Reviewed By Bro44This place looks quite glitzy from the outside but inside is quite basic. My room was actually a small apartment with huge lounge complete with fridge but very small bedroom (no room for a case) and small bathroom- all a bit drab and badly lit. The breakfast room was much brighter but the buffet spread was basic and not plentiful harking back to when the town was called Leninabad

Good Choice
Reviewed By John AOur last stop in Tajikistan was very pleasant. Hotel is well situated and quite modern. English speaking staff was very helpful. Rooms are on second floor accessible only by stairs. Restaurant staff could use some training. Pre-ordered dinner arrived all at once from soup to desert. That said, the ice creace was excellent.

Hostel Sharq 21 is located in the historic district of the city of Khujand. Nearby there are markets Panjshanbe Bazaar and Afghanisan, the mosque of Sheikh Muslihiddin and many cafes and restaurants. To the city center you can walk in 10 minutes. The hotel offers free Breakfast and free Internet. Guests can use the kitchen and balcony. The reception is open around the clock. We are glad to see guests in our hostel.
Cancel agreement about booking
Reviewed By shoooberoniWe booked two separate rooms in Sharq 21 hostel by phone. Before coming we asked again if our booking is okay and they agreed. But when we came (after long 6 hours road way) they said that rooms are already (or still) are not available. The hotel's administration asked if we want to book a flat, which is situated far away in down town with the same price, but we disagreed and canceled our booking. Thus, we stayed in another hotel. The most unpleasant thing is that they did not notify as about rooms' availability...

Bad service
Reviewed By Janne ALocated by the river but there is some walk to the center. Practically nobody speaks any English. Spacious room. Tv has (in theory) around 800 satelite channels but only 10 are visible, none international. Shower was otherwise good but it was pulsating hot and cold water, and therefore it was either burning or freezing. Bed was too soft for my taste. A/C was good. Terrible bass drum noise outside at late evening. Breakfast is served from 7 to 10. We arrived there 7:05 since we had a little hurry forwards. There was nobody at the restaurant, no lights, nothing. We walked reception to ask where is breakfast. They guided us to the restsurant. When we said it was nobody there, someone came with us wundering where is everybody. It took some minutes still to make an order. At 7:25 we got our breakfast which was not very good.

Hotel offers a modern hall for organizing and conducting conferences, presentation, meetings, training sessions and seminars. The hotel has 20 rooms , including 11 luxury singles, 7 luxury doubles and 2 apartments. All rooms have air coditioning, telephone , Wi-Fi connecting , refrigerator and satelite TV. The price includes breakfast, internet and parking space with monitoring.

Reviewed By JustLoveToFlyThe room is big and clean and the bed is comfortable. The facilities in the hotel is pretty good with swimming pool. However, the wifi is almost non existence. Service at the front desk is also not good. Food is not bad though.

Like staying in the palace from the Shining
Reviewed By Lobna FI really have a difficult time rating this place. On one hand, this is Tajikistan and options are super limited but on the other hand I was legit creeped out by my room and the long hallway with flickering lights I had to walk down to get there. Not all rooms had this characteristic though, so perhaps I was just unlucky. This place is oozing wish Soviet-ness though... down to the cafeteria-style buffet. So here is what its like... its an enormous resort with large palace-like buildings that have rooms, meeting rooms, spa facilities, indoor pool, etc. They have AMAZING gardens, absolutely gorgeous... millions of roses, and they have a man-made lake, which everyone calls the sea. For Tajikistan, this is one of the only places people can come and swim in an open body of water or enjoy a pool, so it is a somewhat famous place. But by Western standards, it really did remind me of the Shining... large palace... large gardens... creepy vibe. I had a suite, which basically comprised of 2 rooms: a small living area and a bedroom with ensuite bath. I also had a balcony, though the door did not close properly, so I basically just closed my bedroom door every night just in case the balcony door opened and for safety reasons. The bed was super uncomfortable... I could feel every spring in that bed. There was also no AC or fan in the room. Other than that the room was fine I guess, had a TV, had a safe, had some basic furniture. There was also a kettle and cups, but no coffee or tea or complimentary water. I bought some tea and coffee from one of the little shops, so plan ahead and bring with you... especially if you like coffee. I had the hardest time finding a decent cup of coffee; it is all cheap Nescafe packets as everyone drinks tea. (The coffee issue is Tajikistan-wide fyi, bring your coffee with you if it matters to you.) OH, and wifi is only in the lobby of the main building... not accessible in any of the rooms.

Reviewed By J3356MM_Как нам повезло, что выбрали именно этот отель! Очень удобное расположение. Здание 2019 г постройки, соответственно сантехника, мебель, всё новое. Кстати, эту гостиницу открывал сам Эмомали Рахмон. Приезжали мы с тремя детьми, поэтому выбрали 4-местный номер. Номер просто огромный, детям даже было место, где побегать. В номере все удобства (душ, туалет, холодная, горячая вода, холодильник, чайник, кондиционер) Персонал очень вежливый, внимательный и отзывчивый. Мы много где останавливались, но с такой доброжелательностью встречаемся впервые. Общение возможно на русском, английском и таджикском языках. Готовы прийти на помощь в любую минуту. В номере всегда чисто, свежее постельное бельё и полотенца, гигиенические принадлежности, вода. В 20 метрах - кафе от гостиницы, где всегда можно вкусно и недорого поесть. У нас завтраки входили в стоимость брони. Были приятно удивлены, что позавтракать здесь можно и в 12 часов, а не как в большинстве отелей - строго с 7 до 10. Меню разнообразное, повара могут приготовить любой заказ, в том числе и детское меню. Официанты просто душки. Отдельно хотелось бы поблагодарить владельца отеля - Зарифа! Это Человек с большой буквы! Не хватит слов, чтоб сказать, как наша семья Вам благодарна, Зариф!!! Получилось так, что мы поздно приехали. Зариф лично нас встретил, всё показал, рассказал, нас накормили и отправили отдыхать. Ни в одном отеле я не видела, чтоб лично владелец отеля так помогал своим гостям! Постоянно на связи, готовый помочь решить абсолютно любую проблему! Огромное спасибо за всё!!! Если соберёмся снова в Таджикистан, то останавливаться будем только в отеле Бустон!

Reviewed By davagibThis hotel is the antithesis of the large corporate hotel but with a warm welcome and personal service. The rooms are large sparsely furnished but my bed was really comfortable. Cooked breakfast is limited to boiled eggs but there is plenty of meats, jams and bread.Coffee is unlimited and made on demand (not from a machine or urn) Felt genuinely sorry to leave after a one night stay.
