I have stayed at this hotel few times now. The hotel is located few minutes walk from the station ? the rooms are reasonable size. The bathroom is good size with shower and bath ?. All the necessary toiletries are provided. There is washing clothes facility with the hotel and costs about 500 yen to wash dry. Overall excellent but only complaint is that I found that room for was not vacuumed cleaned. Everything is cleaned good except the carpet on regular basis. Cleaning should be improved. The staff at desk speak little English. The breakfast is reasonable , eggs are cold and western variety is lacking.

The family rooms and themed kids’ rooms are perfect for entertaining even our littlest guests and come stocked with numerous amenities. You can also try the hotel’s traditional hot spring baths and unwind in Nasu’s largest sauna, featuring a jacuzzi, indoor pool, and spa facilities. The hotel also boasts tennis courts, as well as newly-opened pet rooms and a dog run. Visitors can enjoy delicious cuisine at the hotel’s four restaurants, Herbage, Nasuno, Méli Mél’Anges, and Lemon Balm. Several rooms are equipped with private dining areas where authentic French cuisine can be served, and the Eau clair tea lounge, the La Stella cocktail bar, and a nightclub at the hotel give you the perfect excuse to unwind with a drink or dance the night away.
This was our second time here. We came 2 years ago and were happy to return for a one-nighter in Nasu. We stayed in the Main tower. The room felt new. Big, comfortable and clean with a beautiful view on the forest and mountain. Nice big balcony. The dinner and breakfast buffets are really great. Very enjoyable and well organized. The swimming pool was fun. The public bath is spacious and very relaxing. Even if it is busy you can enjoy. Wonderful. The hotel is spacious. The grounds are beautiful. This is a family oriented hotel, so many kids. Lots of fun for them. Staff are wonderful. Great service. Love it. If you come to Nasu, Epinard is a solid choice.

We stayed in the forest villa building of the hotel. Many buildings for this hotel. Oriental Garden seems to be the nicest. Forest Villa was pretty good. Room view was forest, and we were right down the hall from the onsen. There are 3 onsens you can visit; Main building is the biggest unfortunately many of their saunas were closed, Forest Villa was small however very nice and Oriental Garden's onsen was the most relaxing. Try all three! The pool was closed when we went. Room was clean. Hotel is clean. We ate the buffet at Forest Villa for dinner and breakfast. It was good. Service in this hotel is great. Very friendly. Good place for families to stay. Beautiful place to stay if you are in Nasu.

This is the oldest Western-style resort classic hotel in Japan. Famous dignitaries from around the world, including Isabella Bird, Albert Einstein, and Helen Keller, have stayed here. The building itself is registered as a Tangible Cultural Property and a Heritage of Industrial Modernization. Although the hotel has been expanded and remodeled many times over the years, it has retained as much as possible of the original appearance of the building, so some of the facilities feel old. However, this is one of the charms of this hotel. On the first floor, there is a corner with autographs and photos of famous people who have stayed at the hotel in the past, and although it is very small, it has the aspect of a historical museum. The annex does not have an elevator, but the main building does, so people with disabilities such as wheelchairs can stay in the main building and the new building without any problems. I would recommend booking a room at this hotel, including breakfast and dinner if possible. There are several cafes and restaurants around the hotel, but only a few of them are open at night. Therefore, you may have to wait for a long time in some cases due to the crowds of people visiting these restaurants for dinner. In addition, there are no convenience stores in the area, and even the nearest one requires a 10-minute walk. It's recommended that you buy your snacks in advance before checking into the hotel if you need. The location of the hotel is a bit of a consideration, but even so, a stay at a hotel surrounded by the rich nature of Nikko will be a wonderful experience.

Hotel
We stayed here two nights and found it solid, if unspectacular. The hotel is just a couple minutes' walk from the train station, very easy to access. There were a good few bars and restaurants right outside, though the bulk of the city's nightlife appeared to be on the other side of the station (not that that means it's far, though the big station in the way did feel like a bit of a barrier). We were perfectly able to entertain ourselves in the area. The Japanese buffet-style breakfast was good, though it did run low on options rather quickly. We found ourselves with a limited selection on the morning that we arrived in the latter half of the breakfast timeframe.

SO SAD.This is not right!!!!My belongings were missing after the house keeper cleaned the room. I told the hotel but the manager, Mr. Tawaraya said we could not find it so we COULDN'T return your item.

My wife and I booked the Nikko Station Hotel II for April 13 - 15 as a non refundable reservation. This week, the US State Dept issued a Level 4 warning for all US citizens to avoid international travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In spite of their normal policy, the Nikko Station Hotel II made an exception due to the COVID-19 pandemic and issued a full refund. We will reschedule our trip to Japan after the pandemic passes and WILL DEFINITELY rebook at the Nikko Station Hotel II, as they have shown excellent customer service in a difficult time!

Stayed two nights in November. Quiet due to pandemic restrictions on tourists but the hotel more than met my expectations. Two minutes from one rail station, JR, six minutes walk from the other, Tobu, and across the street from the local buses, this place is superbly located. Great breakfast buffet, small bar and separate onsen for men and women. Comfortable room. What more could you want for the price?

The good 1 - Just next to a farm and you can visit it too 2 - Very peaceful location 3 - Rooms are large, clean and decent 4 - Great onsen (public bath) The bad 1- Location is atrocious. Dont even book this place if you dont have a car equipped with a GPS. It's way out of the way. 2 - Creepy. Hotel is practically deserted. I only saw one employee throughout entire stay - the guy at the front desk. They didnt even have a bellhop to help with the bags. We would stay at another place next time.

We booked an entire house using Towa Pure Cottages. They offer a wide variety of accomodations from hotels, cottages, glamping, resort cabin/log houses, and designer houses around Nasu. Guest benefits includes free admission tickets to the nearby parks like Nasu Highland Park (rides for a fee), and Rindoko Lake Ranch. The house that we booked is called Momijigaoka #46. It has a warm feeling with a knotty-pine interior furnished country cabin style! Windows and high ceilings bring the outdoors inside while you relax in a comfortable couch. The front deck is perfect for evening barbeques while gazing out at the beautiful nature of Nasu. Our friends grew up in Sagada, eventually worked in Baguio City -the summer capital of the Philippines- and they give this place a thumbs up. ?? The nature, the trails, the fog ? totally brings back the memories of their hometown! ? The house has both japanese tatami and western style rooms. It also has an open-air bath we all love! I usually bring my own cleaning supplies, but didn’t use any because the house was spotless. Needs a kitchen mat, dish cloth, and a hand soap tho. ? The only down side is there are no fans and ac’s in the rooms! We could open the windows but it wasn’t enough at least for us. ? Glad our friend brought 2 fans so we were able to sleep comfortably. ? Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Very relaxing away from hustle and bustle of the city. We had a great time with our friends and we will surely come back and stay longer this time! ?
