Just spent a wonderful 5 days here for the Easter Weekend. The service was exceptional starting with Amanda at the front Desk who brings a more Westernized approach and reality to The still Nascent tourism of SPARTI . As I have said many times in regards to 5 Stat Hotels , the proof of their worthiness , is in how they handle mistakes , that unfortunately are always made . There was a slight mistake that was rectified by Amanda with the professionalism this Hotel deserves . Vasiliki was also extremely healthful through your stay . A shout out to Vasili the Portier for his Smiling attention to us thru the check ins and outs . The wait staff at the breakfast were spectacular. Also the Food served at the midnight meal and Sunday Pool Buffet was really superb . I have probably forgotten the names of Staff that were also excellent . If time allows , I will return in the next week to enjoy the relaxing Holistically Healthy environment this Wonderful Hotel provides !

Ilaeira Mountain Resort is amphitheatrically built with an air of luxury on a Laconian slope of Mount Taygetus of unparalleled natural beauty. With Ilaeira as your base, Laconia is a unique region of Greece to explore as it offers both seaside fun and mountainous adventures. Ilaeira is also only a 10 min. drive from Magganiaris spring, the starting point of the E4 path that leads to Profitis Ilias summit, as well as other mountain trails. The historical center of Sparta and Mystras are only 15km away. The hotel consists of 3 villas, 8 private residences and 4 suites, all with panoramic view and sophisticated luxury. Each room presents a unique aesthetic concept and reflects the personal taste of the owners. Every detail of the resort has been designed with care and our ambition is to make every one of our guests experience true “filoxenia” in Sparti –i.e. the doting warmth of hospitality in a fairytale-like oasis.
We spent a weekend at the resort as we wanted to hike up to Profiti Ilias. The resort was comfortable and charming and Olga was a fabulous hostess as were the other staff. All the staff were very polite and eager to accommodate our every need. The morning we would do our hike up the mountain meant we would miss breakfast but they made us a basket with what we wanted for breakfast. We had 4 rooms which were all well maintained, comfortable, clean and had a romantic feel to them. We also ate at the restaurant on site and whatever we had was delicious. The resort is situated in a beautiful location on the side of a mountain with a fantastic view from any angle or room. Measures regarding COVID-19 were carried out very carefully. We absolutely enjoyed our stay.. All in all a great stay and highly recommended.

A nice hotel at a convenient location. We stayed in one of the buildings a block off of the plaza. It was quiet. The room had two queen size beds, but a smaller than expected bathroom. Everything worked well, except for the WiFi, which was always sporadic and marginal, despite having a number of access points. The restaurant was OK, but not significantly different than other places.

Stayed here for 2 nights during our Peloponnese trip. Hotel is in the village of Mystras, some 5km from Sparta, regional capital. We had rental car and parking is free, you just ring the bell and they will park your car in the garage. Upm arrival, there was simple saliva Covid19 test, and check in was done in some 10 minutes. As Hyatt Globalists we were upgraded into executive room, which was nice, roomy, clean and very comfy. Shower had incredible water pressure, bed was on the harder side and very comfy, my back never had any issues there. Spa is fantastic, wife had nice treatments, and we both had lovely swim inside and outside. Breakfast is served inside or outside and you can choose plenty of items from a small menu. The only suggestion I would have is to devote more attention to details; for instance, we were told that we can use massage options in the inside pool, but non of them actually worked, but this in minor compared to overall excellent service and hard product. Would surely return!

Positives: room size was good, nice balcony with a good view of sparta/mountains, location was perfect (very close to the center square and a great night-life), the staff at the hotel was fantastic. The room came with both a desk and table and were of decent quality. There was also a nice little table you could eat on at the balcony. I really liked the black out curtains and double-glass doors that lead to the balcony. The room was both quiet and dark (if you want it to be) which is very unusual for Greece. A lot of hotels push you to try their food/restaurant and such. This hotel didn't. That being said I highly recommend the food at the restaurant (which surrounds the lobby area). The food was amazing. High quality and portion size was good. The drinks were also made to perfection. Food/drink was probably the best part of the hotel. I got a beautiful fruit platter for 2-3 Euro. With all the positives above, I unfortunately had to give the hotel a rating of 2 out of 5. Negatives: The beds were just old. The mattresses and pillows were uncomfortable. Unfortunately, when it comes to hotels. The main purpose is to have a place to sleep. So the most important aspect of the hotel, the bed, was far below average for Greece. All the fixtures were outdated: The lighting for example. There was odd furniture throughout the hallways that should just be thrown away. The shower, though it didn't leak water all over the floor, was small and had a very ugly curtain that was...retro and odd. The parking situation was horrible in all of Sparta. Luckily the hotel staff moved some signs in front of hotel so I could park. Staff was great, situation was not. By far the worst aspect of the hotel was the allergy situation. The hotel hallways smelled like an ashtray. The bedding including the sheets/pillow cases and blankets were over-chemical treated. It was like being around someone with a bad odor and they try to make up for it by putting on far too much perfume. I woke up every morning with difficulty breathing. The combination of chemical fumes and nicotine (or whatever the other smells were) made staying at this hotel impossible for me. This is a shame. If the hotel could fix their beds and some fixtures and do something about the allergy issues, then it would have probably been one of the best stays of my trip. I do recommend stopping by the restaurant at some point even if you don't want to sleep there.

The Guesthouse Pritanio is located at Tsintzina, in the very center of Mount Parnonas. It is 230km far from Athens, (about 2 1/2 hrs driving), 42km from Mystras and 35km from Sparti. It is set upon an altitude of 1100m, in a lush vegetation area of evergreen trees and black pine trees as well as several springs. It's composed of 3 stone-built buildings totally integrated in the environment and with the least possible impact to the nature.
Stunning views from the bedrooms, restaurants and bar overlooking the mountains and the village. There is an extensive bar menu and a very delicious breakfast. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, I can not wait to go back again.

The room was clean and okay. If you are a bar outgoing person, then its fine because theres a bar across the street and it gets loud at night. The city wasnt that pretty though, unless this is for Mystras, i wouldnt really come here
