Truly dedicated staff

The staff was invaluable for booking our tour to Bromo and, Mr. Purwadi in particular, helping us getting the right train tickets from Probolingo to Yogjakarta. On the day of departure, they surprised us with perfectly travel-ready breakfast and lunch, which were delicious. Can highly recommend Ecolodge.

Disappointing
Reviewed By mrscomlWe were due to stay here for two nights but left after one. We had requested a room with not too much walking….the whole of the hotel is spread out with lots of stairs almost unavoidable. We were given a room in a perfect location. Our room was on the face of it really nice but we soon discovered shortfalls. There were bare wires where plugs should be, no bedside lights. Not enough towels or pillows and everything was damp. The bed was really uncomfortable and lumpy. Although the web site indicated Coffee and Tea making facilities were available in the room this was not so. We enquired after coffee and creamer to be told there was none. After a visit to reception we were told we’d get some, this was duly handed over by a security guard when we returned from the restaurant. Dinner and breakfast were fine but there was little choice of cold beverages. The staff in the restaurant tried really hard. After the first night we had decided we’d had enough.

Lovely guesthouse!
Reviewed By JFFBelgiumFor those who only want a room to sleep a couple of hours before an excursion to mt Bromo, any place in Cemoro Lawang will do. I wanted to stay one more night to rest a bit, and this was a perfect place to do so. What makes the guesthouse special is the truly warm welcome from Aziz and his wife. They can arrange your trip to Bromo and also your transport back to Probolinggo or even Surabaya, if needed. The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast (just plain white bread is a bit on the light side). For your other meals, there is a small warung just next to the homestay which serves delicious food. Or you can warm up something in the little kitchen that is at your disposal and enjoy your meal in the garden. Don't hesitate to stay a bit more and to explore this beautiful but underrated region.

Reviewed By tavagpstI stayed with my 6yrs old kid. Comfortable stay. Teh reception staff were too good to entertain my kid while managing their routine work. Thanks to them :) We found the hotel value for money. Would visit again if I had to go mt.Bromo again with family or friends.

Difficile da trovare anche perché molti tassisti non conoscono bene le strade ma con l'aiuto di google maps e di qualche passante ci si può fare. Il posto è spartano, la doccia ahimè è fredda..ma noi ci siamo stati poco piu' di 5 ore perché alle 2 ci siamo svegliati per fare l'escursione sul Bromo (500.000 rupie in due) con jeep e autista privato. Gestore della guesthouse molto carino e fortunatamente parla un po' di inglese (molto raro in Indonesia!!). Per 1 notte va più che bene!

Good for one night stay on the way to Bromo
Reviewed By PablitooosNothing special about this hotel, we came with a group, slept and went to Bromo at 3am, you don't really need much for a half night stay :) We ordered a lunch in the restaurant and it was really good in form of a buffet.

Reviewed By Павел СВ отеле жуть холодно, отопления как и всюду в Индонезии нет, а воздух на горе очень холодный круглый год. Пришлось спать в одежде подо всеми одеялами. Туалетной бумаги в туалете нет, в комнате нет окон, только в тёмный коридор. В остальном нормально, хотя и чрезвычайно аскетично. Не факт что там рядом найдётся что-то хотя бы сопоставимого уровня. На раз переночевать в горах пойдёт.
