Known as the Home of Golf, pretty St. Andrews appeals to even those with no interest in the game. Set on a wide bay, the town is dotted with medieval ruins, stately architecture, and—thanks to its large student population—plenty of cozy pubs.

The Bridge is a family-friendly dining experience, with views over the infamous St Andrews' Swilcan Bridge and the Old Course. Enjoy a range of British and European dishes here. Eighteen is a destination rooftop restaurant and bar with unrivalled views across St Andrews' Old Course and West Sands Beach.
Great Hotel, Great Location and Great People. This was not our first time to the Rusacks as we have been going there for over 15 years. This was our first time since the new part of the Hotel opened and it is so much better. Everything was perfect from checking in to checking out. Excellent facilities and the new bar on the top floor is amazing with the best view in St Andrews

I stayed there for 2 nights and will never forget the magnificent surroundings, the stunning building, the quiet and peaceful atmosphere, the sound of the sea and the vision of the sunset going down on St Andrew's church on the horizon. I was blessed with insane weather for 3 days so it probably helped a lot but anyways would recommend staying there. The only two points I would bring up for improvement was the slow service at the bar (however did not bother me at all I had time) and the mattress was not too comfortable, uneven surface. But thank you all to the team, you are rocking it.

This luxury family hotel, situated in 10 acres of secluded gardens, has been under the same family ownership for over 70 years. Located a few minutes' drive from the centre of town, golf courses and beaches, the hotel is popular with couples and families. Rufflets is surrounded by mature gardens which supply the fine dining restaurant. Free parking and WiFi.
We enjoyed our brief stay. While pricey, Rufflets is luxurious and the room was impeccably clean and comfortable. The breakfast (included with the room) was very good and the service in the dining room was attentive.

We are a small, friendly, informal 3 star hotel. The first in St Andrews to be awarded the prestigious title 'Townhouse Hotel' by the Scottish Tourist Board. The quaint old building has a warm personality all of its own. You will love the craftsmanship of the many original features. Built from 1764, the hotel consists of two Georgian terraced houses, both exactly the same layout, built for two brothers by their father, Mr Thomas Low. With only 22 rooms (all en-suite), we are able to maintain very high standards in accommodation and service without losing our warm and caring attitude towards our guests. Special, great value seasonal, weekend and golf breaks are often available, so contact the hotel for details. The hotel will also be delighted to help arrange golf, sightseeing tours and visits to places of interest. We look forward to you spending some time with us at The Albany Hotel and getting a real flavour for everything St Andrews has to offer.
The room was neat and very clean. Staff was great, extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding. Short walking distance to restaurants and retail stores. Would definitely recommend to others.

No less than Premier Inn St Andrews will do when you're visiting this prestigious town that's also known as the 'home of golf'. It features an on-site Thyme restaurant, and new generation bedrooms each with an impressive 40" flat screen TV, bright, modern bathroom with a large shower head, and brand new, slumber-inducing, king-size Hypnos bed. Our St Andrews hotel is on the edge of the town centre, within walking distance of the seafront and the very royal University of St Andrews. Golfers will delight in the fact we're a very short drive from the mecca of golf, St Andrews Links, as well as other great local golf courses.
Room had what we needed, spacious and clean. Only negative comment would be that you cannot open the windows, it was a bit stuffy and we had to have the air conditioning on as a result (and had a headache when we woke up).

Bordering the renowned 17th ‘Road Hole’ of the Old Course in the Home of Golf, the Old Course Hotel enjoys a spectacular location overlooking the famous links courses, the West Sands beach and the beautiful Scottish coastline. Discover the historic university town of St Andrews, just a short stroll from the resort, and explore the surrounding countryside of the ancient Kingdom of Fife. With a combination of classically elegant and contemporary interiors, the hotel offers quietly confident service, luxurious facilities and a warm welcome in the finest traditions of Scottish hospitality.
We visited Old Course Hotel for Easter weekend. We arrived by train into Leuchars and took a taxi to the hotel (15mins drive/£15). We arrived early and our room was not ready so we decided to venture into the town and enjoy good weather before checking in. When we came back, the check-in was quick and we were promptly taking to our room. The room was very traditional Scottish, with a lot of lovely touches. Bed was huge and very comfortable. I had spa booked straight after, so I headed to the famous Koehler Spa for facial and massage. The spa area was very busy but comfortable; coffee, water and fruit were served in the waiting lounge. Despite choosing Kohler’s signature package, the treatment itself was so so, I expected more. There was no music played as the equipment was broken so I ended up playing music from my YouTube (not great). In the evening, we had a booking at the Road Hole. It was very quiet that night and we have most of the room to ourselves. The views of the golf course were spectacular and it made for a wonderful evening to be looking across to the Bay of St Andrews. Food was very good, we had scallops for starter, fish and steak for main, followed by cheese platter. We also had lovely wines to go with our food. Breakfast was served in the same room, and once again, views made for a wonderful start to the day. It was an a la carte service combined with a small buffet (made to order eggs or pancakes plus cooked items, fruit and veg at the buffet). Overall we had a wonderful stay and will be back. The service could be better and more friendly and spa was a bit of a disappointment but it still made for a wonderful stay.

