Excellent stay. A bit noise on Saturday night, but not too much of a problem. I imagine this will be a problem for some in August though. Very friendly staff. Nice spot for watching life go by on Stromboli. Location is very convenient.

We stayed here at th end of october. We were the last of october at the end of the holiday season on Stromboli. The room was very nive and clean, witd a nice view on the sea and the volcano. As my wife has some allergies, breakfast and dinner were addopted to her needs. We stayed here for dinner, and had a very good meal for a reasonable price. The host, a family, were very friendly and very helpful. We can only recommed this hotel. The hotel is also one of the closest to the observatorio, were you can watch the eruptions every evening. (during our stay there was an eruption every +/- 30 min.

‘La Nassa’ guesthouse is located on the seafront in Ficogrande, just opposite Strombolicchio. As it is by the seaside and very close to the centre of the village, our guesthouse provides the ideal place where to spend a pleasant and relaxed holiday in Stromboli. Built in the typical Aeolian style and surrounded by a large, flowering garden, all rooms are en-suite and have access to a terrace from where to enjoy fabulous views of the sea or the volcano.
Simple, clean & tidy like a greek village house with a lotof chracter. Good location out of the crowds but close to everything: Beach, church, restaurants. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Open views around. If you look for luxury it is not for you.

La Lampara was the highlight of our trip. This convenient bed & breakfast was cozy and I can't overstate how great the food was. Paolo (possibly the owner but definitely a leader of the staff) woke up to have breakfast ready for us at 6:30AM for two days in a row (we had ferry troubles). The day we were meant to leave, all ferries got cancelled due to rough seas and Paolo very kindly put us up for another night. The restaurant attached to the BnB has fantastic dinner. I highly recommend the calzone napoli and the rigatoni della casa. The restaurant also has nice volcano views. If you're looking for a friendly, comfortable stay on Stromboli, La Lampara is the move. Also, the staff speaks functional English which was very helpful. Not fluent, but enough that between their limited English and our limited Italian we always understood each other.

The location is perfect, very near to the habour, and the room is very nice. Unfortunately the wifi wasn't working and even though there is a kitchen in the pictures on their website unfortunately there isn't any.

We were only on Stromboli one night, which was a shame as we were rushing in and out to see the volcano. Well sign posted about 15 minute walk from the boat (don't encourage those polluting golf buggies please) brings you to the hillside B&B - rooms are laid out around a cute garden and the rooms have the same ambience with quirky features. They are a little dark given all the lush greenery outside but it really was just a crash pad. Valentina was very helpful and efficient and organised packed breakfast as we were on the first morning boat. Would have been nice to have had an extra day to relax. Plus points are its price, location and Valentina. Drawbacks like many places on Stromboli - its cash payment only.

A beautiful place in Stromboli in a wonderful huge garden. Separate Eolian stye houses (bungalows) with own terraces for each guests. A great homemade breakfast and a very friendly and helpful signora.

From the pickup to the drop off at the ferry dock everything about our brief stay was excellent. The place is spotless. The location is far enough from the 'main street' of Stromboli to be peaceful, but a ten minute walk will get you into the action - such as it is on Stromboli. The manager was completely focused on our being satisfied. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

Not to be confused with the hotel in Calabria with the same name, this is the Villaggio Stromboli on the island of Stromboli. I spent a week here with a group on an organised trip. I gather the hotel is popular with group bookings e.g .schools and tour parties. I had pre-arranged a pick up from the port (cost 3 Euros) in one of the hotel's Ape (tuktuk) or golf cart vehicles. Stromboli Village feels surprisingly large when walking in the heat, so this was a good move. The hotel is a veritable maze of passageways, courtyards, white painted buildings, terraces (including many with fine views across the sea to Strombolicchio) and staircases. Even after a week I'm still not sure I have a mental map of the Villaggio! There are lots of flowers in planters and shaded areas on the roof for relaxing (which we used for our group activities). One of the staircases leads down to the hotel's little black sand beach area (watch out for jellyfish close to shore!) The hotel has a bar and restaurant, (though the lowest level covered bar seating area was not as pleasantly atmospheric as the higher terraces) and a separate dining room where breakfast was served (and dinners for groups like mine). I stayed in room 32 (not a sea view room). My initial impression of the room was rather basic and monastic (the crucifix about the iron bedstead didn't help with the latter). While there was a wardrobe, the dresser/desk had the tiniest of drawers (no use for storing clothes), and the fridge wasn't cold enough to be useful. There was a ceiling fan and proper aircon. I didn't watch the TV (attached to the wall literally just below the ceiling!) Bathroom ok not swanky. (A refurb would not seem premature, espeically the shower cubicle). Breakfast was nothing special, although there was at least an egg-boiler gadget (possibly a concession to the German visitors with whom the hotel is popular, as I've first encountered the DIY boiled egg thing in German hotels). Ask the staff to make you a cappucino and it will be better than the one from the push button machine. Orange juice was the usual blood orange coloured carton juice. I tended to stick to the yoghurt and muesli (though you could have croissants, toast, cheese or ham, and a couple of cakey/tarty Italian dessert-at-breakfast options. Our group deal included dinner every day - 2 courses, generally a pasta, risotto or hearty (e.g. bean and pasta) soup, followed by a fish or meat option (fish being the better bet), vegetarian option and sides. The pasta/risotto/soup starters were definitely better than the mains, and a few of us said we'd have just been happy with these. Irritatingly the sides were often brought long before the main dish, so I was left with the dilemma as to whether to eat e.g. my potatoes or spinach as soon as they arrived (while they might be hot) or wait for my fish (by which time they were cold). Catering for special dietary requirements of members of our group (e.g. vegans or those needing gluten free) was a bit hit and miss. The fish encrusted with demerara sugar (the packet of which did indeed advertise its gluten free status, but not its suitability as an alternative to conventional wheat flour for coating a piece of fish before frying) will go down in culinary history for the wrong reasons! I ate once in the open to the public restaurant - the food there was defnitely better than the dining room dinners (pasta a la Norma followed by refreshing lemon granita). A swimming pool is under construction (though I don't know when it is due to be finished). Not really being a sea swimmer, I'd have had a much more enjoyable stay if there had been a pool I could use.
