package. This "wellness" is, unfortunately, very bad quality. The staf is not keen on working in the htl, poor masages, some asking for tips..a shame for the whole stay.

Hotel is classic type of cityhotel, which in addition to spa stay, is more focused on business clients. Hotel has 10 rooms, rooms are stylishly decorated and feature all the facilities that are expected of a good modern hotel, with top quality bed. Parking.
Very nice hotel
Reviewed By Chava KWe stayed in the hotel only 1 night. The hotel is in great location at the beginning of the pedestrian walk. In about 10-15 mmintes walk you reach a beautiful park/forest. The room was spacious with a small balcony very clean an d comfortable. Breakfast was good. There was a private parking. The hotel owner was very pleasant an d helpful. If we come back to the area we will definitely stay there for longer.
