Southwest of London is Southampton (Soton to the locals), a metropolitan area centered around the port. However, tucked away on the side streets are ancient gems such as the Tudor House, Mottisfont Abbey, and "God's House," a museum located in a tower in the medieval wall. The ultra-modern Sea City Museum celebrates Southampton's seafaring past and the RMS Titanic. Looking for nightlife? Travelers can dance the hours away with bars, clubs, and live music, all accessible by public transportation.

Take all the comforts and flexibility of your home, plus the best bits of a hotel and you get room2 Southampton, the world’s first Hometel.
Very nice room, teenage child enjoyed being in the "loft" room, friendly service, the onsite pizzas were very nice. Being able to check out at 2 made a huge difference for me, especially as I overslept (bed very comfortable) and it meant I didn't have to rush around. My negative observations are minor - wi fi a bit slow and it disconnected once or twice, Could have done with a frying pan, kitchen tongs, more loo paper, more than one dishwasher tablet more than one ordinary tea bag.

Set on a small, private marina with a striking ’super yacht’ style design, our critically-acclaimed flagship hotel is known for its stunning contemporary interiors, luxury facilities and outstanding customer service. Opened since 2017, it has earned Southampton’s only five-star designation to date. The 119 luxury rooms including 10 suites which all come with 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, waterfall showers, Nespresso coffee machines and White Company toiletries as standard. Most rooms and suites have views over the marina, or out across the Solent to the Isle of Wight.
We were really looking forward to staying for 3 nights at this hotel. Unfortunately for many reasons the hotel is not worthy of a 5* We have stayed at many 5* hotels including the Ritz and the Langham in London and we expected to be greeted by a doorman at the front of the hotel, had our suitcases taken from the car to our room and the car valet parked. The website does not show the front entrance to the hotel and we had to ask someone where to go. Our Marina View suite with a large balcony was very comfortable and we were very pleased with it. The food offered in the restaurants was okay but not 5* and surprisingly there were no tablecloths, heavy badly designed utility crockery (the teaspoon wouldn't stay on the saucer) and cheap cutlery. Service in the restaurant was friendly but the staff were not trained very well, if one person had finished their meal the plate was taken before the other had finished eating. Unused cups and saucers at breakfast were collected up by placing fingers inside them and returning them to a cupboard likewise glasses. The pool was much smaller than it looked on the website and was very cold, the ladies changing room had towels placed on the floor by staff to mop up water from the showers. I told the spa receptionist the pool was too cold and after checking the temperature she agreed to contact maintenance but unfortunately it wasn't any warmer the next day.

Fab location and the usual excellent breakfast and comfortable bed. BUT still no servicing of the room during your stay. Ask for tea, coffee and milk nightly from reception and get new towels from a cleaner.

This hotel was very convenient for us to visit friends and family nearby. This was was our second stay in that last 12 months and on both occasions we found staff to be very friendly and helpful. On this second visit we stayed in the newly refurbished accommodation which is alongside the main hotel. The breakfast selection was very good for us as we don’t eat meat. We will definitely be staying here again.

Busy family friendly hotel. Across the road from a lovely park & a short walk into town. Our room was comfortable bright & clean . 2 beds a single & a double . Meal times were very busy as it was half term and the hotel is in the deal with Pepper Pig world . Little fingers into everything on the buffet. No on-site parking not easy to access on foot as it’s in the middle of a traffic island .

Great central location. Minor heads up it is near a relatively busy road and the train line. It does have double/triple (?) glazing so wasn't an issue for me but might be for very light sleepers. The hotel felt secure, you can't access the lift without a key card and the same for the corridors the rooms were in. Overall exactly what you'd expect from a premier inn - comfy bed, clean room. No frills but good value

I’d like to particular commend Sammi who served the most incredible breakfast! She realised I was gluten free and then proceeded to bring me Gf toast with my selected poached eggs (done to perfection) and bacon - and all delivered with a smile. Amazing customer service! Thankyou Sammi!!

Our Premier Inn Southampton (Cumberland Place) hotel is in the heart of bustling Southampton, so there's lots to see and do right on your doorstep. Hit the stylish shops at West Quay shopping centre, marvel at the contemporary art at Southampton City Art Gallery or head to Southampton Football Stadium to cheer on your team on match day. At the end of a day full of excitement, treat yourself to a tasty dinner at our in-house Thyme restaurant and then relax in your extra comfy, kingsize Hypnos bed.
We stayed at this hotel after a day out in nearby Portsmouth, and then to visit Paulton's Park and the general Southampton area over the next couple of days. The car park was a two minute walk at the back of the hotel, and worked out fairly cheap (£3.50) when just leaving the car in it overnight. The hotel itself was just a five minute walk across the park to the shops and restaurants, and to the SeaCity museum. We had a family room at the end of one of the corridors on the first floor of the hotel, unfortunately there was a noisy family next door with a small child that we could hear crying - probably due to the adjoining door within the room to accommodate larger families next to each other. The only downside was the bath did not have a plug; and when when we requested one we were told that one would be sent up - it never arrived....

Boasting stunning design and countryside views, Hilton at the Ageas Bowl is part of the Ageas Bowl resort, the home of Hampshire Cricket. The hotel's large ballroom, eight meeting rooms, multi-purpose suites and 24-hour connectivity center are ideal for events. Enjoy complimentary WiFi in your spacious guest room, a treatment in the eforea spa, a round on Boundary Lakes Golf Course, or dinner at BEEFY'S by Sir Ian Botham Restaurant & Bar.
Making allowances for Covid: Fabulous venue, comfy rooms, friendly staff and great place for a "cruise booking with car parking included". Good value and we use this hotel every time we cruise. BUT, THIS TIME we were appalled with the "lack of" quality in the bar snack sandwich. Poorly presented. No salad ( EVERY pub, at these prices, provides a sandwich with a bit of salad and a few crisps). No choice at Hilton - just bog standard sliced white bread and processed ham A REAL LET DOWN., Allowing for all that happened in lock down - we saw no excuse for a stained carpet in our room.
