Nice hotel with good and convenient location (right opposite bus stop). Good arrangement and nice and cozy room. Staff speak limited English but is helpful to provide guidance. However, hotel is quite commercially oriented as they asked for storage charges for bags after check out even for a few hrs which we found very strange. Onsen was good and they have a small outdoor extension for sulphur spring.

Despite that the hotel closed the spa and pool due to the pandemic, the hot spring bath was nice and relaxing. Our room wasn't ready when we went to check in and we were told that take a some time. My friend wasn't very impressed with the staff at the front desk. While sipping on a cup of complimenary coffee, we decided to go down to the town for a bite to eat. We were rather mobile since we rented a car. The considerable delay in being shown to our rooms would've been unacceptable had we been stuck at the hotel with no means to get around. The bed was comfortable, bathroom roomy, and the breakfast was excellent. That breakfast made up for any mishaps during checking in. It was a pity that the ocean started to cloud over just as the sun was setting. There were some clouds on the lake side during sunrise, but still, the view was amazing. Renting a car is recommended, since the hotel is pretty far from the airport and sits at the top of a mountain. There's nothing else within the immediate vicinity.

Checked in for a one night stay. Tatami room was not very spacious for the 4 of us. The bathroom was small and compact. The onsen was very basic with 2 or 3 pools. No temperature indicator at the onsen. However, the scenery from our room was excellent. We could see the whole lake and even the Lake Toya 'Mount Fuji'. Breakfast items are adequate and quite delicious. Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

Sleep on Tatami in the floor. The hot spring is excellent. Not too crowded and easy access to amenities inside. Good view to lake Toya. Buffet was ok but not many choices Nearby to drug store and 7-11. The only cons is that the toilet is extremely tiny around 4’x4’ Apart from that everything is fine.

Perfect for our snowboard trip to Hakkaido! Room was everything we needed. Included a mini fridge, microwave, toaster oven, cups and plates. The room had a sitting area to relax after a long day on the slopes. The view from the room was incredible! The bathroom included a bathtub jacuzzi which was perfect for sore muscles after snowboarding all day. Only thing to note, you would need a car to stay here as it is quite out of the way from transport and the small town at the bottom of the lake. Great stay!

To start with, the staff made our stay excellent - from when we arrived an hour early because of the rain and they met us at the car with an umbrella and let us check in early, through to providing us with extra bed linen when our son dirtied some, and just being very friendly - this was a highlight. The location isn’t in the main touristy part of Toya, and for us that was an advantage. It’s in a more local part of Toya town so the views remain excellent but you are close to more local cafes, famous local donut shops and more off the beaten track places which we loved exploring. (Definitely easier if you have a car I imagine!) Facilities wise, our room was great for a family with two young kids, the outside bath in the room was a special experience and the main hotel onsen was a good size and not crowded. Lots of nice little touches like a huge bowl of fresh cookies in the room and a nice coffee machine - so from reading previous reviews I definitely think this hotel is taking feedback on board and doing a great job. Dinner was a set course and breakfast was buffet style. They did a great job of changing out items because we’d let them know of an allergy in advance and they provided full kids chairs and eating implements. Great stay!

This hotel was an absolute waste of money. I travelled with a group of 20 to this hotel to tour the surroundings. When I got to the hotel I was instantly unimpressed by the lift. There was one and it was tiny. Seriously, the rooms were not much better. The beds were mattresses lying in the floor. The cleaners wouldn’t even make the beds for you in the morning. All they did was give you two towels nothing else. The room was tiny and service poor. Pillows were as hard as rocks. They even felt like rocks. This hotel was horrible. Never coming back.

We booked the Japanese style room with a fantastic view of Lake Toya. Room size is big (for Japanese standard). It even has a sitting area for you to enjoy the view of the lake. The amenities is a bit outdated but all in good working condition. Within walking distance to the Mt. Uzu Memorial Park. You are also able to see the night fireworks from our window. The onsite onsen has indoor and outdoor. We tried that it was was good.

We stayed in the loghouse room for a night. The balcony and bathroom had a great view of Lake Toya! Room was extremely spacious for two, there were two big single beds and even one in the loft, which we didnt use. Bathroom had all ameneties and a huge bathtub and window for the view. Food was wonderful! We booked a plan that includes dinner and breakfast but did not expect a 8-9 course meal for dinner. He also explained the ingredients of each dish to us (didnt remember most of them but alot were made from the local Hokkaido products). We had a choice for breakfast- japanese or western style, took the western style which was a simple egg, bacon, sausage, vegetables, gratin platter, nothing too fancy but very delicious. Also came with Hokkaido melon. Service was also good, efficient and we were shown to the loghouse with no issues. WIFI worked well. Location- just a 5 minutes drive away from Toya onsen for the fireworks. We went in summer but i am sure this place will have another charm of its own in winter!

All the Japanese rooms are lake side. (Western style is mountain side) Buffet style dinner and breakfast.(All you can eat crab and scallops) You can see fireworks from your room on the lake side.(4/28~10/31)
The view from the hotel is pretty good and the price is much better compared to the other more famous hotel next to it. Food and service is ok but don’t expect to be served as if you are eating at Nijo market. One plus point is that the hotel was not crowded and the onsen was pretty much a private one. The outdoor onsen is quite nice too.