Really lovely, comfortable room in the Centre of St Andrews. Stayed here last week on a business trip. Room was ideal, lovely decor, super comfy bed, dedicated work area. We selected a room, but there are larger apartments too so perfect for any kind of stay. Nice outdoor space at back of building with seating. I would definitely stay again & can confidently recommend.

Still my favourite in St Andrews. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the crispy onions takes me back to my childhood dining in The Niblick. The reason for a 4 and not a 5 was the peppercorn sauce just not quite reduced enough but I must say it was lovely to actually have a sauce made from cream and freshly ground pepper and not whole peppercorns. I look forward to my next visit before this establishment is destroyed and turned into another block of flats. A disgrace to see one of last family-run hotels in St Andrews become a mere memory.

16th Century Coaching Inn that has a name for being eclectic. It has won awards for service, great food, wine list, best small music venue in Britain, best small golfing hotel in Scotland, amongst many more. The Bedrooms are very modern in complete contrast to the age of the main house. The food is all locally sourced and has a modern European edge to it.
We stayed here after availing of a special offer from Hotel Breaks for a couple of nights earlier this week. On approach I was a little worried as the outside of the property adjacent to the road looked a little run down. However once we turned the corner into the courtyard and car park we were pleasantly surprised. Upon arrival I was shown a superior suite by Kate., the room was delightful, a super king size bed, en suite with jacuzzi (oh I DO love a jacuzzi so I was already in 7th heaven. ) a very comfortable large room, only downside is a few creaky floorboards and it would be nice to have 1 pillow which wasn’t as full for sleeping. The room had all the required amenities including a coffee machine, 2 comfortable chairs for lounging and enough wardrobes, chest of drawer s etc if you were staying longer. The main reason we had chosen this Inn was because it was the virgin overnight stay in an hotel trip for our cocker spaniel Murphy, boy did he land on his feet. Staff made a fuss of him and he was given his own very cute water bowl for the duration, they even gave us a little container to keep the leftovers we had during out meals so Murphy dined like a king, spare ribs, black pudding, sausage bacon. He may never eat kibble again.?? We were served tea and a scone on arrival by the lovely Hannah who made sure we had all we needed, Jack the manager checked in regularly and we were very comfortable. We dined in the restaurant both evenings as our offer gave £50 per night towards dining. Again we were a little worried thinking this is all lovely but let’s hope the food is good because if it isn’t that would be shame. Well folks, you need not worry, the food was Devine. I wish I had taken photos but we were too busy enjoying the cuisine. Night one I had mushrooms followed by fish pie and ice cream for pudding. All absolutely gorgeous, particularly the fish pie. Hubby had smoked salmon/prawn starter which again was delicious, the icing on the cake for him were the spare ribs (loving ribs in USA they had high standards to match these) and they did. murphy was lucky to get a few morsels later. He finished with sticky toffee pudding and we rounded the evening off with a nightcap in the bar. Murphy joined us for that having had a snooze while we dined in the restaurant. We also were able to order a bottle of wine which Kate kindly kept behind the bar for the 2nd nights meal. Breakfast was served in the bar area in the morning & murphy was able to join us for that. Breakfast was tasty but I think after the indulgences of the day before we weren’t able to do it justice. The Meal on our second night was equally delicious, massive portion of fish and chips and fish cakes for dinner followed by ice cream and the Scottish cranachan sundae. All in all we loved our stay in the Inn, great value, excellent food, lovely surroundings and the staff Jack Kate and Hannah really helped make our stay special. Hats off to the chef, your food is fabulous. And Murphy just loved his 1st doggie break. Thanks a million folks. ????

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Hotel Du Vin and it was amazing. The Events Coordinator, Heather Whyte, was so helpful with every step of the process and really did her best to make sure we had the best day possible. The staff was so attentive and kind that it made our day so much more relaxed and as stress free as possible. We were able to dress up the room exactly how we wanted it to look and the food was amazing. We stayed in the Young Tom Morris suite and it was pristine. The views from the room overlooked the ocean and I wish we had more time to stay there before we had to leave for our honeymoon. Couldn't have asked for a better reception venue and staff and we can't wait to come back and stay in future trips! Thank you Heather and team for all your hard work!!
