Behind an unassuming facade lurks a little hotel with a lot going for it. This old building has been tastefully renovated and modernised. The public areas are spacious and the bedrooms simple but spotlessly clean and well equipped and the bathroom was modern and immaculate. But what really sets this hotel apart is attention to detail. The welcome was friendly and helpful, ample free parking is provided, and help with bags was readily offered. Tea and coffee making was well provided and fresh milk available in the bedrooms was a nice touch. Bedding was of a good quality and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and obviously freshly cooked. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

From the moment we arrived we felt at home in this village pub. It felt as if we were locals calling in on our way home. The bed rooms were large, beautifully decorated with super king size extremely comfortable beds. Everything worked and we even had bath robes in the shower room. The food was delicious as was the local beer. I am now looking for an excuse to visit the Castle Inn again as soon as I can.

We stayed here for two nights with our toddler back in September, in the room with a bunk bed and massive bathroom. The room was clean and more than enough for our needs. It's definitely in a peaceful remote location but with decent road access. The small car park over the road was busy when we first arrived with only one space. The breakfasts we had were very good, full English the first morning and then eggs on toast the second.

The cottage is really lovely, very remote, quiet and peaceful On arrival we were greeted by the beautiful Poppy who shown us to the cottage! The cottage is nice and clean and cosy, and has plenty of amenities including tea and coffee and squash for the kids, the bath is huge The hot tub again is massive and was lovely and warm on arrival ready to jump in and relax The only 1 problem we had during the stay was the mattress on the bed which we found very uncomfortable. Please be aware Deer’s leap is very remote with the nearest shops around 20 mins drive away, we did a little shopping for drinks and snacks before arriving and would recommend to anyone else to do this The roads leading to and from Deer’s leap are very narrow so make sure to drive carefully All in all we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend staying here

Not the Hilton but a very comfortable well lived in family farm house. Traditional feel with a bonus of hot tub and sauna and we enjoyed both. For a large family gathering (4households, 8 grandchildren and 2 dogs!) celebrating a big birthday it was ideal. Relaxed! The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We would return!
