Kostnice House no. 220 is one of the most beautiful and precious buildings in Tábor and its main asset is the ideal location. It is situated on the main access street leading to the town historical centre, on the pedestrian zone in Prague Street, very close to Žižka Square (50m). You live in the very centre of the Old Town surrounded by all important historical monuments and a number of interesting pubs, cafes and shops. Rooms are after full reconstruction (Spring 2015).
A Great value in a lovely historic square of Tabor. We booked a small room as we arrived on part of our cycling trip and only need a room to sleep, we are usually out exploring! Note the less expensive room is going to be up some attic stairs that were fine for us but would not be for anyone with a fear of heights! The use of space in the attic was well done, very small but had own bathroom w/shower(only) and cool venting ceiling windows. The staff were helpful so we could store our bicycles and the breakfast and coffees were tasty. A lil disappointed check out is so early at 10am but we Made best of it with time to tour the Hussite Museum just across the square the next am then! Thanks for a lovely stay in Tabor, I enjoyed the town square location and dining offerings nearby very much! Do order a dessert from the lovely cafe downstairs as well, so good!

Hotel Dvorak is situated in the centre of the historical town Tabor. It is characterized by rich history associated with Hussite movement. This hotel is placed in the area of the former brew house, which has been restored recently together with the castle Kotnov and Bechyne's door. These ones are put down in UNESCO organization.
Hotel Dvorák offers nice and clean rooms, experienced staff, quite a large parking yard. The hotel is very close to the town centre but still quiet. It is visible that the hotel has got the ambition to host business and social events. And that may cause a lack of privacy of the kind (e.g. in the resaturant).

Family owned hotel on higway D3 (easyli accesible). Big parking space around hotel. Czech and international cuisine. Fresh fish from hotel ponds.
Found the Elzet by accident as we needed a place to spend the night and found this place. Very interesting and colorful decor. The room was clean and well set up for our stay. The restuarant which is part of the facility is excellent. Try the Hungarian Fish soup! It is great. For guys, check out the mens room next to the reception lobby. Made me wonder what the womens room had for decor on their walls.

We had a paid reservation for end of April and arrived there at 12:45 in the afternoon. We had double parked in their rear parking lot and we needed to make sure it was okay to leave the car there pending the 2:00 check-in time. Unfortunately, climbing the stairs in the rear (the only access) and buzzing the reception, we found that there was nobody there! A man did finally answer the intercom, but we could not hear what he was saying and he would not buzz us in. Turns out the reason he couldn't is that he was not on site. We were in an awkward position. Left at the top of this industrial stair, facing an opaque steel door and having to decide what to do with our car below. We left to get a room at a different hotel. We had no choice. I did not want my car to get booted. In my threads with the owner since, he has declined to give any refund or even to apologize for leaving his business unmanned in the middle of the day. Their web page says that the reception is staffed throughout the day. If nothing else, just be aware that that is not true. The hotel looks like a decent place and I always try support family-owned business over chain. But as a matter of principle, I will not be giving them my business when I return to Tabor.

My wife and I came to Czech Republic on an Ancestry trip, after a couple days in Prague we took a train to Tábor as our home base to smaller nearby villages. Because of our personal schedule we arrived hours before check-in time, but thankfully Zdenka, the owner, let us drop our bags off as we went exploring. When I inquired about a laundromat Zdenka offered to wash them on site, which we did. I also needed a rental car and they took care of communication between the local car shop and I, and some ride-sharing necessities. Then, my wife's back went out as she had a slipped disc, and Zdenka offered up her own personal crutches to make the day worth while, and even offered to give up her own massage appointment to my wife. Breakfast was always amazing, rooms always clean and the price is great. I owe them a lot of thanks.
